Every time we plan to go to San Francisco for a trip, my dad gets so excited about having a meal at this place because of some really good Chinese food in San Francisco. This is my dad’s cherry on top place in the city.
It had been a while since I ate at House of Nanking. I just left in disappointment with my meal, and the service. The pork wontons in chili oil were undercooked, and barely lukewarm, although the flavor was good. My entree was the crispy honey beef short rib with bok choy. The beef was delicious, but the bok choy was refrigerator cold. I pointed this out to a server, and he apologized for not telling me that it’s served cold, and that I can request it hot next time.
