“We saw the $16 Lunch Buffet sign after leaving Muir Woods towards San Francisco, just off the 101 South. Great Buffet for that price per person a couple different dishes offered were great! We saved a pretty penny instead of dining elsewhere in the area or returning to San Francisco! We liked the Butter Chicken and their different mixed curries. Much recommended if you happen to go during lunch hours.“

“Sunset Indian Restaurant, has taken over the former Naan N' Curry location, and the transformation is impressive. The interior has been thoughtfully updated with attractive décor, a carpeted dining room that softens the space, and the welcome addition of two bathrooms — a definite improvement for guests.
I especially appreciate that they now offer beer on tap, which pairs nicely with their menu. The wine selection is also solid, providing good options to complement the meal.
As for the food, the Lamb Biryani is easily a 5+ star dish. The rice is light, loose, and beautifully aromatic, with just the right level of spice. The addition of cashews adds a subtle richness and texture that really elevates the dish. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Palak Paneer, which was prepared with a creamy, well-balanced sauce and a generous amount of paneer.
An added treat was the plain naan — simple yet perfectly done — which complemented both dishes wonderfully and rounded out the meal.
Overall, Sunset Indian Restaurant is a strong addition to the neighborhood, offering flavorful dishes, thoughtful updates to the space, and a comfortable dining experience.“

“We had a great experience here. I came with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed everything. The chicken curry was incredible, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. My lamb chop rack was also very good and cooked really well. The service was great overall and we enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish. Special thanks to Norman, who took amazing care of us and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely come back.“
“A rather odd place. First of all, the tandoori chicken and the palak paneer were fantastic – the best I’ve ever had, I think. However, the naan (we got plain and garlic) was the worst I have ever had. Think thin, bad pizza dough. The basmati rice was alright. Service was friendly but a bit slow and scattered. The women’s bathroom was dirty enough that I decided to wait until I got back home. The tension on the door to the women’s bathroom was set so high that the door slammed into me quite hard.“

“We visited Tiya yesterday. The food was very good and we really enjoyed it. They also gave us a special room, which made our experience even better. The ambience is nice and comfortable. However, the chai was very cold and could be improved. There is also a parking problem around the restaurant. Overall, it was a good experience.“

“Had a great dinner at Copra. Food was great - we had the gunpowder goli vadai, thattukadai fried chicken, masala dosai, Dindigal biryani and dessert. The biryani was a little mild, but rest all very good. We all really enjoyed the dessert especially - gods own coconut variation. My only complaint is that the lighting is way too dim and low that it gives a headache.“
“Excellent service from the workers and owner was so welcoming from the step I entered to the way out. I was delighted with the quality of food and it tasted very nice with the owner even complimenting me with kheer on the house as I was visitor in SF. Overall I would recommend this to all family and friends.“

“Seriously underrated. The owner wanted me to eat the panipuri in the restraunt when it was takeout order saying it would get soggy. I was like nah I'm still going to have that that takeout and he literally poured a bunch of the tamarind water into a Togo coffee cup with lid. The service is second to none. Also the lamb biryani is so good. Cost wise its not overly expensive. Taste wise its rlly good“

“New Delhi has hands down the best Indian food in Marin IMHO, great for vegetarians! Service is friendly and delightful , and the food is excellent, with each dish having a unique flavor profile. Lunch buffet often has more unusual seasonal dishes, as well as the classics. Buffet is an incredible deal with lots of dishes, Chai, salad, samosas and pakoras, pickles and dessert all included, and delicious. Did I mention that prices are really reasonable? What's not to like?“

“I’ve been eating here for years and love this spot! Even when I was diagnosed with celiac’s I was able to keep eating here because they have so many gluten-free options.
Food is delicious, staff is incredibly nice, and the new location is so cute!“

“I spent a while researching the best Indian food in the Bay Area for my visit and Viva Goa was mentioned frequently even on posts about other spots so we decided to give it a try and we are very glad we did.
We had the Masala Calamari, vegetable Samosas, chicken vindaloo, chicken Tikka Masala, and Chicken Korma. Each curry was delicious, my favorite being the vindaloo but I was getting some curry from each. We also got the Garlic Naan and Paneer Paratha.
On top of the amazing food the service was great. The waiters were very friendly and the restaurant itself was nice. Prices were fair for the quality and I’d happily go again.“

“The food is quite good but having a blaring TV in the dining room is so wrong- it cheapens the experience, robs the atmosphere diners might enjoy on a night out. Quite unpleasant. The owners should rethink that and visit other restaurants in SF to see if they are blaring TV’s. San Franciscans do not enjoy having TV’s playing in restaurants. It’s a misunderstanding of the culture here.“

“This place made the tastiest veggie curry dish - I asked for the Channa Masala extra spicy and they did such a great job! Their garlic naan is very good too. I am not an expert or Indian food aficionado. However, I love the taste of their food and the girl I spoke with over the phone was very sweet!“

“I had their lamb roganjosh, aloo Gobi, and chicken chettinand. People might say Pakwan is the place to go for good Indian food in the city, but I was thoroughly impressed with what I ate at Keeva. This is not watered down gringofied Indian food. Absolutely loved the lamb roganjosh, the cauliflower and potatoes were very well spiced, and while I personally didn't like the chettinand, I understand the flavor profile and what that dish is. You're missing out on really delicious Indian food if you're not eating here.“

“I got Karahi Gosht and it was authentic and flavorful. Serving quantity was decent as well. I live in the South Bay and most places over there don't get this dish right. 5* from me, for the Karahi Gosht and Naan. Service understandably took some time because they make it fresh and piping hot. And I went there in between performances of standup comedy at Cobb's next door.“

“A hole in the wall restaurant with no fills bell or whistles but the food is outstanding. And that’s the best authentic food in the area. Food has been consistent for the past 20 years that I and adult children have been eating here. Kuddos“

“Relatively new restaurant opened in San Francisco with prices in the range of $25-$35pp. Delhi special chhole bhature, bedmi aloo, and Raj Kachori are really well made and tasty. Some other items we ordered - Chai, Pav Bhaji, and Onion Kachori, are okay but wouldn’t say they stole the show. Bhaji that came with the Pav was too less, and we were charged $6 for extra Bhaji that should have been provided in the first place :( Decor is very tasteful, with a lot of elements from India such as elephants, doors of old havelis, wooden pillar brackets etc. Last order is at 9:10pm, and automatic 20% gratuity is applied for groups of 5 or more.“

“We had a great meal here on a quiet Tuesday night, and I’d love for more people to know what a gem this spot is! The food was tasty — we had a variety of vegetarian dishes — and the service was super friendly. I loved the calming water feature and a lack of screens in the dining room; the presence of screens seems to be becoming the norm at more casual restaurants. Looking forward to coming here regularly!“

“Bombay Brasserie is a great upscale Indian spot. The ambiance and atmosphere is very chic Indian and it has a very friendly and attentive service staff. The dishes on the menu are very unique and there are several fusion dishes too. The desserts are absolutely stunning and a treat to your taste buds. They also brought out a small birthday plate with chocolate cake pieces to celebrate a birthday in the party. They also provide a complimentary bread and papadum basket. I recommend making a reservation with them before visiting.“
“This is our second time or so ordering from here. Absolutely delicious ! Vada pav (with three sauces) is stunning and also the Egg Hakka noodles with Schezwan sauce which was perfect! Takes me back to my childhood in India. Authentic, high quality and consistent ! Will order again“

“My experience at Chutney Restaurant was not the most pleasant. The food is generally normal, but the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. The neighborhood around looks unsafe - there are a lot of homeless people on the street, and you feel uncomfortable because of it. In addition, there is an unpleasant smell near the restaurant, which also spoils the impression. Inside, the situation is quite simple, without comfort. Unfortunately, I don't want to come back here because of the environment.“
