“The moment you bite into any dish here, you KNOW it's fresh. What I loved the most was that each dumpling had sooo much meat in it and lots of flavor! They even have an open kitchen layout so you can watch them make the dumplings! If dumplings aren't your thing, definitely try their House Special Beef Noodle Soup and be sure to get the Marinated Beef appetizer. The garlic sauce it comes with is so good.

“Yan gon is a family own Burmese restaurant on broadway Burlingame. The owner and the entire staff were extremely friendly , attentive , courteous . helpful, and welcoming . Their dishes are delicious . I have tried their Burmese Style Curry Lamb , Singapore Street noodles, Deep fried Chicken Wings , and Wor Wonton Soup. All four dishes were delicious, but my favorite is the won ton soup . This soup is perfect , it's so healthy and brothy. The broth is so rich that left a long lasting mouthwatering and coating sensation lingering in my tongue. The wontons are so tasty , juicy , and flavorful with the right amount of , I believe was pork , ginger , garlic ,chopped onions , sugar, salt , pepper , and shrimps . . The shrimps were very tastey and fresh . It didn't have that strange scent of ammonia or fishy smell like spoiled shrimps . The restaurant is simple , bright , clean , casual ambience with ample seatings. I have been here many times and got seated right away. No wait . This restaurant is a must try if you have the craving for Burmese food or just want to try something new.“

“The photos look legit. Rating was high and I'm in the mood for some ABC style chow mein (the thick round noodle).

The chicken chow mein was not bad. Tons of wok air. I liked the fact that it has lots of vegetables. Decent size noodle. Only thing is, it's a bit too salty and has a little bit of bitter after taste. 澀味. I suspect it's the soy sauce? Could be the salt. Or overcooked soy sauce. Otherwise, it's pretty good.“

“Cozy, family-owned Chinese restaurant located in old downtown Burlingame. The Mongolian beef and general chicken were both well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. Friendly and efficient service. Not a lot of street parking spots, but there are several parking lots within a 5-minute walk.“

It was all awesome & I have plenty for my lunch tomorrow. The parking is a bit tough, but it is on downtown Burlingame. But there are parking lots around with signs directing you.“

“Came and found parking around the block. Put our names on the Yelp waitlist and seated in about 15 minutes. Despite how busy it was, the tables did not feel crowded. After scanning the QR code and placing the order, food came out pretty quickly and stayed warm ish on the metal plate in the center of the table powered by 5 tea lights. The stinky tofu came out first and luckily the smell did not linger. We were surprised at how affordable it was. The food did end up over lapping but the flavor profile is more or less the same.“

I ordered 6 dishes total and it was only a little over $100 subtotal, wow, can't get this amount of food anywhere else in the bay area!! “Very unusual and delicious dumplings. I don’t live in the bay so I was strangely close to the two tables on either side. The service was OK, but they seemed to lose track of us for a short time.

Loved the beef & lamb rolls, mushrooms, lotus root, and konjac for a lighter option. Their red oil wontons ($5.99) are freshly made and so tasty—can’t wait to try the dim sum they’re adding soon!“

It was worth the drive and we will definitely be back again. Each dish is unique and they also have gluten free options as well as requested options. (My f5 year old is Gluten free).The bamboo and mushroom dish had a hint of sweetness with an undertone of spice, the Chong qing 🌶spicy chicken was mouth watering, along with the eggplant 🍆 dish, dry stir fried fish, and glass noodles with pork! I enjoyed every dish and my kids enjoyed their shrimp fried rice dish and greens as well. Our family is a foodie family and we love ❤️ traveling far and near to try dishes from around the world. “Love the food here! Best Chinese food you will ever get and for cheap too! Atmosphere could use a bit more work, decorated kinda plain and there's no music, just a TV we can't even hear. My biggest complaint is that they close at random times and often for long periods of time and I have no way of knowing unless I call in beforehand to know what time they close that day. If they don't pick up, they're closed.“

This was more than enough food for us and in fact she liked it so much she agrees to eat the leftovers with me(this was enough food for 3-4 people).friendly staff and delicious food! “Ok it won’t look like much from the outside on ECR and from the rear you park in the alleyway lot and walk past the restrooms and the kitchen but… this place is the bomb. And the chefs are top notch. I feel bad not having good photos except for one dish which came on mini wok with a burner and a dipping sauce. That’s a special lamb dish with vegetables mushrooms and goji berries. They made some unique and delicious food. The staff knows the menu very well and can recommend and they have chef specials on the back of the menu. One set for Chinese and one set for American palette. Both are good and you can’t go wrong. On the wall they post their specials also. For a IYKYK tip - if you bring in your catch they can make it the way you want and charge you “cook-your-catch” fees.“

“Today was my first time trying Chef Wang’s and the food was amazing! My mom usually prefers halal options, so she ordered shrimp fried rice, shrimp chow mein, and sesame shrimp. Recently one of her patients brought food from here to her office, and she loved it so much that she asked where it was from so that’s how we discovered this place.

When we called to place our takeout order, the man on the phone was incredibly kind. The prices were very reasonable, and when I went to pick up the order the woman working there was so sweet. She even added egg rolls on the house, which was such a thoughtful surprise.

The restaurant looked very clean and the tables were set up nicely. It was a little quiet when I went in, which made me a bit sad because it seems like it’s run by a small family. It’s slightly tucked away on the street, but their food truly deserves more attention.

Everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. I’m very picky when it comes to Chinese food, but every dish was delicious. I especially appreciate that they use shrimp instead of giant prawns, shrimp has so much more flavor and better texture in my opinion.

“I passed by here many times and never knew if it was open because the curtains block the interior view. Today I finally have this place a shot on a hungry mindset.
