Food is always great. Happy hour menu from 2pm-5pm is an amazing deal. Outside seating is great for after a mountain bike ride”

“We hadn’t been here since they first opened and were still finding their footing. Finally made it back for dinner and WOW do I regret waiting so long. The menu is fabulous. The dishes were seasonal, generous and outstanding. This place is a gem and true Italian. Lucky Fairfax. We’ll be back more often!”

“Really good food - we got the Korean fried chicken banh mi, which had a nice sweet heat to it. And the curry tofu was also nice and crispy. My sister literally was drinking the salad dressing. Also they were very nice, making us a half veggie and half chicken banh mi.”

Great blends from Napa Valley , as good as any expensive vineyard , the owner blends and creates them for years, STRONG WINE, UNBELIEVABLE TASTE! The food is amazing, I’m a New Yorker and loved it ! The gluten free pasta was done to perfection! Wished I lived closer…we would be there every week! The ambiance and staff were inviting , and the owner is a vibe unto himself! “love love love it here! my mom and I stayed in fairfax for a whole week and we ate here several times. food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, staff is amazing. special shout out to our main man Ty who remembered us by name and was always super fun and friendly every time we came in. he may even play you a few songs on his guitar if you’re lucky. this place was definitely a highlight of our trip and i’ll miss going there when we leave. we could also tell that this place is a huge hit with the locals which is always nice to see. thanks for all of the great food, drinks, conversations, and songs Barefoot Cafe! until next time! -Ebony”

“Stillwater is one of those places that really captures the laid-back Fairfax vibe. It has a great mix of good food, drinks, and live music, which makes it more than just a typical bar or restaurant.
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a nice indoor/outdoor feel. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a casual date night. When there’s live music, the energy is fun but not overwhelming, and you can tell it’s a local favorite.
Food and drinks have been consistently good on my visits. The menu has solid comfort-style options, and the bar makes quality cocktails. Service has also been friendly and attentive, even when it’s busy.
If you’re in Fairfax and want a place with character, music, and a good community feel, Stillwater is definitely worth a stop.”

“Great spot! We went there as an after party for our friends wedding. Very fun, laid back spot. Service was friendly, never felt like we had to wait too long for a drink even though our group filled the place up!”

“I’ve been to a lot of ice cream places around the world and this is my favorite one (get the vanilla honey lavender flavor). Not only is the ice cream delicious and waffle cone crunchy, but it is very cheap (I swear ice cream has gotten so expensive - like why are some places charging $10). The only downside would probably be that they only take cash.”

Food not provided but I understand you can order food from next door and it's delivered directly to you! A small thus intimate club! Everybody was nice and friendly! “Our dog is on a special diet, rice being a main component. Through process of elimination, we discovered she loves Thai rice, tolerates some other Asian ones, and detests all others. Why fight her? We are trying a lot of Thai places to find her fav rice.

I got the fresh rolls. 5/5! So fresh and all veggies except for a very thin rice paper wrapper part way up. I’d order these every day.

My husband ordered the duck. 5/5. So flavorful, tenderly, not fatty at all. It came with a beautiful medley of fresh steamed veggies. Perfect. He’d order it again, soon.

Our dog gave the rice a 3/5. She still has her fav. But we will be back!”

“I'm old. I've been eating at M&Gs since the late fifties. Back in the day I savored a barbecue beef sandwich. That's no longer on the menu, my new go-to is the chili burger.
I'm so happy munching the burger sipping a lemonade marvelling at all the traffic and observing the bikers across the street drinking beer next to their mountain bikes that could pay three months of my rent. Blimey!”

“Went on a Sunday morning and even though it was busy I got through the line quickly and my drink was ready in just a few minutes. I got a black and white mocha and thought it was very sweet but in a good way. It can feel a bit cramped inside but there is plenary of outdoor seating.”
