Loved the beef & lamb rolls, mushrooms, lotus root, and konjac for a lighter option. Their red oil wontons ($5.99) are freshly made and so tasty—can’t wait to try the dim sum they’re adding soon!“

Excellent food. They prefer cash, venmo, or other tap payment options.
We ordered the Chinese Beef Vegetables, General Chicken, BBQ Rice, Crispy Chicken Wings, and Beef Chow Mein.
A very nice local atmosphere. My sense was that they prefer pick up orders.
Card payments seemed to be the 3rd preffered payment option, after cash and venmo.
The food made up for any inconvenience.

“This restaurant is amazing. The owner is nice and friendly. I’ve been there one time about 2 months ago, and after that every time that i want to treat my friends, i would take them to the spicy house, the flavor is well adjusted, for me as a Chinese, it would remind me of my hometown and for my friends, the flavor is also acceptable and they all love the food from spicy house. If you want try Chinese food, i would recommend this place as your first choice!!! And also thanks for the warm and kind service from spicy house. “Love the food here! Best Chinese food you will ever get and for cheap too! Atmosphere could use a bit more work, decorated kinda plain and there's no music, just a TV we can't even hear. My biggest complaint is that they close at random times and often for long periods of time and I have no way of knowing unless I call in beforehand to know what time they close that day. If they don't pick up, they're closed.“

“I passed by here many times and never knew if it was open because the curtains block the interior view. Today I finally have this place a shot on a hungry mindset. It’s like a hole in the wall that serve authentic Chinese dishes at great prices. Also the service was great and the food was very delicious. I definitely will be back to try out other dishes.

“Ordered the sweet and sour pork, the pork was moist and tender. Also ordered pork pot stickers were they were very tasty too. The two lady's that greeted me were very sweet and friendly.
I was staying at the Hampton Inn, across the street. It was nice to find great food so close by.🥰“

“Very cozy and casual neighborhood dining. We found out about this place from a friend when we moved in the area almost more than 15 years ago and have been going here mostly for take out ever since. The prices are great and portions just right. The food is wonderful although there are rare days it might be off (maybe a different cook for that day). Parking is limited so order ahead for to-go unless you park at the Walgreens across the street. The owner is nice and is the one always taking orders.“

“Ordered for a last minute work lunch. They delivered to Brisbane (no delivery fee). The gentleman on the phone took my order before the restaurant was open and was extremely patient. Food arrived hot and everyone seemed to like it. Overall food was good quality (I mean it's Chinese take out so nothing magical), only thing was they forgot to label each box/container (after I asked) so I spent 15 minutes opening and labeling everything.“

“My partner and I are regulars here! My go-to is the combination rice noodle soup, and my partner gets the combination egg noodle soup. The portions are really generous and the noodles are always perfectly cooked. We also love the flour cake with egg. AND, their chili oil is superb. “I come here to eat here basically once a week because the service here is the best among all the branches I have eaten at. The only drawback is that the food portions are a little smaller than those in other branches.

“I have placed my order thru GrubHub at 9 :45 PM and got my order at around 10:45 as promised!!! Food came out hot & delicious !!!! I ordered Sweet Corn Chowder with Chicken which came hot & delicious !!!! Also ordered Asparagus with chicken, Sweet & Sour Pork, Special House Chow Mien & some white rice !!! I ended up only eating the soup & asparagus with chicken and rice !!! They both tasted great !!! Really exceeded my expectation!!!! I was too full to touch the rest cause it was already very late and I didn’t want to go to sleep too full !!! I will surely be back !!! I highly recommend this place !!!“

“A real hidden gem. As someone who has spent most of my life in Asia, I can confidently say the food here is incredibly authentic, fresh, and expertly prepared. I've been back twice already and brought different friends each time, every single one has been impressed. I daresay the food here is better than many restaurants in SF Chinatown!

Don't let the name fool you: they serve much more than just porridge (congee). That said, the porridge is so comforting and delicious it might just bring a tear to your eye. What to order: The sweet and sour pork, roast meats, claypot seafood tofu... are all outstanding and honestly rivals dishes I've had at restaurants mentioned in the Michelin Guides. They even serve complimentary Chinese tea, which is a lovely touch.

This isn't the place to come for a trendy atmosphere or over-the-top service. Come for the food, and you'll leave very happy.

“This is the best panda ever. Clean, great workers. I came in at 10:55 and they still cooked up my favorite which was amazing. They were already cleaning AND they still got it cooking. In a day and age of poor service and increasing selfishness Panda Express Westlake is a reminder that good companies and service still exist and is a testament to the culture they have.
