Himawari Reviews
Everything so tasty. Chicken karage and butakakuni tasked so good.
We stopped by because of a friend's recommendation. OMG! The food was sooo good. We will definitely be making return visits...as in like every time we are in San Mateo.
The food is exceptionally good, especially for the price. Located in a nice area with good music, although it can be a bit loud at times. Serving was prompt and sever attentive

Himawari is a popular spot for ramen lovers, offering a variety of dishes like deluxe ramen, butter corn ramen, and tantan ramen deluxe. The broth is flavorful, and the proteins like chashu and braised pork are well-cooked. The Shiro Tan Tan Ramen is recommended for those who enjoy a little spice, providing just enough heat to feel warm without any burning sensation, and it is hearty and savory. The restaurant also serves pot stickers and sushi, which many customers find enjoyable. The jarjarmen is a new addition, described as delicious and refreshing, with a good amount of spice that doesn't make you feel heavy. Regulars appreciate the attentive service and unique ramen options, often returning with family. The cozy ambiance with smooth jazz adds to the dining experience, though some feel the bathroom could use updating. Overall, Himawari remains a go-to place for satisfying ramen cravings.
