My new favorite Indian restaurant in SF. Once we walked through the front door, we were immediately greeted by smiley employees. The dining area is cozy and intimate. I loved how each table has a vase with a single rose. Romantic touch. The food is sooo delicious! Portions are plentiful, and flavors are immaculate. You know when you go to a restaurant and things come out suspiciously quickly? Well, food took a little bit more time here which indicated to me that most of the dishes are made to order. The cumin rice was fragrant and fluffy and the spice profile in the chana masala was multidimensional. Don't skip on the naan bread - it comes huffing hot out of the oven. We went last night, the food was great and the service was impeccable. Seems like these guys really have their act together vs the old guys who used to run it. The new interior is nice, we will definitely be back.
