“The Corner Bar is an amazing addition to Mill Valley. Their food is outstanding and so is their service. I love how they constantly add new and innovative items to their menu. Jason and his entire staff know how to take care of their guests and make everyone feel welcome. Weekends after dinner are a happening scene. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.”

“A beautiful place. I was a little put off when I asked the guy at the bar what his current favorite beers were and he didn't have any. Must have caught him on a bad day/moment. What I ended up drinking was very good. Food was excellent and our server was a sweet guy. An excellent place to spend the afternoon with friends.”

“I had the pleasure of trying the brisket sandwich twice and the chicken caesar wrap. They were both huge and very delicious! Would recommend to anyone wanting something clean and fresh! Their fresh juices and coffee are also wonderful. Next up for me is that breakfast burrito with the brisket. Glad to have this closer location in my home town! The staff are all wonderful and plenty of seating. Will be back soon!”

So, we decided to try it, and we are glad we did. Our meals were cooked fresh to order and they were delicious! “Ordered a seeded levain bread to go, a lemon scone and the blueberry maple syrup muffin. Perfectly ready early and was notified which was great. The muffin and scone were excellent…tasty! The bread, which is a tad pricey (12.50) was overdone on the bottom so unfortunately the overpowering taste was burnt. Decided to salvage the excellent bread by cutting off the burned bottom! I have not experienced this at other fine, artisan bakeries in the area. May have to try the epi!”

“While not an expert I grew up in Detroit eating gyros as often as hamburgers. Hands down the best gyro I have had in ages. Warm soft pita, crisp fresh veggies, great house made sauce and really tasty gyro meat. And always friendly service from the owner. Small seating area so may need to plan to do take out versus eat in.”

Millie’s Crêpe et Crème sits inside the Mill Valley Lumberyard, quietly confident. A small window, patterned tiles, handwritten menus. Nothing competing for attention.

The crepes are the point. Thin, warm, just crisp at the edges. Sweet or savory, done properly without trying to impress. Organic wheat or buckwheat, and the gluten-free option feels intentional.

The details carry it. Buffalo milk soft serve from Double 8 Dairy. Coffee from Signal in Berkeley. Paper plates turned into menu cards, casually lined up behind the counter like a still life that happens to be useful.

Then the courtyard. Wooden tables, string lights, a slow rotation of dogs and locals who already know. You sit down for a few minutes and time softens around you.

“Best Banh mi EVER. Mill Valley location has perfected this sandwich. Good quality meat, portions of each individual ingredient- spectacular. And I'm dying to know what was in their chili oil, it was very unique and flavorful. I get bbq pork but the flavor somehow still feels traditional to a patay. Will be patronizing often, I recommend you do too.”

We saved a pretty penny instead of dining elsewhere in the area or returning to San Francisco! We liked the Butter Chicken and their different mixed curries. Much recommended if you happen to go during lunch hours.”

“I get dozens of bagels from New York Bagels in Strawberry Village every Saturday with my kids; it’s become our weekend ritual. The bagels are fresh, chewy, and come in tons of flavors. We love the friendly, speedy service and the option to buy by the dozen. A top spot for bagel lovers in the area!”

The only downer is that the guy at the counter is hard to understand, which happens, but the look of disappointment he gave to anyone who didn't tip was not cool. I never tip the first time I go there. After the first time, if it's eat in, I tip, but carryout is a no.”

“Been here many times. I prefer this place much more than the other Japanese spots in Mill Valley. I lived in Hawaii for 10 years and have a high standard for Japanese food. They offer more options and everything I've ordered here is delicious. Will continue to come here. Their wine and sake selection is much better as well.”
