“A real hidden gem. As someone who has spent most of my life in Asia, I can confidently say the food here is incredibly authentic, fresh, and expertly prepared. I've been back twice already and brought different friends each time, every single one has been impressed. I daresay the food here is better than many restaurants in SF Chinatown!

Don't let the name fool you: they serve much more than just porridge (congee). That said, the porridge is so comforting and delicious it might just bring a tear to your eye. What to order: The sweet and sour pork, roast meats, claypot seafood tofu... are all outstanding and honestly rivals dishes I've had at restaurants mentioned in the Michelin Guides. They even serve complimentary Chinese tea, which is a lovely touch.

This isn't the place to come for a trendy atmosphere or over-the-top service. Come for the food, and you'll leave very happy.

“We ended up here after being reeled in on the street by Gloria “the hustler”—and honestly, we are glad we said yes! The trek up a long flight of stairs leads to a rickety patio that feels exactly like an apartment fire escape overlooking an alley.Skip the alcoholic drinks (thankfully they were weak, given the stairs!), but absolutely stay for the food. The dishes completely make up for the sketchy atmosphere. The calamari was the absolute standout, and they even treated us to free green tea ice cream. Our waiter was fantastic, and leaving with a parting bag of goodies was a lovely, unexpected touch.“

“We had such an outstanding meal - a lot of that was thanks to the great recommendations by our server. The vibe of the restaurant was very cute. My husband and I shared the Mongolian beef, popcorn chicken, shishito peppers, cabbage, green beans, and clay pot rice. It was all excellent and so flavourful. “Good portions and a clean interior. It was pretty empty around 5:30 but started filling up by 6:30. Hospitality could use some work. No one greeted us when we walked in, so we waited about 5 minutes to be seated despite it being fairly empty. Once the food arrived, we were seated in a corner and had trouble flagging down a server for the check. The staff should be more attentive and check in more regularly but food was good“

Was just walking by and decided to give this place a shot. soo worth it.

Seriously, this is the best wonton noodle soup i have had outside of hong kong.

Even the hot sauce was incredibly traditional, fiery enough to demand your respect, and ready to punish you if not taken seriously. The soup was fragrant, you could taste the freshness of the stock. the dumplings were fresh with firm prawsn in them.
the beef was cooked tender with just enough bite to make things exciting. the noodles were incredibly firm to the bite. omg i want to go back.

“Great little Chinese restaurant. I had the Chicken with Dried Mushrooms Clay Pot Rice and a Pomelo Honey Tea. The clay pot rice tasted authentic, with a nice crispy layer of rice at the bottom without being overcooked. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The tea was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. Friendly staff and a clean restaurant. Would definitely come back!“

“In a recent visit to Chinatown, I was hoping to find an epic meal. There are so many options that it's hard to pick one. Using Google reviews I found this one and rolled the dice.

Every dish they brought out was exceptional. It's a small place so it took a minute, but well worth it the short wait. The server was awesome.

The wonton soup stole the show although the chicken wings were unbelievable. Spring rolls...wow. Plum sauce was house made and after the rolls were gone, we starting dipping the wings in it.

“My family comes here or does take out once every month or so. Favorites are the char siu and duck which just hits the spot. Service is truly exceptional from being greeted at the door to attentive table service throughout. They are so welcoming to my child and that level of attention and care (consistently) is just so rare these days. Just a wonderful place all around.“

“Street parking can be hard but we were lucky to find one not too far away.

It was busy on a Saturday evening with what seems like a lot of regulars. We were a party of 5 and they sat us at a table for 4 and added a chair on the end. Once we ordered, they moved us to a big table. We ordered way too much for 5 people. Ending up taking a lot home.

Everything was very good. Except the veggie was a little too tough/mature. And the mixed mushroom with egg tofu was not mixed mushroom but only one type of mushroom. The egg tofu was very good with the broccoli.

The bbq pork with chicken appetizer was good too. The bbq pork was so juicy and flavorful.

“Fantastic, quick spot to pick up authentic, fresh dim sum, dumplings, and more! You get great-quality food at a crazy inexpensive price, making this an easy place to recommend when you’re looking for something delicious without spending a lot.

Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful, and the selection makes it easy to grab a variety of items to share. It’s also perfect for a quick meal when you’re exploring Chinatown and don’t want to spend a lot of time waiting around.

I especially love that Delicious Dim Sum is located near Willie “Woo Woo” Wong Playground. It makes for the perfect family outing—grab some dim sum to go, enjoy a quick bite, and then head over to the park to let the kids play and hang out. Such a convenient and affordable combination!

“Really wanted to gatekeep this one but it’s too good not to write a review. Everything about it was exactly what I was looking for. Barely any english, only canto, stern auntie serving you up, cash only, and hefty portions. Got the roasted pork for just $10 and it came with a ton of rice and some cooked cabbage. Pork was so tender and flavorful while the skin added the perfect crunch and fattiness. Cheers to my go to Chinatown.“

“All over social media, people are saying this place has THE BEST roast duck in the country! So I had to check it out for myself.... I got half a duck and this was plenty for my boyfriend and I to share.If I'm being picky, the duck was on the salty side. However, it's very flavorful and savory. Not very sweet like other places. The duck pieces didn't have a ton of meat on them, but the pieces that had more meat were pretty juicy.Overall, not the best duck I've had - but definitely good quality! I'd recommend it to those visiting SF Chinatown.“

“I think this is one of the best Chinese BBQ spots in Chinatown. The char siu tastes just like the kind I had in Guangdong, it has that classic Cantonese BBQ flavor. The portions are also very generous, especially the amount of meat they give you.“

“A popular local spot in Chinatown. This place is always packed, you will have to share tables with other people, and almost everyone here speak Chinese, so I think this place is authentic enough. The menu is very very affordable, each noodle soup item costs less than $10, and the most expensive shareable side order only costs $20. This is a steal in San Francisco.
We tried almost every signature dish, like beef brisket, curry fish balls, wonton and steamed pork & liver. Food portion were huge, you have to come here hungry.
My most favorite? Probably wonton and beef brisket. I think it's best to order wonton noodle soup (to get the light & sweet broth) and brisket dry noodles, because beef brisket itself is a bit fat and greasy, so you need something light to pair with it.
Overall, 9/10. Just remember to bring some cash with you when dining here.“

I actually think this is my favorite Chinese restaurant in SF thus far. The seafood is live and fresh.

“Every person needs and craves connection everyday. Someone to talk about your favorite show with. Someone to notice your new favorite sweater you put on. At Do Eat, my friends and I walked in expecting to fill our stomachs. Little did we know that our hearts would be filled too. Though some of the staff spoke little English, their smiles and service broke through the language barrier. Our group of 5 was quickly and comfortably accommodated. The food was delicious and the portions so generous as to allow leftovers. The taste of the food is now a only memory, and soon all remnants will be gone from our stomachs. What will not leave is the everlasting connection we made with the beautiful people of Do Eat. Thank you.“

“The food quality is much, much higher quality than China town. It's cleaner. The bbq pork bun actually has meat. The shumai and hargow has more meats and are less greasy. Worth a quick trip to the area for a meal, even if you're on the other side of the city.“

“A relax old school dim sum place to enjoy sumptuous good dim sum. A favourite place for the senior regular. They even helped themself to refill the tea. A friendly place if u are familiar with old sch dim sum culture.
Food was big in portion and best of all, they don't charge tax which is very very rare in US.
Service was good by the old lady even though they are busy.
This will be my regular dim sum store whenever I visit San Francisco.“
