“Indian Clay Oven Exceeded my expectations. One of the best indian chicken curries and gulab jamun (indian sweet doughball) I've have in the US in a long time. I also ended up striking a pleasent conversation with the very warm and professional staff Nabi, who claimed that some of their vegetarian options are even better. I'll definitely be making another trip there soon to try their other dishes out. If you're in the neighborhood and are looking to get some authentic indian food, this is your place to be.“
“A rather odd place. First of all, the tandoori chicken and the palak paneer were fantastic – the best I’ve ever had, I think. However, the naan (we got plain and garlic) was the worst I have ever had. Think thin, bad pizza dough. The basmati rice was alright. Service was friendly but a bit slow and scattered. The women’s bathroom was dirty enough that I decided to wait until I got back home. The tension on the door to the women’s bathroom was set so high that the door slammed into me quite hard.“

“I had the buffet and it was delicious! I came near the end of the buffet on a Sunday, but the food was still hot with many entree, appetizer, and dessert options. It also comes with naan which is a plus. My server was also nice and gave a run down of the buffet.“

“We went back in August 2025 for my partner’s birthday. so happy overall.
Food: absolutely incredible. dumbstruck. the most delicious shrimp/prawns I have ever had. you MUST try them.
service: wonderful. we had a lovely server (we sat at the bar) who gave us so much inside intel and input on what dishes were like and which the staff loved most. it really made the meal special.
drinks: confusingly mediocre/bad for a place with food this good. the drinks were just… not very good. not well balanced, not skillfully made, and just… confusing. for a place with food this good, I’d have expected the cocktails to be at least Very Good. They were a little below average. That’s the only reason this is a 4 star review!
other notes: we thought/hoped this would be a romantic fine-dining vibe, but it’s actually packed with families and is not very romantically set. not necessarily a problem, just something to be aware of!“

“Hey there foodie friends, Guess what? I just had the most delicious and authentic North Indian food during my visit to San Francisco! I never expected to find such yummy flavors in the USA. From buttery naan to spicy curries, my taste buds were dancing with joy! If you ever get the chance, you HAVE to try it out. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Keep on adventuring and trying new things!“

“This place is an amazing hole in the wall! It's such a cute restaurant with good music and vibes. The staff are so nice and understanding, I have celiac disease and I'm vegan and they're super able to accommodate. They give you a ton of free food before your dishes come out and it's very affordable. Huge recommend for Bay Area residents:)“

“Fantastic experience. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed, high-end dinner. Drinks were on point - we tried the Negroni, Moscow Mule, and a chai-infused cocktail, and all were excellent.
Food was great overall. The lamb chops, chicken pepper fry taco, butter chicken, and dal were all excellent - the dal is a must-have. The aloo tikki was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The chili cauliflower was okay, but everything else really stood out.
Presentation was on par with a Michelin-star restaurant. We will definitely be back next time we’re in SF.“

“Seriously underrated. The owner wanted me to eat the panipuri in the restraunt when it was takeout order saying it would get soggy. I was like nah I'm still going to have that that takeout and he literally poured a bunch of the tamarind water into a Togo coffee cup with lid. The service is second to none. Also the lamb biryani is so good. Cost wise its not overly expensive. Taste wise its rlly good“

“It’s my first time getting Indian food in San Francisco, and I was very satisfied with eating at Noe Indian Cuisine.
Our server Subi was very friendly, kind, and sweet. The food (samosa, chicken tikka masala, chicken biriyani, naan) was all delicious and freshly cooked. The two of us really enjoyed all of the food and had nothing left on our plates.
We will definitely come back soon in the future.“

“I recently visited Taj Indian Cuisine with some friends, and it was an absolutely incredible dining experience. Hands down, the food here is the best among all the places I usually visit! We ordered a variety of dishes to share: Paneer Pakoda: Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and a great way to start the meal. Mix Grill: Packed with flavor, perfectly charred, and incredibly juicy. Dal Makhani: Rich, creamy, and slow-cooked to absolute perfection. Mint Lachha Paratha & Garlic Naan: Both breads were fresh, warm, and the perfect complement to the rich curries. The mint flavor on the paratha was a stando! If you are looking for authentic, high-quality flavors, this is easily one of the best places in California for Indian and Nepali cuisine. I will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommended!“

“So delicious and affordable! Ordered the chicken Tikka Masala. The Chicken comes in huge pieces and is so tender and juicy and the sauce is just right. You can’t skip an order of the Samosas! The flavors are so vibrant and the textures are perfectly crispy and not oily at all! The sauces are also to die for! Trust me, you have to go here!“

“We stopped there on our way to catch our flight at SF airport. We were short on time and we placed our order. Our server was fantastic helping us to order and we were served our dinner promptly. There was a feeling that all the staff worked together as a team, looking after all the tables not just their own station. That is a sign of true teamwork. We really enjoyed our dinner there. Food and service~ EXCELLENT!“

“Really great place for good taste. This is the only Indian restaurant compared to many in US found maintaining the original taste & flavour. No one will regret/disappointed after going there. Keep it up. Just last week we had our dinner.“

“I had their lamb roganjosh, aloo Gobi, and chicken chettinand. People might say Pakwan is the place to go for good Indian food in the city, but I was thoroughly impressed with what I ate at Keeva. This is not watered down gringofied Indian food. Absolutely loved the lamb roganjosh, the cauliflower and potatoes were very well spiced, and while I personally didn't like the chettinand, I understand the flavor profile and what that dish is. You're missing out on really delicious Indian food if you're not eating here.“

“Oh my God, the chef’s cooking is like a song that brings me back to India. His food is absolutely amazing. Blend of Himalayan, Nepalese and Indian. I think the last time I had food this good I was in India at my aunt’s house. They have gluten-free and dairy free options for their naan and their curries. they have a deal on the menu for $66 a couple you eat literally so much food. It’s insane.“

“First of all, the catchy name caught my attention, but the menu is what truly impressed me. They offer fresh, innovative dishes you don't typically find at regular Indian restaurants. The paneer butter masala was finger-licking delicious, and the naans were fresh and soft—they didn't even get chewy when cold. The chaats are a delight, especially the onion kachori chaat.
The absolute highlight, however, was the dessert that shares the restaurant's name: Jalebi. Fried in ghee with real saffron and made fresh to order, it is the most delicious jalebi I’ve tasted in the whole of the USA.
The hosts are a lovely couple running a family-owned business, and they truly have a calling for hospitality. When we visited right around closing time, they were still running around for hungry customers. Even when they had to turn a group away at the door, the wife immediately offered to pack food to go, bringing smiles to everyone's faces. She always finds a way to serve her customers. We really enjoyed our meal and hope to return soon!“

“Finger licking food. As an Indian, I vouch for its authenticity. Dined with my parents who loved it as well. You can adjust spice level. We did level 4, which was perfect for us. Great flavors. They accommodated no garlic request where possible as well.
We ordered Veg thali with kadhai paneer, chicken tikka masala, punjabi naan, amritasri kulcha plate and rose falooda drink.
Will come back again!
Edit: Went back again. Same amazing flavors!! Truly reminds me of Delhi food.“
“This was a great place an experience. The service was great but thanks to Elijio at the cafe and Bar. “I had a fantastic dinner at Curry and Kabab in San Mateo tonight! The **Soya Chaap** was incredibly flavorful and well-textured, and the **Aloo Gobi** was cooked to perfection with just the right balance of spices. Pairing them with their fresh, warm **Naan** made for a truly satisfying meal.
If you're looking for authentic flavors and great service in San Mateo, this spot is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!
Really liked their wall paintings though“

“Aditi Indian Cuisine continues to impress with its authentic flavors and standout dishes that truly showcase the chef’s skill and attention to detail.
The tandoori fish is absolutely exceptional — perfectly marinated, tender on the inside with a lightly charred, smoky crust on the outside. The spices are balanced beautifully, not overpowering, letting the natural flavor of the fish shine through. It’s easily one of the best tandoori fish dishes I’ve had in San Francisco.
The dosa is another highlight — crisp, golden, and freshly made to order. It has the perfect texture: light, crunchy edges with a soft center that pairs wonderfully with the chutneys. You can really taste the freshness in every bite.
The sambar deserves special mention as well — rich, aromatic, and deeply flavorful. It has the perfect balance of tanginess, spice, and lentil richness, making it the ideal companion for the dosa. Every spoonful feels comforting and authentic, just like traditional South Indian home-style cooking.
Overall, Aditi Indian Cuisine delivers consistently excellent food, and these dishes especially reflect the chef’s mastery of both North and South Indian flavors. Highly recommended for anyone craving genuine, well-crafted Indian food“

“Probably my favorite pizza place.
I have been coming here since I was a kid, and I have never been disappointed.
One of the most unique things you can do with this pizza is order curry (or my favorite Chicken Masala) and use it as a dip or extra topping on their pizzas, you will not be disappointed.
Their Pizza is really good on its own too so if you want the classics don't be afraid to get them.“

“Been eating here basically since it opened. Used to be another Indian place that I frequented but when Tilak took over, the food took a leap up.
It's still one of the best Indian restaurants in the city. Easily. Everything is so good and flavorful... from basics like dahl and butter chicken to more unusual dishes like masala lamb racks and goan prawns. If something on the menu looks a bit unusual, that you don't recognize from other Indian places, I recommend going for it.
Tilak himself and the rest of the staff are friendly and awesome, but the food... Just great stuff all the way down the menu.
So, yeah, easily my favorite Indian place in SF and the place we've been doing our company holiday dinner for the last five or six years.“
