Ninety five percent of the diners in this crowded restaurant during lunchtime, was Chinese. This of course is s good sign. The food is very authentic, and today I enjoyed the roast duck, and roasted pork, which hang in one of the restaurant's windows. The diner next to me ordered the eggplant w/ chicken and pork, which I will order next time. Parking was a bit tight, but available. They only accept cash.
Porridge King is a casual restaurant that serves delicious Cantonese cuisine, especially porridge. I visited this place on a chilly evening and ordered the pork and preserved egg congee, the pea sprouts garlic , and the salted pork chop. The porridge was warm and comforting, with a smooth texture and a savory flavor. The pork was tender and the preserved egg added a nice contrast. A wonderful alternative to delicious Chinese dishes that will fulfill any meal of the day.Walked in for a 7pm dinner. The place was 70% packed on a midweek. This was a stress free way to wind down the evening, with a nice hot and satisfying meal.Cannot complain about the free parking.
