Beware. They automatically add 18% service charge in your bill .The dishonest waitress did not tell me when I left another 18% service charge in cash.Beware.

Lacking customer service on a Saturday afternoon. We spend a lot of effort flagging down our waitress. The food is mediocre. The prices seems expensive for Chinese food. I do not plan to return here again.

A wonderful alternative to delicious Chinese dishes that will fulfill any meal of the day.Walked in for a 7pm dinner. The place was 70% packed on a midweek. This was a stress free way to wind down the evening, with a nice hot and satisfying meal.Cannot complain about the free parking.

Ninety five percent of the diners in this crowded restaurant during lunchtime, was Chinese. This of course is s good sign. The food is very authentic, and today I enjoyed the roast duck, and roasted pork, which hang in one of the restaurant's windows. The diner next to me ordered the eggplant w/ chicken and pork, which I will order next time. Parking was a bit tight, but available. They only accept cash.

Porridge King is a casual restaurant that serves delicious Cantonese cuisine, especially porridge. I visited this place on a chilly evening and ordered the pork and preserved egg congee, the pea sprouts garlic , and the salted pork chop. The porridge was warm and comforting, with a smooth texture and a savory flavor. The pork was tender and the preserved egg added a nice contrast. The salted pork rib was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with a lot of fried garlic. The pea sprout garlic was great with a spicy dipping sauce on the table. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and spacious. I enjoyed my meal at Porridge King and would recommend it to anyone who loves porridge or Cantonese food.I hope you like it! ?

In comparison to other Chinese restaurants, this place it a couple dollars more per item. Nothing to write home about. A “15% service fee” is automatically added to your bill for dine in, and a little bit of attitude if you don’t add a couple more dollars to it when you get your change.

We had burgers for the last few meals and got sick of it. So, when we arrived SFO, we were looking for Chinese food. I went to Google nearby and read good reviews about this eating place. All of us were pleasantly surprised that the dishes were better than we had expected, the fried Mee Hoon stood up with 2 Thumbs up. We returned to this place consecutively two days. Twice we failed to order the Garlic Chicken, always sold out when we arrived there at 8pm. I could have given a more than 4 stars if the waiter could be more patient.

We walked in 8:30pm for only one porridge & vegetable. They said cash only because they were closing which is fine!By the time we checked out it was only 8:55pm. The lady took the cash for the food and came back again saying they didn’t receive the tips. So I quickly looked into my wallet and noticed I only have $3 cash left. I told the lady I don’t have much cash left, could’ve tipped them more with credit card. She got upset and took the $3 then walked away…extremely rude. What’s even more rude is, she came back right away trying to clean our table with our food still on the table. I guess she tried to tell us to leave. Not only the service was bad but also the food was disappointing. Porridge was tasteless.

They are known for porridge and bbq items. Been here plenty of times, food is alright but will fulfill you. The only thing on the downside is cash only.
