“I went there to see if I could eat there, but it was a take-out restaurant.
However, I ordered delicious food and enjoyed it when I got home.
I was grateful that the friendly staff told me about nearby parks where I could eat and explained things well.
There is also a parking lot, so park comfortably.“

“Absolutely delicious meal. The best Chinese food I've had in a very long time. Definitely elevated cuisine here. Order the harmony signature beef, the chive and mushroom vegetarian thin egg noodles, the baby pea shoot leaves with shiitake mushrooms, and the basa fish filet stir fry for a 5 star meal. Marvelous!“

“Lovely Peking Duck experience, highly recommend. Visited with a group of 6 to celebrate a birthday and it was a great choice. Each dish was well presented, rich in flavours and felt very fresh. I was pleasantly surprised about their XLB too!“

“I got the kid sized boba tea sundae and it's alright. Ice cream was more on the icey side. The sauce tasted caramel to me - I expected brown sugar or honey syrup. Boba was good. I'm not sure if it's intentional but the rice cracker was stale to me.“

“I tend to rate my stars mostly for food. I Had the Mongolian beef lunch. Everything came out how I hoped with a pretty good amount. The place is small, it can take a large party but I'm not sure how it is on the highest demand hours, but I got in just fine. The service was acceptable. But as I'm writing this an hour later, I'm feeling very satisfied.“

“San Tung is definitely worth the visit! Their famous chicken wings absolutely lived up to the hype—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated with a perfectly balanced sweet and garlicky sauce. Every bite was delicious! The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The restaurant was busy, but the service was efficient, and the food came out fresh. If you’re in San Francisco, this place is a must-try. We’ll definitely be back!“

“The beef noodles soup is one of the best in the bay area with the broth so clear and most tasty of all beef soup. The hand made noodles tasted so fresh.
The soup dumpling was steamed to order so it took a bit long but came out deliciously.
Would like to come back and try the chive cake and cucumber salad.
Service was friendly.“

“California-style Cantonese cuisine! I really like the decoration style here, which always makes me feel better when dining here. The golden lotus chandelier and the gold and silver wire lamp are definitely the best decoration! 👍The pastries here are also worth mentioning! Pineapple buns, wife cakes, black sesame banana cakes with miso sugar!“

“the absolute best way to recover from 20k steps walking around SF. what a treaattt!
The beef lamb and fish one is the best one that we had. Fish mushroom and shrimp chive egg ones were also good. Pork ear salad really opens up the appetite before the dumplings.
Overall, super cool place especially to watch the dumplings get made!“

“Good portions and a clean interior. It was pretty empty around 5:30 but started filling up by 6:30. Hospitality could use some work. No one greeted us when we walked in, so we waited about 5 minutes to be seated despite it being fairly empty. Once the food arrived, we were seated in a corner and had trouble flagging down a server for the check. The staff should be more attentive and check in more regularly but food was good“

“TLDR: decent selection and good quality ingredients but soup wasn’t very rich in flavor
I had the pork bone soup and it tastes salty but didn’t have much pork bone flavor. The quality of the ingredients were decent including the Wagyu beef which came out cooked nicely. 2 of us got to around $40 after tax and tip which isn’t really that expensive at all“

“I think this is the best hot pot restaurant I've been to in California. Very clean and spacious with an attentive, thoughtful and kind owner/server. There are lots of options for the hotpot, all are available, and none are overpriced. One important detail for me and other people with allergies is that it's peanut-free, so I can even enjoy suspiciously peanutty things like sesame paste without worrying. I would definitely come back and take friends.“

“Benson and his wife are amazing and I'm happy to say that me and my family are regulars with them. We don't go there as often, but when we do, we always order from them. From time to time me and my father would have lunch there and chat with Benson and his wife. They're great folks and hard working. The restaurant is great, food is great, and the neighborhood that they're located in is great. Cozy and quiet, not too crazy, bustling but just enough to know that you can enjoy your food without rushing out the door.
Benson, or his wife, if you're reading this, you guys are great.“

“Great spot for all things dimpling, noodles, and cooked veggies! I came here for the first time on a trip 2 years ago and had to make a special trip back this time. My whole family loves it. We got a variety of noodles, dumplings and veggies. Our favorite things were the Dan Dan noodles and green beans. It’s located right next to Japan town in a cute shopping area. Will be back next time we’re in town!“

“Bring cash! Self-seating, so bring someone to save your spot or grab the bar seating against the wall. Order at the counter, your number gets called. Condiments are up front except Sriracha which is at every table.
Came on a Tuesday for a late lunch and it was still packed — clearly social media is driving a lot of tourists here for the rice rolls. Got the Rice Roll Express Roll out of curiosity but wished I'd gone with the Shrimp Feast instead. Not bad, just not my favorite. Also wasn't asked about my optional topping and ended up with cabbage by default, so speak up when ordering.
Would come back to try the Shrimp Feast.“

“We stumbled upon this place while exploring Chinatown as tourists, hoping to try some authentic Chinese food. The restaurant was packed, which gave us a good feeling, and it definitely did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The beef with broccoli was tender, the noodles were delicious, and every bite felt homemade. Great portions, friendly service, and an authentic atmosphere. One of our favorite meals in San Francisco. Highly recommend if you’re looking for real, delicious Chinese food!“

“Great place for home style Cantonese comfort food. Good quality and value. Portion sizes are generous. Service is quick and efficient. Sunday evenings are packed for family dinners. Mid week it was relaxed as locals came and went to grab their takeout or grab a quick dinner. Every dish was spot on. Check out the Crispy Skin Chicken or Curry Beef Stew.“

“I am very delightful to have found a Chinese cuisine nearby Marina neighbourhood! The atmosphere was very homey and staff were really warm and welcoming!
Food was so good! I especially love the sweet and sour fish. Quite crunchy on the outside but very tender and flavourful on the inside. My daughter who is not a fan of fish can't get enough of it!
The price of each meal was affordable and the food portion was generous. Also a lot of varieties you can choose from.
Already recommended to my friends and will definitely come back!“

“An egg noodle shop on Ellis Street in Little Saigon. The braised duck leg noodle soup is the bowl to order, the wontons deserve their following, and the homemade soybean drink is the right thing on the side. Ten to twenty dollars a head, and the taste does not drift between visits, which regulars notice. Thank you for the steady bowls. Five stars.“

“LetsSweet Kitchen is a Hong Kong chaan Teng restaurant in San Francisco South the market neighborhood, across the street from the Porsche dealer. We were in the area and decided to give them a try. Highly rated at 4.9 on Google, 4.7 on Yelp.
The place is clean, Service, friendly and food solid. Prices are higher than Chinatown, of course. Parking is a lot easier here. If you're in the neighborhood and want some Hong Kong style Chinese food, this is a good bet. If you're intimidated by Chinatown, this is a great place to go.
Food Picks:
Brad beef brisket rice with four piece wonton ($22.99) is a special during lunch and includes a drink. Ample quantity and good wontons and sold braised brisket flavor. The Hong Kong milk tea was strong and not too sweet. 8.5/10
Black pepper pork chop and onion over rice ($16.85) had reasonable quantity and was cooked just fine. The sauce was on the peppery side. 8.5/10.
Overall - Very Good
Food - Good
Decor - Very Good
Service - Very Good
Value - Good
Would we come back - Maybe“

“Delicious food, large portions, affordable price. Run by the sweetest lady who was so patient and helpful. I ordered at the restaurant and I didn’t have to wait long for my order to be ready. I can’t believe more people aren’t talking about this place! I will certainly be back for more, after I finish the week’s-worth of leftovers. Just a heads up, it’s takeout only but don’t let that deter you.
Edit: came back again because the food was so delicious and affordable the first time around. This time I got general Cho’s chicken, tofu with vegetables (similar flavoring to the cashew chicken but no cashews), and pork fried rice (heaped with lots of pork!) I also got the cream cheese wontons which were divine“

“I personally think this is the best Human restaurant in Bay Area. My husband being a Hunan native said this is the real authentic Hunan flavor. The portion is also pretty big for the price. “Nan hot pot is one of my favourite place for hotpot in SF area. The This place provides various kinds of meat and vegetables and some small dishes. “Really enjoyed the Mala spicy fish fillet mixian! The broth was the highlight deep, flavorful, and super comforting. The fish tasted fresh and tender, and the noodles soaked up the flavor really well. The restaurant felt clean and cozy, and the service was friendly. There was no long wait when we went. The prices are reasonable too. Definitely will come back!“

“Classic Chinatown spot that delivers solid, honest Chinese comfort food. We ordered several dishes — a spicy noodle broth loaded with bean sprouts, scallions and chili oil that had real depth; a wonton noodle soup with generously filled dumplings in a clean broth; a sautéed offal dish with red onion and chili that was bold and well-seasoned; and what appeared to be a hot & sour soup with good body. Everything came out hot and fresh. The menu is trilingual (Chinese/English/Vietnamese) with a wide variety at reasonable prices. Service is efficient in true Chinatown style — don't expect pampering, do expect the real deal. A reliable stop if you want to eat well without fuss in the heart of SF's Chinatown.“

“If you go to The Happy Crane for one thing, make it the Peking duck — it's the star of the meal, hands down. The lacquered skin arrives shattering-crisp and mahogany-dark, sliced into neat squares that crackle the second you bite in, with just enough rendered fat clinging underneath to keep it rich without being greasy. The meat itself is tender and well-seasoned on its own, so even the slices without much skin still hold their own.
What really elevates it is the spread that comes with it: paper-thin house-made wrappers, a rich hoisin-style sauce, and a beautiful spread of julienned scallion and cucumber alongside jewel-toned pickled plum wedges for a tart, palate-cleansing contrast. Building your own wraps at the table turns it into an interactive, genuinely fun course rather than just a plate of meat.
I'd actually met Chef James previously at a collaboration dinner at Nisei with Chef David Yoshimura, so I was curious to see his cooking in his own space — and this meal did not disappoint. His hand is precise and confident across the board.
We rounded out the meal with several other dishes, all well executed:
Beef shin & celery root — deeply savory, glazed and fragrant with herbs, comfort food elevated
Firecracker shrimp — whole prawns with a crackly, herb-flecked shell, a fun and messy start to the meal
Maine sea scallop dumpling — delicate steamed wrappers crowned with glistening ikura, elegant and briny
Crispy maitake cheung fun — silky rice noodle rolls with crisp mushroom and chili crunch, a great textural contrast
Chasiu iberico pork jowl — awesome. Tender, fatty, char-kissed pork under crisp apple and fennel, one of the standout bites of the night
Every dish showed real technique and thoughtful plating, and the staff matched that quality — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly throughout the meal, which made the whole evening feel even more special.
But it's the duck that will bring me back — it's easily some of the best I've had in the city, and worth the trip on its own.
Perfect for a special dinner or anytime you want to treat yourself to a proper duck course done right. Highly recommend requesting the duck in advance if they offer it, as it's clearly the kitchen's showcase dish.“

“How did I not find this place sooner?
It’s a tasty, visually pleasing, and active dining experience.
Our group came in for a foggy, cozy Sunday lunch before the church crowd. We ordered the tomato fish, sichuan beef, and original YunNan noodle bowls. We were delighted with the bridge of ingredients that you can personally add to your hot soup and noodles.
I loved my original YunNan bone broth flavor that tasted clean and flavorful. Service is quick and kind. Decor really emphasizes the YunNan culture and they have custom wooden benches. Check this place out if you’re on Balboa!“

“Very tasty - casual, order at a kiosk, bus your own tables, cute decor and plates/bowls. The chrysanthemum salad (delicious dressing & great fluffy texture), eggplant with tofu (so savory with the black bean sauce!), and the garlic tomato chow mein noodles were all great. Nice to have this excellent option in downtown Mill Valley. There’s a printed menu that has the vegan and vegetarian items marked, but the electronic kiosk does not! Ask for the laminated one-page menu to make your choices. Updated from previous review on 2026-07-26“
