Consistently great. My wife and I grew up with mexican food, being Mexican...and I can tell you this is authentic and of quality. Don't let an old Karen from El Cerrito try and shoot this place down. Gordos is fine and I don't mind Mi Familia. No go on Mi Pueblo all day but Carmen's is great. Kind owner and staff. Great place to sit down with company.
I've been there twice, and both times I've been served at least one wrong item....thankfully those items were SUPER DELICIOUS. First time I ordered a ground beef crispy taco as one of my 4 tacos I got, and ended up getting a shredded chicken crispy taco instead, I didn't say anything because the shredded chicken taco was delicious, and the server looked a little busy at the time. Another review here complains about being called "boss" too many times - in my opinion - that would have only elevated the experience. Great burritos, great horchata, fair pricing, and overall solid meal. 9.5/10, but would be a 10/10 if I got called "boss."
