The Happy Crane Reviews
If you go to The Happy Crane for one thing, make it the Peking duck — it's the star of the meal, hands down. The lacquered skin arrives shattering-crisp and mahogany-dark, sliced into neat squares that crackle the second you bite in, with just enough rendered fat clinging underneath to keep it rich without being greasy. The meat itself is tender and well-seasoned on its own, so even the slices without much skin still hold their own.

Four of us tried Happy Crane for the first time this evening. It exceeded expectations. The dishes we ordered: scallop dumpling, firecracker shrimp, skirt steak, crispy mushroom, pork jowl and black cod were all excellent. As was the mango sorbet. Had been wanting to try for awhile, did not disappoint. Beef Shin, Maitake Rolls and Pork Jowl were the tables favorites. Cocktails unique and delicious. Would def come back again when the menu changes (seasonally).

The Happy Crane serves Nouvelle Asian cuisine and elevated Chinese-Western fusion dishes. The restaurant offers a tasting menu with delicious and artistically presented courses, including desserts. The Peking duck is a notable dish, but it's large and best shared. The service is friendly, attentive, and professional. The Happy Crane cocktail is a gimlet style drink and is very tasty. With its unique dishes and excellent service, The Happy Crane is definitely worth checking out and has the potential to earn a Michelin star. The remodeled dining room now features a contemporary style, creating a trendy and inviting atmosphere perfect for date nights or group dinners. The menu includes a variety of creative dishes like firecracker shrimp, crab rice roll, and chasiu iberico pork jowl, which many find to be highlights of the meal. The restaurant also offers a tasting menu for $120 per person, with around five to seven courses, and reservations are recommended as tables can be tricky to secure. The wine and cocktails complement the dishes well, especially the unique Serpent's Kiss cocktail for mezcal and tequila lovers. Overall, The Happy Crane provides a high-level dining experience that combines decadence and heartiness, making it a great destination for those seeking innovative cuisine in a stylish setting.
