“Very unassuming spot in Daly City. Service was a pleasure and felt very nice to stop by. We ordered the tea leaf salad and pumpkin curry with coconut rice all which were very tasty! It may not pack a punch with flavors but still enjoyed the subtlety of the dishes.“
“I stumbled upon Spicy House while trying to get some last minute dinner. I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience! The food was very good and had generous portions. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. I would definitely come back!“
“On a rainy evening I was craving warm Chinese food. I decided to give this place a try and boy am I glad I did. I ordered the beef chow fun, beef with black fungus, hot and sour soup and Peking pork chops. The beef chow fun is perfect and not greasy like other places, the beef black fungus has far more veggies than your standard Chinese food place which is a huge plus. The Peking pork chop is cut up smaller than usual, and more sour than your standard fare, but still every bit as delicious! The only miss was the hot and sour soup: vegetarian, which is fine, but lacked depth. I had to add chicken stock powder, lime juice and Soy sauce to make it better, otherwise it was spicy, sour, but bland. This place hits the spot, and the prices are very fair. Cash only, but I paid with Venmo, and he also mentioned they accept zelle. I paid $60 total ($51.49 plus tip as I was a Togo) and I can see this meal feeding me and my boyfriend over the next two days ( I made rice at home, so these dishes will be at least 3 additional meals for us) so I consider this place a huge win. If you're nearby and want Chinese, this place should not be overlooked.Parking: There's a reserved spot right in front for to go only. Otherwise, parkings a little tight.“
“The food is pretty nice. There is no dimsum if you go in the afternoon though ? Soup is great and service was good. The environment is okay with fish swimming in the middle. They do automatically charge you 18% for service fee so don’t double tip! Also…for weird reason it seems like the fish in aquarium are dead ?“
“I frequently come here for their original bingsu. The fruit is diced into tiny cubes with fresh watermelon, cantaloupe/winter melon, and mango. One order can feed one to two people, but I always order one for myself. In another visit, I tried their food, ordering the pork chop over rice. The portion is decent, and came with a boba tea drink. The pork chops was sorta bland, but I enjoyed them regardless. It's not something I'd return for. The bingsu, however, I will definitely return for, as I have several times now. I'm still willing to order other food items next time, but it's their dessert menu that's the real attraction for me.“
“It's all you can eat. All fresh items are in the refrigerator, and you go and grab what you'd like. There isn't much waitress help because you grab your own things to cook. She just came and took our order for the soup choice and brought our sodas. It's clean, and even as we seen people leave, she sprayed and disinfected the table and area.“
“I went in around 11:45am on a Sunday to make an order and they looked super busy filling out catering/party tray orders. The guy at the front warned me it’ll take at least 1hr which was OK for me since I had errands. He wrote down my number and called me when my order was being processed. This is my new favorite spot for take out Chinese food. The portions are immense given the price you’re paying; $44 got me a heaping tub of spicy eggplant, crunchy orange chicken, veggie chow fun with emphasis on the veggie, and a braised mushroom & bokchoy dish.Reminder - this is a CASH ONLY spot.“
“Omg the food was so good! it is so hard to find really good delivered tempura but I finally have! Not only is there food amazing but their customer service is equally amazing, very friendly and accommodating!! I'm almost always disappointed and food I get delivered for one reason or another like temp, flavor, missed items etc but not here all 10 stars across the board for every item!! we had the Chicken Teriyaki Lunch Bento and Salmon Teriyaki Lunch Bento with California rolls and Tempura Appetizer. If I could give them all 10 stars I absolutely would and 15 for customer service!!“
“This is one of the best places to get salt and pepper chicken wings or salt and pepper pork chop in the bay area. They were closed for some time (6 months- year) but they're now back open which is great bc it was one of our goto weekday/weekend rotational restaurants. We usually also get the combination fried rice and other typical dishes and it's always been togo. Highly recommend! I added the menu in my photos since they don't have one online.“
“The 6 dim sum dishes that we ordered were good except for the baked BBQ buns as the picture on the order form showed they were supposed to be the traditional baked BBQ pork buns but somehow when they came there was a pineapple crust on top of them. We asked the waiter who explained that they just started putting the pineapple crust onto the BBQ pork buns, which in our opinion made them too sweet and ruined how the baked BBQ pork buns should taste like. The service was very good as everyone including the waiters, waitresses, and dim sum servers were very pleasant and polite.“
“a mission st staple! have been going here since i was a kid and i love the consistency in quality. Prices have gone up with inflation but still probably one of the cheapest meals you can find in the area at this quality. I love getting the ticino or the hk style fried pork shop. Service is usually fast and “
