Dumpling Zone Reviews
I hesitate to leave a review lest this hidden gem of a place get discovered by too many people. I'm surprised there isn't a line out there door to get these dumplings - tasty little morsels of perfection. And the hand pulled noodles are chewy and so satisfying. While we thoroughly enjoyed the chicken chow mein, beef noodle soup and 2 different kinds of soup dumplings, we agreed that we'd need to come back and make our way down the menu. Many combinations of flavors to choose from.
Dumpling Zone offers the best Shanghai XLB (soup dumplings) and pan-fried dumplings in the city, somehow at a lower price than similar spots in SF.
The dandan noodles were great to share, and the Black Lava custard baos were a delightful dessert.
I’m already planning my next visit.

Quiet little place with great food and easy free street parking. Not a big fan of the QR code ordering system, but this place has a following for a reason.

Dumpling Zone offers fresh, well-cooked, and flavorful food that impresses both locals and visitors. This hidden gem provides a variety of dishes, such as stir-fried green beans, shrimp pork and chives potstickers, vegetable chow mein, and har gow (shrimp dumplings). The restaurant’s streamed and boiled dumplings, chicken dumplings, and veggie dumplings are highly recommended, with potsticker and Shengjianbao being especially juicy and fresh. The big plate pork ribs are considered phenomenal, and the hot and sour soup is flavorful and peppery, offering a slightly different but excellent taste. The portions are large, and the prices are very good for the city. The atmosphere is a cozy hole-in-the-wall, which adds to the charm, and the place is very clean. Customers have praised the tasty dumplings, including pork wonton in chili oil, pan-fried pork bao, xlb, and pea shoots, which are full of flavor and well-prepared. Many visitors describe the dumplings and noodle soup as some of the best they have ever had, with fried pork and shrimp, chicken and mushroom boiled dumplings, and steamed veggie dumplings all standing out. The garlic cucumber and beef noodles are also highly enjoyed, with the beef broth being especially flavorful and succulent. Ordering can be done via app, and the service is quick and efficient. The casual, comfortable ambiance is cozy but simple, with suggestions for adding some hanging artwork to enhance the atmosphere. Parking options are unclear, but street parking or nearby spots are available. Overall, Dumpling Zone is a standout among dumpling restaurants, known for its extremely flavorful dishes that often do not require additional sauce. It is a favorite spot for many, especially for those heading to or from the airport.
