“What delicious food! The service was quick and options were authentic and delicious. We loved their hot and sour soup and the pan fried soup dumplings. We got sesame balls for dessert on the house. We even left with more food than originally ordered and some extra good fortune!“

“We’ve been heading over to The Night Market for the past few years! The classics are all good, Hainan Chicken, Beef Chow Fun, minced Beef over rice. But if you want to try something unique to The Night Market try the Longan Crispy Pork over rice. I can’t imagine a dish that so uniquely represents the Asian American experience. Finish it off with a mango Sago!“

“The Peking duck was fabulous and juicy! We got a half, which we were surprised how little it was. We should have had a full. You have to reserve the duck before you get there.
We had a meat roll I think it was. It was amazing! My friends mom doesn’t like spicy so we got this roll. Highly recommend! Lots of veggies and excellent sauce!“

“Baked BBQ Pork Bun was the best that I've had. Dim sum was a lot more expensive than the last time I visited. I thought that it was cheap that time, this time it was not expensive, but definitely not as reasonable. Food was still pretty good, but just not as good as several other favorite places around the country. Cash only!“

“Food was good, but did not particularly stand out compared to other dumpling places. Had great service from one server, but the rest were very stressed and hurried. It was hard to get their attention. Food presentation was great and they surprisingly have a large bar. I would come back again and try different items.“

“So glad we stopped here for Dim Sum. It was a busy holiday weekend and they ran out of a few items so we tried a couple of different options. The Taro Puff was the highlight, great taste and texture. XO noodle roll was also fantastic.
If you are visiting Chinatown don’t miss this delicious Dim Sum restaurant, great food and great prices.“

“Delicious dim sum is my favorite dim sum takeout in Chinatown. The dim sum is incredible especially the sesame balls with red bean paste. Incredibly cheap for the quality and quantity (less than 4 dollars for 3). Slightly hard to understand the lady at the front and tried to give me the wrong pork dim sum. Overall a very good experience“

“Best dim sum in SF. Shark fin dumpling and deep fried pork puff are the best items. Low prices. No seating. To go only. Closes early, at 4 pm.“

“Came to see Motley Crue concert and stopped for lunch to spend time with my Wife. The dim sum and shumau were very delicate and wonderfully prepared. Every bite of our meal was delicious and perfectly prepared.“

“I got a pan fried scallion cake and steamed red bean buns. They were out of a few things and no signs or anything indicating that but they were very fast getting me in and out. The scallion cake was sweeter than I expected and tasted more like sesame oil than anything else, but I liked it. I loved the red bean buns. I just wish I'd ordered more! Overall a nice place if you have to wait in line, with good food.“

“Checked out Dumpling Zone and really liked it. Their choice of dumplings was a lot to choose from and they came out hot, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot.
The place feels simple and laid-back, and the staff kept things moving quickly. Solid little spot for a casual meal“

“Good assortment of house made dim
Sum. I had egg rolls and sticky rice in lotus leaf, a few times there. Easy to order at the counter, short wait for food , in a clean environment, with limited amount of tables, inside/outside
Friendly staff. Two blocks from the Alameda Farmers Market.“

“We love their bake bbq pork buns. They are on the smaller side but the filler was good with plenty of pork, not so much fat and just the right flavor. Not excessively salty or sweet. The bun is thin and not doughy. The bun and the filling balances well with each other. I’ve tried their other items too and they are also pretty good.“

“Great dumpling restaurant, reminded me of going to dim sum, but with larger portions! They had a large selection marked with a green dot for Vegan. 💚
Absolutely loved the bean curd salad, the garlic noodles, the veggie bun, and the red bean pancake!
Super duper nice staff, took really good care of us!“

“A relax old school dim sum place to enjoy sumptuous good dim sum. A favourite place for the senior regular. They even helped themself to refill the tea. A friendly place if u are familiar with old sch dim sum culture.
Food was big in portion and best of all, they don't charge tax which is very very rare in US.
Service was good by the old lady even though they are busy.
This will be my regular dim sum store whenever I visit San Francisco.“

“Great service and some of the best Chinese food I have had. Everything tasted very fresh. The vegetables had a good crunch and the dimsum was outstanding. The siumai was large and the chicken feet had great umami. The sweet and sour pork had really good flavor, texture, and crunch.
The beef chow fun came in a big portion. The tofu beef was amazing. The kung pao chicken had lots of peanuts which made it extra tasty. The beef spareribs were huge with a crispy outside and a tender inside and they were seasoned really well.
The service was great from start to finish. For the first time ever in a Chinese restaurant we did not have any take home food because we devoured everything.“

“I love this place! Delicious har gow, bbq pork buns, and chicken siu mai. The dumplings have a delicious chewy texture, and the pastry/buns are always amazing. Everything tastes so fresh and it feels like they put a lot of care and love into their food. I like their Hong Kong milk tea as well!“

“Whenever I visit San Francisco, I have to stop here. Where I live we don’t really have quality dim sum options, so visiting here is critical :) This place is well priced, quick for service, and delicious. For visitors, unfamiliar with dim sum places, you gotta always bring cash. It’s cash only. I’ll definitely return soon“

“I came just after lunchtime, craving dim sum. Got this box of crystal shrimp dumplings and chive dumplings. $14.20 for 12 dumplings
Very soft with the right amount of chewiness. Served warm. Wasn’t too hungry but needed something for later as well.
Lady serving me didn’t speak much English but still managed to understand me and was nice.
Several tables but I took to-go for eating at nearby parks.
Would go again to try more!“

“A very locals option for carry out dimsum — a selection not as extensive as other Cantonese bakeries on San Bruno Avenue, but good quality. Charsiu bao (BBQ pork buns) are meaty (not fatty), getting the more-savory-to-sweet proportions just right.“

“This place was extremely delicious!
My bf and I tried a variety of buns and dim sum here. The Dim Sum, hands down, was made so beautifully and tasted even more so. The taste was flavorful and simple in a way that felt like home. We also had the bbq pork buns one steamed and one puffed, it was a sweet bbq flavor which I really enjoyed. The service was excellent and they even provided a suggestion of items to try based off what we were ordering. The puffs were light and soft, my bf isn’t much of a bread person so it had a bit much for him.
Overall, I definitely recommend this place for amazing quality dim sum, buns, and friendly service.“

“Authentic dim sum restaurant. We dine in and had some Shuman, shrimp rice noodle roll, and Custard bun. Food was great except the rice noodle roll was too much noodle and not enough shrimp. We ended up getting some more buns and dim sum togo.“

“Hands down, my favorite place in San Francisco!!! This place has EXCELLENT, delicious dim sum and food. The spicy pork soup dumplings are some of the best I've had. Get two orders. I've tried the Singapore style noodles, (excellent if you want to add a mild flavorful noodle dish to your dinner spread). The staff is exceptionally kind, helpful, courteous and accommodating. The place is clean and inviting. The food is delicious. Thank you Ken, Jessica, Andy and Yia-Yia. Go and eat in for the lunch specials and dinner! Try the egg yolk custard buns too! Best thing ever. I've had the Mongolian Beef, Beef with String Beans, Singapore Noodles, Shu Mai, BBQ pork buns, all delicious never had a bad meal here! Go! It's delicious 🤤🤤“

“This is a takeout spot located in a business park, so it can be hard to find. However, their dim sum is pretty good and it's definitely a good value for how much you get. Our favorites are the pork buns and siu mai. The hao gar are pretty good, too. The bean curd is a little hit or miss, but they're packed full of filling. Pickup process is interesting as you ring a doorbell and someone will come bring out your order. They can be flexible with pickup times, though it depends on how many orders they have to fill. Parking can be a pain, but on weekdays it's not much trouble finding a spot along the street.“

February 2026 update: new management seems good, friendly service, nice remodel with more tables. Food still very tasty, but wontons in chili oil are a lot spicier than they were previously.“

“Popular place for dimsum, we ordered sesame balls, har gow, siu mai, baked pork bun, taro cake. A table cleared and we were able to taste a few of the items before taking the rest home for parents to try. Freshly made sesame seed balls with red bean inside is a favorite. The others had good consistency and flavor. Service is nice and efficient. Cash only.“

“When I'm in the Sunset District in San Francisco, I like to pick up some bao at Mongkok Dim Sum before I go home. They were busier a few years ago, but the line is much shorter now compared to a few years ago after a competitor opened in the area. Their dim sum is still good, and the service is pretty much the same as before. Fast and easy is good for me. I’ll still stop by next time I’m in the area.“

“Reasonable and affordable price, good taste. I’ve been here many times, really like it! Nowadays Chinese food is so pricey and most of them sucks, this one is hidden GEM. If you don’t like cooking home as me , this is an ideal place to go!!! Haha
3 dishes and 1 soup combo is GOAT!“

“We loved just about everything we ordered here but I can only specifically remember (other than the pork ribs) that the buns were pork and the shumai were shrimp because otherwise we really just pointed at the items we wanted and ate without worry. We sat outside and food came out almost immediately. Definitely will be back.“

“Consistently good food and service and reasonably priced for the quality and atmosphere. We come here when we crave Chinese food and you know it's legit because the older generation Chinese eat here too.
We have been here / taken out many times. All the food is flavorful. Lots of good choices we rotate through on the menu but I always get the pan fried kurobuta pork baos.
Some Chinese places I find the food under seasoned or maybe not that well cooked, however this place does a great job. Everything is well seasoned and even simple dishes like mixed veggies - all the veggies were cooked well with beautiful bright green color and slight crunch/not overcooked. Small but important details“
