Hot Wok Bistro Reviews
They're serving up some extremely solid & completely delicious Lunch Specials at this homey Chinese Bistro in No. San Mateo. They kick things with a superb Hot & Sour Soup that's chock of mushrooms, tofu, bamboo shoots, etc. I had their Mongolian Beef w/ fried rice; a gigantic platter of extremely delicious and tender beef in a knock-out sauce with plenty of onions & scallions. Service is outstanding; welcoming, efficient and super friendly. This place is a keeper !! Bravo...read full review
Delicious chow mein, orange chicken and broccoli and beef.
We've been searching for a restaurant that compares to a favorite of ours that closed some years back. This restaurant definitely deserves 5 stars and over exceeded our expectations.

Hot Wok Bistro is a Chinese restaurant located between San Mateo and Burlingame, known for its delicious food and friendly service. The menu features popular dishes such as honey walnut prawns, pork chow mein, and mandolin beef. The lunch special is a great value, and the restaurant is willing to accommodate special requests. With a spacious interior and outdoor seating, it's a great option for those looking for a tasty and affordable Chinese meal. The rice was perfectly cooked, the dishes had large portions, and the pot stickers were cooked to perfection. The service was great, fast and easy, with friendly waiters always making you smile. The dining room is cozy, the tables are spacious enough for family-style dining. There are plenty of vegetarian items available, including the crispy tofu, which is delicious. The walnut shrimp were perfectly fried, not greasy and light, and the hot & sour soup and beef & broccoli also came out quickly and hot. Customers praise the restaurant for its tasty, well-made food and friendly, attentive staff. Many consider it a family-run restaurant with unbelievable pot stickers and an overall wonderful dining experience. Some guests have ordered via DoorDash and found the service quick and the food satisfying, even if slightly salty. Overall, Hot Wok Bistro remains a favorite spot for those seeking affordable Chinese food with generous portions and friendly service.
