“My family and relatives came to this restaurant. Because we were a big group, we made a RSVP ahead of time and glad we did as this place gets packed quick! The dim sum was great, and the staff was friendly and responsive. I wouldn't mind coming back here in the future.“

“Our church had an anniversary dinner at Yan Peninsula restaurant yesterday. We have a delightful experience from start to finish. The quality of the food was fresh and tasty. The staffs attentive and friendly. We are enjoying a wonderful evening.“

“Food was good. Service is a little lackluster; it almost as though our table was invisible. Not once was our table checked on during the meal. The only time a request could be placed was when we asked the young lady that came to remove empty plates from the table.“

“Best dim sum in SF. Shark fin dumpling and deep fried pork puff are the best items. Low prices. No seating. To go only. Closes early, at 4 pm.“

“We have been here multiple times and always walk away full and happy, it’s never a miss. The extensive vegan menu is really well done and the servers are always so kind and welcoming. Shout out to Carol for recommending a few limited time dishes to try and something special for my girlfriend’s birthday .“

“A cute little restaurant with a lot of soul and delicious food!! The woman who served us was really nice, the place is very clean, the menu has a variety of options and there is a really good vibe.
My husband ordered the basil fried rice with a moderate level of spiciness. He loved it, although it was still a little too spicy for him. Next time he will ask for less spicy. I ordered Kao Moo Dang and it was delicious! It is sweetly spiced and there is also a sweet and slightly spicy sauce that comes on the side. To finish, we ordered an egg tart. I could eat it every day!
Overall, we both enjoyed it very much and there are many more options that I want to try. We will definitely be back!“

“This place was extremely delicious!
My bf and I tried a variety of buns and dim sum here. The Dim Sum, hands down, was made so beautifully and tasted even more so. The taste was flavorful and simple in a way that felt like home. We also had the bbq pork buns one steamed and one puffed, it was a sweet bbq flavor which I really enjoyed. The service was excellent and they even provided a suggestion of items to try based off what we were ordering. The puffs were light and soft, my bf isn’t much of a bread person so it had a bit much for him.
Overall, I definitely recommend this place for amazing quality dim sum, buns, and friendly service.“

“A very locals option for carry out dimsum — a selection not as extensive as other Cantonese bakeries on San Bruno Avenue, but good quality. Charsiu bao (BBQ pork buns) are meaty (not fatty), getting the more-savory-to-sweet proportions just right.“

“Authentic dim sum restaurant. We dine in and had some Shuman, shrimp rice noodle roll, and Custard bun. Food was great except the rice noodle roll was too much noodle and not enough shrimp. We ended up getting some more buns and dim sum togo.“

“This is a takeout spot located in a business park, so it can be hard to find. However, their dim sum is pretty good and it's definitely a good value for how much you get. Our favorites are the pork buns and siu mai. The hao gar are pretty good, too. The bean curd is a little hit or miss, but they're packed full of filling. Pickup process is interesting as you ring a doorbell and someone will come bring out your order. They can be flexible with pickup times, though it depends on how many orders they have to fill. Parking can be a pain, but on weekdays it's not much trouble finding a spot along the street.“

“We went there for Thanksgiving for the first time. As a vegetarian, I can say I had many options, and what I chose was outstanding. My wife and daughter enjoyed their fish and meat dishes and I can honestly say there wasn’t one dish that wasn’t outstanding. I heartily recommend this place and I’m considering going back for Christmas if they’re open.“

“Delicious food, and great value. Some areas for improvement: the music is way too loud and really random (recent pop music mixed with 1960’s old music), and the service is slow because only 1 woman is waitressing all the food tables plus working the kitchen and handling final payments, while the other person is useless and does nothing. Please lower the music.“

“What delicious food! The service was quick and options were authentic and delicious. We loved their hot and sour soup and the pan fried soup dumplings. We got sesame balls for dessert on the house. We even left with more food than originally ordered and some extra good fortune!“

“Always like their old type seaweed pork/ shrimp wonton. Last week 6/2 ordered same dishes wonton soup was totally different- most fillings of wonton were outside not inside filling 🙃 lol 😆
The other two noodles were tasty 😋 and very good looking 👌“

“This is the best freaking Chinese food/dim sum with an amazing price point. MY FAVORITE SPOT!! I used to go to city college and their dim sum would let me get so much food for cheap, and keeping me fed throughout the whole day I would have at school. I love it there and they make everything authentic every morning it’s so bussin.“
“We love the variety of options for vegan dim sum, we ordered 9 dishes. The only dish I did not enjoy was the bao, it is slimey inside, I'll stick to Loving Hut for that dish. I wish the eggless tarts and baked bbq were available, we'd have ordered those too. Only took off a star for service because it took awhile to get our bill and a lot of smoke was coming into the restaurant, we were in the farthest corner away from door but the smoke was still very strong.“

“The king crab meal is very special - they make it 3 different ways!! We did steamed with vermicelli, fried with salted duck yolk and sautéed with noodles. You can also do sautéed with rice or steamed with egg. Make sure to call ahead and pre-order. The servers were very friendly and hard working. Can’t wait to be back!“

“Came here for the stinky tofu, and tried some of the other Taiwanese specialties... The fried green beans was a stand out, and the garlic cucumbers was very fresh. Also ordered the stewed pork bento box, which was their version of Taiwanese stewed minced pork over rice, which was served with a stewed whole egg, boiled bok choy, some yellow oshinko.... The crab pork soup dumplings were gigantic, about twice the size of the soup dumplings at DinTaiFung, but couldn't quite match up to it's famous brethren in terms of quality of ingredients. Then again, you're paying less than 1/2 the cost. Service was friendly and quick.... Finally, the stinky tofu wasn't that stinky... But did meet the expectations.... Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and not greasy at all. Would I come back? Yes“

“Recently renovated and updated, the new owners have done a wonderful job with this place. Quick, easy but delicious food ready to go. Pan Asian with a mix of Hawaii is what you’ll be treated to at this quaint spot tucked away in Vis Valley.
Definitely recommend giving them a visit if you’re in or around the neighborhood.“

“Ordered the sweet and sour pork, the pork was moist and tender. Also ordered pork pot stickers were they were very tasty too. The two lady's that greeted me were very sweet and friendly.

“Sweet Delight Bakery in Excelsior is one of those hidden SF gems that still feels authentic. Great prices, huge selection, and some of the best dim sum takeout in the neighborhood. Everything comes out fresh, quick, and packed with flavor without the tourist pricing you see elsewhere in the city. The siu mai, pork buns, and sesame balls are always a go-to. Perfect spot when you want quality dim sum without spending a fortune. Friendly staff and classic old-school bakery energy too 🥟✨“

“It’s really a to go place but surprisingly they offer a kitchen that will take orders and even customize your order. The staff is very nice and friendly. A few IYKYK things 1) It’s one of the rare places that still make mochi desert. They have a pineapple version and a peanut version. Both are really good. 2) Their bolo “pineapple” buns are also pretty good and they have it in a dedicated space with heat lamp. 3) they make soy milk from scratch. And it’s delicious.“

“We’ve been heading over to The Night Market for the past few years! The classics are all good, Hainan Chicken, Beef Chow Fun, minced Beef over rice. But if you want to try something unique to The Night Market try the Longan Crispy Pork over rice. I can’t imagine a dish that so uniquely represents the Asian American experience. Finish it off with a mango Sago!“

“If you’re looking for the ultimate comfort food in San Francisco, you have to try the Fried Sticky Rice (生炒糯米飯) at Golden Coast Restaurant (1540 Ocean Ave). It is perfectly chewy, savory, and loaded with the best toppings crunchy fried peanuts, fresh scallions, and thin ribbons of egg that make every bite a textural dream. It’s the kind of dish that feels like a hidden neighborhood secret where the quality is consistently delicious and the portion is incredibly satisfying for the price. They are open every day from 10:30 AM to around 8:30 PM (and as late as 9:30 PM some nights), so you can drop in for a late breakfast, a solid lunch, or a full dinner. I’m already planning my next trip back just to have this again, but it’s definitely a dish that’s even better when shared who’s coming with me to grab a table and dive into a massive bowl of this sticky rice?“

“My favorite style of food growing up is Hong Kong cafe style, so to have Inshou close to home is a treat! A regular order is the baked spaghetti bolognese and brick toast (with condensed milk and peanut butter). Topping it off with a HK milk tea makes it perfect! The staff are super friendly and they remember us, and we’ve hardly ever had to wait for a table. Service is fast as well.“

“First time visit. This place used to be China village restaurant. It serves dimsum and hongkong style dishes. It has live seafood. I heard the chef is from Pallette tea and garden. When we arrived it was not busy but later in the night the restaurant is almost full. Overall, the food is yummy. The beef is a bit salty. Service wise, they might need to do better as if you go to another sizable hongkong seafood restaurant , someone will greet you and serve right a way. We will try the dimsum next time.“

“Food is delicious dim sum, we were lucky to have a table in a private room cuz we had 17 people. It was only one woman wait staff to help us with food, it was not much service after they brought in the food and she really left us alone and we need more tea but no service until when we ready to leave then give us tea. That's really bad to me no tea for a long time and only refilling once! She must be so busy and we go outside help ourselves for finding boxes for leftover food. Be good to have good service with a smile too?“
