“Those ribs on Wednesday evening are outstanding. I brought some home and actually had them again for breakfast. Marche is a lovely restaurant with great staff and really excellent food...really love those ribs!!”
“Adorable place very friendly servers a bit expensive for the full tea service but worth it for special occasions. You can also order a sandwich or something smaller. The scones are delicious.”
“I took my girlfriend out for Valentine's day and was very happy to get reservations the day before, Neither of us had been there before and it got great reviews. The restaurant was very nice, and exactly what I wanted for our special night and the atmosphere, service and quality of food lived up to the reviews. It was quaint, quiet, seating perhaps 25 guests. Service was great , food was delicious, and we had a very nice dinner and I would recommend them wholeheartedlyThe only things I can say that were negative were the parking. Ross has parking spaces in a very limited supply in that area which is not the restaurants fault. The other was the cost, the reviews on line gave $$$ out of 5. I did not want the price of our meal to put a damper on our evening, so I was not caught unprepared when the bill came. I have no problem spending money taking my girlfriend out, , but in this case the cost would make me think twice before returning again. Let me explain - We were having a romantic dinner we shared a salad, and after dinner a wonderful dessert with coffees. She had a glass of wine , I had a beer, with our dinners ,all said and done with tax and tip was 150. Like I said everything was great , just a bit pricey for Italian food for 2 people. Keeping in mind the cost of living has gone up the last 3 years , and we are in Marin, plus being Valentine's Day all played a part in the overall cost. I am glad to see places to dine out are still out there trying to make it after COVID shut so many down .Go try the place out ,eat, drink and make merriment. Decide for yourself if the bang is worth the bucks you spend.Parking: Evening after 530 pm parking is not as bad.”
“Apparently this shop opened in September, but if you didn't know that, it would be easy to think that it was a pandemic-inspired business. I've been wondering lately how I could take my little girls out for a treat sometime without taking them inside a shop. Then I learned about the Village Corner. It's a tiny little corner of a shop and currently functions as a to-go window. The door is roped off and the owner takes your order from the other side of the rope and hands it to you. And with Ross Common right there, it's easy to find somewhere to hang out to eat your snack. I think they have a variety of snack items, but there big seller is probably the Lappert's ice cream. We got ice cream cones and the owner was flawless in her contact-free presentation. She scooped the cones without touching ice cream or cones and then placed them in a cone holder so that there was no chance of contact between her and the customer.”
“I've enjoyed a few meals here and last time sat at the bar. Bartenders were both great and helpful. Try the mushrooms if they are on the menu, they are ridiculously good!”
“I could go on and on about this spot. It was fantastic. All around wonderful except there is only 1 bathroom and when it's busy...well don't wait til the last minute to pee or there may be a line??♀️ cannot wait to go back!!!Vegetarian options: Everything we ordered was very well balanced. Proportions we're good for 2 to share depending on how hungry you are I guess, we shared 4 dishes and we're stoked with everything”
“Atmosphere: Solid and funBar Service: Kind, interesting, professionalsDrinks: Costly (but craft cocktails can be, so expected), my drink was cloyingly sweet, my friend's drink was more of a savory thing, and one of the rum drinks was great.UPDATE:Within 1 hour the owner of the bar contacted me about the experience with the drink I had ordered. He offered an apology, which I appreciated but was unnecessary, as I should have been better about saying something during my visit, rather than in a public review. This was customer service at its best, and that I appreciate. Upon reflection my drink may have just been a bartender error, and everybody has an off day.As the atmosphere and employees are amazing, and the vibe a solid 100, and now management reacting in a meaningful way to a petty complaint, I am boosting to 5 stars across the board.Go see for yourself what caring about your customers, and their experience is all about. Cheers!”
“Best ice cream in Marin!Parking: It is usually hard to get spots. Sometimes you might need to wait or walk a bitKid-friendliness: Kids size scoop for younger ones!”
“Good food but pricey and small portions. One of those places you go and then need to stop at in and out after. I've had larger servings of nigiri at other sushi ”
“I crave the gnocchi here and I don't even like gnocchi. My kids were mad when they had their fries and said now all other fries are ruined for them. Their Crudo is proportion is tiny but delicious. Had the most Marin kind of pizza - the kale with roasted garlic and it was delish. I could go on...but I need a nap now...”
“We've been going to Madcap for the past several years but realized we hadn't been since the pandemic and decided to celebrate an anniversary there recently. Although the prices are much higher than when we first had their prix fixe menu, the quality was pretty much the same, if not better. There were a few dishes that were absolute standouts in my mind - perfectly balanced flavor combinations, beautiful plating... the kind of dishes you wouldn't mind having seconds (or thirds) of :) 1. Dry-aged Flannery ribeye - beautiful crust, but still perfectly medium rare - I could go back tomorrow just to have this again. 2. Ora king salmon - when I saw it came with a red wine reduction, I was a bit skeptical of whether the delicate salmon could stand up to the red wine sauce, but I was so wrong about this. Perfectly executed, the salmon had the lightest, crispiest crust, while still being warm in the center and super delicate. 3. Stonington sea scallop - I'm a sucker for sea scallops and this was a delicious prep. The scallop had a beautiful crust, but since they were on the smaller side, I'd say they were a tad bit overcooked based on my own personal preference. Overall, the composition of flavors in this dish was spectacular and would've topped my list of the dishes had the scallop been a bit more tender. 4. Chicken tortelloni - rich creamy sauce, black truffles, and morels - what's not to like? If you're drinking red Burgundy for dinner, this dish is absolutely made for Pinot (IMO). While all of the dishes were good, some felt less polished or we just weren't as big of a fan of the flavor combinations/textures. Among them were the shrimp hasami (mine wasn't particularly crispy and with a rich satay sauce, it just felt like it needed some sort of acid component to cut through it all) and sadly the abalone/kaluga caviar supplement ($35) - impressive ingredients on their own, but combined in a way that, while perhaps visually appealing, was somewhat difficult to eat and I didn't find that the flavors were as cohesive as other dishes. That being said, what I like about Madcap is that they continue to innovate and experiment. Some of those dishes may not be my personal favorites, but others may love them, and it's great to know that no matter how often I come back, I'll always experience something new. The service is exceptional, but without being too stuffy and formal. Whether you're dining alone, as a couple, or as a group of friends, you can relax, enjoy the delicious food, and have a great time without feeling like you need to sit up straight and whisper to each other :) Lastly, they have a phenomenal wine list, especially bottles from Burgundy. The prices are reasonable (I looked a several bottles and they were about 75-100% above retail, e.g., $50 retail bottle might sell for $100 on their list), especially for a Michelin-starred restaurant. They also offer a beverage pairing ($100), which was mostly wine but also included some sake. The corkage fee is $50 (quite steep, IMHO) per 750ml bottle with a limit of two bottles per table.”
“A family favorite since the week it opened. Everyone finds just what they want regardless if dietary restrictions. Love the vibe whether dining in or carrying out.Kid-friendliness: Families enjoy the casual setting.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to enter.”
“This is a beautiful place to celebrate a birthday! The service was outstanding! Wonderful thoughtfully prepared and well seasoned options. Loved the smoky garbanzos on the Meze platter!”
“As the Senior Marketing Director of Oakmont of Novato I know outstanding quality and service when I see it! We were incredibly impressed with the desert table presentation for our charitable event! Thank you!”
“Well, I discovered this small place in the heart of San Rafael and pffff I fell in love with the cuisine that led me to remember my mother's food in my beautiful Mexico. I'm sure I'll come back to try more of the menu but today I tried some carnitas and asada picaditas and their super tasty horchata water, I fell in love with this little place”
“Marcelo was an amazing server and staff, as well as all the other staffs that brought out meat, refilled our drinks, and clear our table. We were here to celebrate our anniversary and wouldn't have done it at a better spot than this. The meat had a great selection to choose from.”
“Haven't had to wait to be seated yet busy place. I ate breakfast here and had eggs Benedict and a cinnamon roll pancake. Both were great. Polite service and attentive.”
“Absolutely the best fried calamari in Marin! The prices are a bit high for entrees as they don't include any veggies with them and to have a more balanced meal you are forced to order them separately.”
“Went on a Monday at 5:30. Walked right in. Such a cute restaurant! We got a white bottle of wine, should have been put on ice but we asked and they did. Server was polite and food was, how would I say, delicate. Clam chowder was amazing, the crab and shrimp cakes were good as well with the sauce. I got the scallops, they were good but not a ton of flavor, but it was tasty and what I expected, upscale and cooked well, flavored mixed well. Beautiful spot, I think there was a front area I didn't get to see but saw people going back there that maybe had a better view. Beautiful little place, great date restaurant.”
“Amazingly beautiful cupcakes! Would recommend them for any occasion. Unbelievable compliments from recipient. Apparently even more beautiful than pictured. Marin is lucky to have them - wish they would open a branch in Los Angeles!”
“Quite literally my favorite restaurant in Marin. Not pretentious and amazing service. Mei is the best!!!Ideal for Friday night takeout.Wheelchair accessibility: Just amazing and loving service!”
“My family and I visited the Bump Bar this week for a private experience. What we had was incredible. Deborah, John, and Ellen were amazing hosts. They gave us an education, and presented us with some incredible memories that I won't forget. Thank you so much for a beautiful Tuesday afternoon.”
“Blankita is so kind and welcoming! Best pupusas I have had! No other place in Bay Area has compared to quality here! I’m vegetarian but selection of food for me did not disappoint!”
“This place is truly a diamond that doesn't get enough attention! We have been coming to World Green Acai since they have opened 4 years ago. Authentic Acai is hard to find and World Green does not disappoint! This is not a fast food restaurant. The care and effort to make high quality authentic Brazilian food is the ethos of the owners. Have patience and you will be rewarded with a delicious unique and authentic Brazilian food experience. It's true that folks travel from all over the Bay Area just to experience the food and environment of World Green Acai.”
“Huge shoutout to Tony for the A1 hospitality. My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place while celebrating our anniversary and we hope to be back soon. Great selection of wines and beer on tap with lots of bottled options as well. Real cozy vibe at Internos and top notch service!”
“Wow. My new favorite restaurant. I moved to the area three years ago, and how have I been sleeping on this place? They have everything dialed in: great service, fun atmosphere, and the most crave-able cuisine. Two weeks later, I'm still thinking about my chicken parmesan with the sneaky kick, and my boyfriend's tender, perfectly seasoned filet. They do the classics, but find ways to surprise you. Whatever you do, do not skip dessert. The coconut citrus pie, I want to say, is something between a key lime pie and Basque cheesecake, and it is one of the best desserts that I have ever tasted. Also, this might not be the first place you'd think to go for a perfect margarita, but the bartender can make you one. Shout out to our waiter, Brian, who was attentive, funny, and made us feel right at home.Parking: The hour that we went, the parking lot right across the street was free.”
“We worked with Alison to design our perfect wedding cake, and we were blown away with the results. She offered a take-home tasting box which worked great fir my wife and I's busy schedules. There was great collaboration in the design and the cake was delivered directly to our reception venue right on time! Highly recommend for wedding or any other cakes!”
“I love Creekside. The gluten free and vegan options are so amazing! I loved the food. I would say that the vibe on a Friday is loud and fun but get food to go if you’re hard of hearing or down for something mellow or quiet.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free pizza!”
“One of San Francisco’s finest vistas can be experienced at this place. Indulge in exquisite cuisine, with a particular highlight being the delectable oysters. It's an absolute must-visit destination.”
“Great flavor crust, amazing vegan pizzas! As a big guy, I easily eat a whole pizza here, generally we order an extra so we get to try the different combinations. The puttanesca pizza is the best? Try them all!!!”
