We have recently returned from living for a year in Penang, Malaysia (not too far from Ipoh). I can honestly say this food is just as good if not better than what we found in Penang, which is the food capitol! We loved the references to Penang in the restaurant in the form of cute murals found in Georgetown. We enjoyed the char kuey teow, the green beans with belachan, the roti canai and the curry laksa. I just ordered spring rolls while waiting for family to pick me up for a birthday dinner. I had my debit card only for $10.00 order when woman taking my order points to the sign on back wall stating cash preferred; Five dollars extra if charge or debit card used. I wasn't going to pay $15.00 for 6 veggie spring rolls that cost $10.00. The woman said she will let it slide this time.
