“Food mostly pretty good. Chicken burrito very good. Chicken taco and carnitas taco had pretty dry meat. Chips and salsa good, if small. Less than enthusiastic counter staff.”

“This review is two weeks late but you know life be lifeing at the moment. Ambience top notch you can’t get any cuter than this place. They also have outdoor seating in the courtyard which is darling. Food was chef kiss from the appetizers to the main course. The date appetizer OMG. Cocktails were good wine selection decent. Service was top notch our server Sebastian made sure we were taken care of from the time we arrived to when we left. There were 10 of us so we kept him busy 😊. We had a few desserts which we all shared and they were all good. All in all it was a stellar of a night and everyone there made us feel so welcome. Really great night spent with friends and good food.”

We had a wonderful Father’s Day dinner here, and everything exceeded our expectations. The waitstaff and the friendly girls at the door who seated us were all fantastic—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Everyone took the time to explain the specials and answer questions, which made the experience feel personal and special. 
The portions were generous and the food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. As a nice touch, they even took a Polaroid picture of us with their own camera to commemorate the occasion—what a thoughtful gesture!
This was a great dinner overall, and we’ll definitely be back. Perfect spot for a memorable meal with family. Thank you to the whole team!”

“This guy is an Italian genius when it comes to food! The combinations of flavors he comes up with would rival any great Italian chef. I met him while selling at a local farmers market a while ago-during or right after the pandemic. Restaurants were closed and he needed a way to support himself and to carry on his love of cooking and, thankfully, he came up with this business plan. Check out his website and i promise you will not be disappointed! Absolutely delicious and freshly made options available!”

“The food was absolutely delicious, and I genuinely enjoyed every bite. Everything was flavorful and well prepared, and I had a great dining experience overall.

That said, I found the price to be very high compared to the portion and what you actually get. The food was definitely good, but at this price point, I’m not sure the value is there for me.

“What a gem! We were leaving the city after a great Portola and wanted to find a diner... We got lucky here!! Fred's Place is perfect- healthy portions (but not overwhelming) delicious food, excellent and attentive service, and we sat outside, and didn't feel forgotten once. We will certainly be back, and I can't recommend Fred's place enough!!”

“Popped in on July 4 and we’re so lucky this place was open! Owner was super friendly and let me try a few flavors before I landed on the flavors mint and dark chocolate and sea salt (sorbet).

My partner got the blueberry cheesecake - also delicious. Flavors change every month so we’ll definitely be back
