Paris Baguette is growing on me. A little. Since I don't often eat pastries and sweets I come here for the coffee and a reasonably quiet and clean place to sit. The coffee has improved service is good and the noise level is acceptable. Is it just me or is the music volume at the big chain shop now intolerable? I digress.... Have a sampled the pastries? Yes. This is a great place for a morning breakfast pastries and great coffee. The service and the staff are always very friendly, right from 7 am and all the way to the end of the night. But I do have one little issue, or tidbit, not a complaint, but an observation I wanted to bring up. At other bakeries, donut shops and coffee houses, at opening time, they all (for the most part) will have a lot of various items and selections of baked goods available to sell. We took 2 different donuts from here. Both were custard filled and one had a chocolate on top. The filled custard felt more like cream than a custard. And the sweetness of the filling was too low. Will get the same donuts again as it's not worth it for us. The size of the donuts are large and fluffy and they are expensive.We also took a slice of chocolate cake with macaroons on top. It tasted great.
