Urban Momo Reviews
Great little post-airport find!
Our friends picked this place and we dropped in for a late night quick bite after their long flight, and it turned out to be a really good choice.
The Brussels sprouts were tasty, though a little heavy on the fried onions.
We had a small mix-up on our side with the Manchurian and realized it was chicken, not gobi. No fault of the restaurant!

Truly remarkable flavors. Came here for lunch and had vindaloo and tarkari chicken, along with an unexpected showstopper: tandoori mushroom. All so fresh. Sitting on the patio with a Nepali craft beer, I thought, this is one of the best lunches I’ve had in a long time.
I love this place. The Chicken tiki Masala is very good. My all friend’s like that. The guys is good. I’m highly recommend this restaurant.

Urban Momo is a small restaurant offering authentic street food. The chicken biryani is spicy and flavorful, with generous portions of chicken. The steamed chicken momos resemble potstickers. The staff is friendly, and the place has limited indoor seating but offers outdoor dining. The menu features bold Indochinese flavors, similar to Indian food, with smaller portion sizes. Customers can try dishes like Tandoori Lamb, Chicken Manchurian, and Chicken Tikka Momos.
The restaurant is a true delight for anyone craving Nepali and Indian flavors. Every dish is packed with authentic taste, from the momo and choila to the chicken chilly, naan curry, and biryani. The biryani has a deep, layered spice that seeps into every grain of rice, comforting and satisfying. The chowmein is stir-fried to perfection, with a hint of smokiness and crisp veggies that keep each bite interesting. The paneer butter masala is smooth and creamy, perfect for scooping up with warm naan. The lamb curry stands out, tender pieces of lamb in a rich, well-spiced gravy that tastes like it's been slow-cooked with care. The chicken momos are a must-try: juicy, well-seasoned, and even better with their dipping sauce.
The place has a lively, warm vibe, and the food feels like it's made with pride. It's a place run by people who love what they do, including the owner Kamal Thapa and cooks from Nepal who are mountaineers and river rafters.
