The young cashier kept playing around with his friend who was paying for food and when it was my time to pay his whole attitude shifted and he wasn’t helpful and just plain rude. Kept trying to rush me to pay to keep talking to his friend.

Tang Bar is a restaurant where customers create their own Asian meal by selecting ingredients and a style of cooking. The cost is based on the weight of uncooked ingredients. The food is described as fresh and flavorful, with a good selection of vegetarian options. Customers can choose from a variety of soup bases and spice levels. The build your own bowl adventure at Tang Bar allows guests to get everything they want and nothing they don't, making it easy to create the perfect bowl. The chicken broth base is a popular choice, and many enjoy the sweet and spicy bowl. The food tastes good, especially the “Just a kick” soup base. Although, the “pay by the weight” format can cause surprises when you come to pay. A veggie bowl will be charged the same as a meat bowl and items like mussels with the shell on will quickly bring up the weight. It's expensive but yummy. The staff is friendly and efficient, keeping the place clean and orderly, which adds to the overall positive atmosphere. The restaurant captures the fast casual concept well, even within a mall setting. Parking is shared with the Stonestown Mall, which may require some walking depending on availability. Overall, Tang Bar is the place to go for a hot bowl of delicious soup filled with only the ingredients you love.
