Meat came out fast but we were there early. Robot comes out with meat. Not a ton of options but no fault of restaurant. Think it's just the company with lack of meat options.
We got the classic AYCE and went two rounds. Technically three, but we only ordered dessert on the third round. Our server, Stanley, patiently explained the ordering process as it was our first time there. Another server, Fish, checked in on us multiple times. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I saw employees talking to several customers as if they were regulars. We will definitely be back.
Mongolian style hot pot in downtown San Mateo built around one idea, a broth good enough that you do not need a dipping sauce. The lamb is the point, sliced thin, and the half and half pot settles every table's spice debate. Come with a group and let the pot do the work. Thank you for the warm dinners. Five stars.
