“Matteucci's is a legendary Marin institution and one of the last of it's kind. This is an old-fashioned neighborhood bar with long-time regulars, good drink prices, impeccable service and relaxed atmosphere.Matteucci's harken's back to a near lost time when we all went to local bars afterwork where "everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came".I come as often as I can, usually with friends to kick back, have a good drink, talk and laugh. “Great music on a Wednesday night with a friendly crowd and Jared, the bar manager stayed on top of all of it all night. Will definitely go back on another Wednesday!

Parking: there are dedicated spots in front and across the street with open street parking on both sides. Too easy.“

“Went there to catch a Niner game and while there are tvs this is not a sports bar, which is cool but be warned if that's the reason for your visit. They have a large outdoor area in the back with tables and umbrellas. Bathrooms were not gross though I say this with only a 50% sample size. There is one pool table that accepts bills so there's a headache averted. They have card nights with what seemed a healthy patronage. Hold 'em was the game d'jour during my visit. Of note: There were several signs alerting to the fact that drug use and dealing of the same are not for them so consider yourself informed. I had a good time so may you do the same“

Pool tables, juke box, long bar, cheap drinks. They had some special flavored tequilas they were making some nice on-the-fly cocktails with for some in our group, and we were really happy with them.“

We got married at Deer Park Villa nearby and chose to have our after-party at Nave's after looking into multiple bars in the area. Nave's stood out to us over the others because of the friendly, casual, laid-back, and fun vibes! Candice made it so easy for us, helped us coordinate with Ghiringhelli's Pizzeria in town to have late night food there and ready for us when we arrived, and even let us bring our DJ and allowed him to set up his equipment and continue to play for all of our guests. We cannot thank her or Nave's enough for this! They even let us come back and do it all over again the next night! Some of our best wedding memories were made here this weekend. All of the staff and other customers were so friendly and welcoming to us! We definitely recommend Nave's for a wedding after-party or event! The views of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Horseshoe Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, and San Francisco are unsurpassed. Highly recommended.“

We sat inside. The indoor decor was bright and spacious. It was warm so we didn't sit outside.
Outdoor is a garden setting with many private nooks and many beautiful flowers and vines.
As I waited for my party I sat at the bar and watched the bartender make splendid cocktails.
The dining room was busy with a older crowd of Marin regulars.
I spotted a fellow ex Dipsea runner
at a large family table.
We were efficiently seated at a private side dining area as requested.
Our food came piping hot The portions were large and we shared our entrees.
Everything was extraordinary.
Our server was fun as we chatted and she made good recommendations.

Our recent meal with lamb chops, fresh vegetables, mashed potatoes and split pea soup served with crumbled blue cheese salad couldn't have been better. “Stayed at the new AC hotel this weekend and went to Above Fifth the rooftop bar Saturday night for drinks. Contrary to all the bad reviews, we found the experience to be a great one. We counted three of us plus maybe three or four other tables, and about 10-12 staff members, who were all friendly and attentive. We were allowed to choose our booth seating, and they promptly rolled over a heater to keep us warm. We would definitely return to this hotel and bar“

If you’re the type who likes to just get a single or a couple slices of a specific pizza, this is that type of pizzeria and it’s frankly one of the best in Marin. Yeah everyone says the west coast can’t do pizza very well compared to NYC or Chicago but I’d say at least give this place a fair try before you judge!“

“This one is long overdue. I’ve been going to this restaurant for a few years; whenever I am in the area. I like their selection of beer. There are a few standards like the Kiltlifter along with a handful of seasonal offerings. I usually go around lunch time or a little later and I usually sit at the bar. There are several television sets so if you are a sports nut, there is likely something on for you to watch. I order the Ruben sandwich and it’s massive enough to have a second meal off of. I have come to know several of the staff members and so it’s always a little more relaxed and laid back. Moylans is a solid restaurant and brewery and has enough to offer a variety of folks. No, not “true” vegan but there are a few vegetarian options on the menu.“
