“Second time since 2021. While price has increased it still offers one of the best value in the area for tasting menu. Most of the courses are on point and creative. my favorite is the jidoji egg. The tortellini is a bit bland, but still good. I like that the atmosphere is intimate and unassuming.”

“We had a fabulous dinner o a rainy Sunday evening. The Gnocchi were deliious, so light and fluffy that they melt in your mouth. The waitstaff was gracious and very attentive. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Marin.”

Service was wonderfully personable and prompt. The only (good) problem - the diverse menu presented too many alluring choices for one dinner, so we will be back for sure. “Love this place! Pizza is delicious, its a fun casual atmosphere, and they have a great list of drinks on tap. They also have roadside service for weekend nights where it's maybe a little too busy to get a table. Fun place to catch a basketball game too!”

“A wonderful experience at Kientz Hall! We hosted baby shower in the beautiful Atrium space this past weekend. Everything was perfect. Our mostly out of town guests were impressed with the beautiful space, the delicious food and drink, and the gracious service from the Kientz Hall team. My husband and I enjoyed showing off what our beloved San Anselmo has to offer!Thank you Linda, Samantha, Elaina, and Fernando for a wonderful afternoon with friends and family!”

“Excellent sandwich and very friendly service. We were walking by and thought a sandwich sounded good. Clive was friendly, and made 2 amazing sandos for us! Also saw "pincic" menus available, great addition to downtown San Anselmo!”

“It is great to find a Subway that is open late, but what's even far better than that is that the manager, Ramy, is a very kind person who truly cares about his customers. I had a very pleasant experience visiting this Subway. My food was great, and I enjoyed striking up a conversation with Ramy. “Everything we had was great! Shrimp spring rolls were fresh and flavorful, I liked how the shrimp were actually slightly seasoned and the sauce was definitely homemade, tasted great on its own with some white rice. Their yellow curry and pad Thai were great as well. Personally I feel as though the food scene in the bay had gone downhill in the past few years and it's been a long time since any Thai restaurant in the Bay Area blew me away, but this is definitely one of the better options in the area.”

“Excellent Thai option in San Anselmo. I had the Tom Kha with chicken with was a giant portion. Friends had their Drunken noodle and Thai tea plus a few other options we got to go. Also their Christmas decor was adorable when we visited in mid December! Definitely did not disappoint.”

“If you look at my photos it probably goes without saying that I think the Comforts Chinese Tofu Salad is basically humankind's greatest invention, which is not a superlative. I'd give it 100 stars out of 5 if I could. Their offering the tofu version without needing to ask for a substitution is awesome, on top of which the tofu is richly flavorful--several omnivorous friends have said they prefer it to its chicken counterpart. The dressing is light but perfectly coats the fixings. Furthermore the staff is friendly without fail and the main drag of San Anselmo is perfect for eating outdoors. I drive out of way several times a week for this lunch and I suggest you try the same.”

“We have been looking for great pizza since we moved to Marin a little over a year ago. I am happy to tell you that we finally found it! This pizza is as close to Neapolitan style that can be found in Marin. They have unique and well thought flavor combinations, especially the "Pizza of the Month" offering. My favorite is the "Escalle": tomato, house mozzarella, house sausage, Zoe’s pepperoni & fennel pollen. I get mine with extra red sauce. They offer a take and bake option where your pizza will be mostly baked and you finish it off at home. This is a great option because your pizza will be as hot and fresh as possible when you pull it out of the oven. The pasta dishes are also tasty and well thought. If you have a sweet tooth I highly recommend the "Butterscotch Pudding" it is absolutely divine.”

“I've been eating for over 25 years and have yet to have a bad Mel or experience.Mi Pueblo in a Marin institution for Mexican food.Come and try them, you won't be disappointed.I recommend their guacamole.”

“We stopped by after being in town for a few days and needed some food at about 2pm on a Sunday. To the pro's: Quick service Highly recommend the ceviche if you like fresh options. Not our favorites: Although we tried the Chariza and Pabil tacos, we didn't want the whole plate with salad rice and beans. You cannot order ala carte and with 2 tacos to an order for $16 for the plate, it's not something I'd recommend if you're looking for just tacos. The mezcal marg was also decent but not my favorite. Worth a try if you're looking for a meal and not just a quick bite though.”

“My husband & I used to be regulars at this restaurant until we moved out of Fairfax and further north so it's been a while since I have been here. I went last night for dinner with my sister and we had a fantastic meal. The server was very attentive and patient. He was great answering our questions and held one of the appetizers she had ordered to keep it warm until I arrived. Very nice. The only thing is that now that I'm vegetarian, there weren't a lot of pasta options and I ended up with a margarita pizza. It was yummy so no complaints, but I would love it if some restaurants in Marin would start to make more of an effort for vegetarians and vegans, especially since more and more people are going at least partially plant based. I have to say that it is the running joke for me with my friends that when we go out to eat, I have the choice of a mushroom dish as an entree unless I decide to do salads or apps. There are so many other things to do for plant based appetites than mushrooms and butternut squash. And I feel like Italian should be one of those restaurants that can really do a nice job with non-meat dishes. Okay, that being said, we had a great time, the apps and wine were delicious and the dessert, Tartuffo, was as delicious as I had remembered.”
