“Stopped in for a quick lunch after our Alcatraz tour and we were not disappointed! Had one dozen raw oysters and the truffle Parmesan fries. Fresh, delicious! Our server was also lovely and the entire service team was attentive and friendly. Don’t miss this popular place!“
“Excellent service and delicious food. Really loved the freshness of the crudo and the sandwich was very rich and perfect for sharing. Obviously great wine with a good selection of glasses and bottles available. Best to make a reservation because it's on the small side but definitely with a try.“
“We came here for my husbands birthday, we got their at 3:30 pm, since they close at 6 pm. I had the double stack burger, it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The bread was so soft, the patties were tender and cooked médium well. It was so good. The fries were extra crisp and salty, I love fries, I would go back just for the fries! I also had an M3 I think that what the drink was called. Get it! My husband also bought two pizzas and a salad. Which were both yum♡ And of course you get a beautiful view. I would layer, if your planning to be their a while.Parking: Don't worry about parking, there is tons of it.“
“Listed as one of the top tiki bars in the country and i see why! Love the speak easy approach and three floors of authentic tiki vibe. The drink selections are authentic and boundless. I will need to make many more trips to make my way through the incredible menu. The only thing better than the drinks was the staff. The bartenders were extremely friendly , attentive, and skillful. Despite the constant line out the door, they managed to create quality tiki drinks consistently. The vibe was great and everyone seemed to be loving the place as much as i was. I scratched off the fundamental mai tai and zombie. Can’t wait to go back for the painkiller before going with more exotic concoctions.“
“Fine dining price & portion but slightly underwhelming. Everything was good but not WOW. Service was mehWe enjoyed the bluefin tuna tostada and the sakura toast the most. The strawberry scallops were also great.Overall overpriced for what it is.Atmosphere was nice though.“
“My husband and I popped in for cocktails after a dinner and had a great time. At 7:30pm on a Thursday, we easily found a table and tried a pina colada and their after the gold rush cocktail - both very good. We could hear each other talk but there was still a lively ambience. The decor is fun and we’re lucky this is local to us.“
“Up to this point this might be my favorite bar in the city. I appreciated the laid back atmosphere, the delicious hot apple cider with brandy, the cozy seating, and the music. Like where the heck else can you find a live organist and trumpeting who absolutely wail?? Live music Thursday through Sunday, no cover charge but tips are appreciated (and very much deserved) for the musicians. Such a cool spot“
“Came here with a group of 5 for a friend’s bday and was so pleasantly surprised!Good:- The tater tots were awesome, loved the bulgogi- Great pricing for a large group not too expensive- The bulgogi hot pot was so good- I like the fruit wine here as well and came with a lot of ingredients in it- Service was great friendly staff who also brought out ice cream and sang happy birthday, food also came out quicklyBad:- The chicken karaage was pretty normal not super fancy though and was a bit blandOverall this place was a solid place for a hangout with friends and great Korean food. Was packed as well on a Thursday night“
“The friendliest staff in the city work here. Also, a killer cocktail menu and the food was superb, we had a proper Guinness with a beef stew and fresh soda bread and it was absolutely delicious, one of our favorite date night spots in the city!“
“Located in the Presidio, Dalida has THE BEST pita bread ever! Trust me, you'll want to order an extra to enjoy with the hummus that comes with the dish "breaking bread". Dalida expertly cooks their lamb, I highly recommend ordering the lamb shoulder. Another dish that I also enjoyed was the octopus, which is plated artfully. One dish that didn't meet my expectations was the chicken. I was hard to cut and wasn't cooked throughly. Our waitress was super gracious and took the chicken back and had the kitchen fire up a new one, which was also just meh. Give this place a try, I'd just not order the chicken. Parking is fairly easy and there's outdoor dining for those rare non freezing cold SF days.“
“This is my favorite place for a nice dinner in the Castro. The cozy upstairs location feels miles away from the craziness down on 18th Street. I love the interesting cocktail specials, the pasta dishes, and the tiramisu for dessert. We had an especially nice meal there for Thanksgiving.“
“Lovely atmosphere, very good flavors, and attentive service...at times TOO attentive.I was in town for a conference and decided to just have one solo, quiet meal to take a break. It's just the right noise level - bustling enough to feel safe and comfortable, but not so loud as to not be able to hear myself talk. The food was quite good. I loved my lamb dish. But the kale I got on the side was inedibly salty. I ate a few bites but couldn't keep going. Usually the wait staff would have asked if I didn't enjoy it or something if a dish was barely touched but here they did not, and just took it away. They did, however, spend almost 3 minutes recommending and describing half the menu. It was too much, especially because I didn't even ask for recommendations. I was also trying to relax with headphones in and watch a video while eating my meal, but the server kept coming by to ask me how everything was when I clearly had headphones in.The Sesame dessert was interesting and excellent!“
“This spot is so cool. The cocktails are fun and usually pretty amazing. The staff are sweet even when they're stretched thin across a lot of tables. The decor is amazing, and especially for holidays sometimes, but I think I like even more when it's not. They also have some TVs around to watch a game or make conversation about a movie playing, but where they're not overly distracting. Bar and table seating are equally attractive, and it's close to Bart and downtown. Great spot for a group of friends or a more casual date“
“A fantastic Yucatan style restaurant and Tequila bar ! I've been coming here for 30 years. All the way back to Tommy serving us with his lovely wife and kids Candy/Julio - Julio and his generous pours of Tequila ! Looking forward to getting up there this summer and spending the afternoon there.“
“Zombie Village delivers an authentic tiki experience that expertly avoids the cliché, creating an atmosphere that's both sophisticated and spirited. The Desert Oasis stands out with its masterful blend of flavors, a true testament to the bar's dedication to quality and creativity. The setting is just right for any occasion, whether you're out for a lively evening with friends or looking for a cozy corner on a date.A nod to Echo behind the bar, her expertise adds to the charm of the place. The service is as smooth as the cocktails are delicious, making every visit memorable. Here’s to Zombie Village for setting the bar high and to the staff, for their part in making each experience better than the last.“
“In just two short months, it's already my third visit to this restaurant. This restaurant is a great choice for a date, not only because the food is delicious, but also because the overall dining atmosphere is particularly pleasant.I highly recommend their fries, which are not too salty and fried to perfection, very tasty, and you can feel the chef's delicate craftsmanship. The steak is cooked to perfection and I highly recommend it as well. The chocolate soufflé dessert has a moderate sweetness, with a slightly bitter chocolate flavor, and is accompanied by banana ice cream, which is a truly beautiful combination.“
“They have omakase, which I would very much recommend. It's one bite of everything, and the chef makes it right there. Don't worry, you'll be full by the end lolDietary restrictions: They ask you when about allergies and restrictions when you sit down so you'll be fine unless you have a seafood allergy“
“Tasty mexican food in North Beach. It was pretty early - like 5:30 pm - and the place was empty, so the orders delivery was fast. We had a burrito (big!) and some tacos with carne asada (portion of three), a cheese enchilada and tacos with guacamole. Everything was really tasty, maybe a little hard to digest (more than other mexican experiences) but I have to say I was really hungry and I ate fast. This food plus two margaritas was like 72$ without tip and I think it’s pretty expensive (it was the most expensive dinner in a almost two weeks trip in and around San Francisco so I think it’s something worth to say). Not so happy with that.Other things: the neighborhood is pretty great, the location is just okay (it doesn’t recall authenticity but it looks more like a franchise fast food); service is a bit cold but kind so nothing to whine about (it’s just an observation). So yeah if you’re hungry, price it’s not a problem and you aren’t looking for a “traditional” kind of thing, this is the place!“
“I love this bar/lounge! Upstairs is a quieter area with seating and a bar, but downstairs is the lounge where the live music happens on weekend nights, and this is the place to be! We always have so much fun here. You can even rent out private tables for the live music. This is a great place to drink and dance with young people all the way to older people. I don’t recommend the signature drinks if you don’t like sweet but I like their beers or typical bar drinks. Love this place so much and its tribute to history in Chinatown.“
“Food was amazing also the vibes in this restaurant are spectacular it's very lively. I had ended up having a cocktail over wine of course the gimlet there was bomb I ended up having two. Service was overly great I must say like a little too great not saying that I don't like to be checked up on but any given moment things were cleared and we were asked how is everything ...glasses were always full. The potatoes were alright and the brussel sprouts the same. I wasn't really digging the beef short rib but the agnolotti dal plin ugh was so good I will come back just for this.“
“Exactly what millennials want and need: reasonable volume music, reasonable priced food and drink, and a classy but fun VIBE.Quality: 4.5Value: 5 (for SF)Service: 4Ambience: 5This place has great happy hour deals and a really great set of decor and music. You can head yourself talk! But the music is also good. What a concept!Service was a little mid; one of the servers wasn't in a great mood/was struggs but the rest were nice, and stuff came out eventually. The cocktails were GREAT! Really delightful choices and prices.Their happy hour deal on oysters is also pretty unheard of: $1.50 each and they were wonderful, briny and creamy.French fries were also great, as was the ceviche. Also, the ceviche we had was one of the best I've ever had.“
“Propagation has such a great vibe! I enjoyed sipping my drinks amid the holiday decorations. This year’s Lunar New Year pop-up was a huge success as well as the cocktail menu accompanying it. There is no shortage of fun and tasty food or liquor pop up events. The ambience and decor instantly transports me away from the hustle/bustle of the TenderNob. I can easily spend hours here catching up with friends/co-workers/family as the amusingly named drinks are top notch. The bathroom is always clean and the bartenders are friendly and attentive!“
“Love this spot! The service is very welcoming and friendly, and the food tastes like a Korean home cooked meal. They don't mess around with flavor here!I would say everything on the menu is a must try, but my favorites are the Hangover Soup, Fried Chicken w/ Yuzu Sauce, and Corn Cheese (addicting). An honorable mention would be the stuffed mushrooms.Lastly, the restaurant is a fun vibe with great music. They have an event almost every week so check out their IG for a party!“
“There was a live band there when we went. The ginger ale and lemonade were really good. The portions look small but have a lot of food. The potatoes for the fish and chips were excellent. The servers were very attentive but not intrusive. The space is open inside and welcoming. Nice community atmosphere.Parking: Ride Muni K line for easy accessKid-friendliness: Kids of all ages present. Children's menu option.“
“This place is the ideal dive bar. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and even better people watching. Great selection behind the bar, along with quite a few activities (i.e. darts, pool, shuffleboard, basketball head-to-head, etc.). It's definitely a fun place if you're in the neighborhood. A bucket of Modelo was $25“
“Absolutely fantastic! That would be our summed up review. With the white interior and glass counters displaying all seafiidnavailablenfornthe day, the first impression was an upscale fish shop. With small tables on the side, we ordered our selections at the small counter, prepaid, and Satoko at one of the tables. Not crowded on a Saturday morning but many people came by to buy back. 4 types of oysters were available that morning so we had a half-dozen each (Miyagi, St. Simon, Standard Shore, and Kusshi). Few places offer oysters this early in the morning. Fresh and delicious. Kusshis remain our favorite, small but tasty! The clam chowder was rich and creamy. We shared a 16oz. It was filled with clams and potato... so much goodness! The Spanish Octopus Carpaccio was delightfully presented and in a generous portion. Sliced really thin, tasted fresh, not as chewy as one would expect. One of the best ways to eat octopus, I think. Last but not least, the Hamachi Crudo. This was AMAZING! I cannot describe it well enough with words. Fresh hamachi of course, with peppers, nuts (beware if you have allergies), caramelized onions, dill, and a bed of thick gravy-like dressing that perfectly accompanied the hamachi. Excellent dish!“
“The dinner prix fixe was stellar. Each dish was special and interesting, and balanced. The care that the staff gave us was personal and thoughtful, and they tailored to our dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: Extremely accommodating to dietary restrictions. Just share with your server!“
“I hadn't been back at this place since the night we watched the fireworks for the Golden Gate Bridge's 75th anniversary ( many years ago, maybe 10). The man by the door was friendly and greeted us. But the bartender was not very friendly and frankly seemed like he would prefer for us to leave. We got an Irish Coffee for the old times to share. It was still great! Drank it quickly, paid and got out of there. Although still a good drink, I rather be somewhere where the staff are a bit more pleasant.“
“What a lovely little spot! We stumbled across this restaurant when we were in North Beach and wanted to get some Italian. It was one of the few spots that was open late. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised! The owner/chef was so charismatic and kind, made us feel taken cared of. He also gave great wine recommendations for our meals. The gnocchi was out of this world, it was like a pillow melting in my mouth. What a great experience especially when you want traditional Italian food. We will definitely be coming back again and trying more of the pasta dishes!“
“Nice ambience, solid friendly service. I'd come here again. Good for a date night. Extensive wine list, would order the margarita pie next time.Skip the castelvetrano olives, nothing special. Chicken liver crostini was solid, good ratio of liver to toast, and the little radish and olive on the plate was nice. You do taste the liver though, don't get me wrong.Gnocchi with nettle pesto was very good, nice texture on the gnocchi, not too firm or bouncy. Pesto and fonduta were rich, the chanterelles adds needed textural and flavor contrast. Pizza with fungi was solid but I'd recommend the margherita next time for more contrast with the acid of the tomatoes. The crust is really good here, nice chew, solid base with a little droop. The fungi pizza was just a little one note with the richness from the cheese and a little savoriness from the mushrooms, missing some acid for freshness for balance.Market price on the 1lbs roasted snapper (other option was sea bream) was $42. Nice firm flesh and they remove the central bone in advance. The preserved Meyer lemon on the side was only ok, the parsley sauce was better, the grilled scallions quite good. We picked the cabbage with bagna cauda for our side - great execution/char on the cabbage, the sauce was savory without tasting fishy at all with some crouton/crispy breadcrumbs for contrast. Highly recommend the cabbage.Buttermilk panna cotta nailed the texture but my table mates commented that it just felt like Greek yogurt given the tang and that's fair. It's hard to get the passion fruit on the spoon so it's a bit of a waste. For the brown butter gelato and blood orange sorbet to, the gelato was better imo, more depth of flavor, quite dense, but it overall tasted more milky like a fior di latte with just a touch of nutty brown butter at the end. I wonder if they add more milk solids to the butter to bump that up. Blood orange could have been more orange-y, get some oil extraction of the peels or something.“
“The burger was really great. Different taste from other options around. Problem is that I was given the wrong beer, a lager and not a stout that has the same name. Others in our group had their orders incorrect for their burger toppings. But we just dealt with it.“
“We'll be hitting up the Mad Dog for some bangers as soon as we adjust the Whipply Pimpertickler on Goosebump Charlie's old Draveport Traveler, that way he can use it for something other than a door stop at his place there on the Ashbury.WOW! That Mad Dog restaurant sure can put out some great food, might even day it was Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆“
“The first time we came here it was a rainy night and packed. The music was going and it seemed like a local crowd. Tonight it was a little less crowded but just as lovely. The food, drinks are great. The Sunday music transports you to another place across the Atlantic. So sweet and highly recommend this place. The pork chop is a fave, as is the cottage pie and roasted chicken. You will have leftovers.“
“Great spot with excellent cocktails. Usually not too busy - I’ve gone on Friday nights and got right in. Any wait is usually < 30 minutes. It does stay busy though, so expect some delays with wait staff. I suggest their Coconut Chicken Sando!“
“LOVE LOVE LOVE this gem! I drove twice in the past week to OBF for food and NA drinks. They have Athletic Run Wild IPA on draft! The staff is friendly and generally very happy to have you there and be a part of their day. The food is DELISH! Breakfast, lunch, coffee, refreshing NA drink to enjoy outside or inside. It is worth the drive for me to not be laughed at when I try to order an NA beverage and have a tons of options.“
“Everything about our experience here was phenomenal. The wait wasn’t long, the atmosphere was lively, multiple staff tended to us, and before we even got our food. The west coast oysters were great and the Cioppino was so flavorful and full of seafood.Shoutout to Connie, our waitress, for making our experience the more worth while. Your energy was very bright. Highly recommend!“
“Went here for the Christmas cocktails in December. And they were absolutely delicious. One of the issues I have with Christmas/holiday cocktails is that they tend to be super sweet. These were interesting, well balanced and high quality cocktails.“
“Got a great parking spot across the street in front of Now Valley Bakery, which is not always the case on 24th Street. We were meeting friends there in the back outdoor area. TVs at every booth and you just ask the server to change the channel - we wanted to see the Giants. Midday beers on St Patrick’s Day weekend and it was lovely out. Lots of locals go there, so we saw a few friends. Service was great and I was introduced to the Black Velvet: Prosecco and Guinness! Sounds kind of awful but it was great. Our server was Shanna and she’s so much fun and works hard. Took great care of us!“
“Holy cannoli! Came here twice in a week because it's that good. First time we dined in and had table service for three of us. The staff immediately greeted us with recommendations of the menu for food and drink. We started off with some cocktails- the Stemware at Dolores Martini, and a new addition which was basically a white Negroni. They were delish. For starters we ordered the focaccia bread and the fried mozzarella Carozza with a house made marinara. Both were an amazing way to start a meal. We shared the Bolognese and Gnocchi Carbonara with duck. Both packed with flavor. The Bologense tasted like I was at someone's house in Italy. We ended with the pistachio cannolis. The mascarpone was so soft and it wasn't too sweet. A perfect balance. It was so good I didn't even have time to take a picture. The second time we came we sat at the bar. It was a cool vibe to chat with the bartenders and watch the warriors game. The.l bar program should not be overlooked. We ordered the Lost Boy and the C is for Cookie. Both were delicious. I've never had a Manhattan with anise and Prosecco, but it worked. We again got the focaccia, this time with whipped ricotta and mortadella. It was amazing. We also used the bread to dip in the leftover sauce of the chilled artichoke. We shared the fried chicken and polenta as our entree. The polenta might be the best I ever had. The chicken was awesome, too. Perfectly crispy and juicy, and smothered with Calabrian chilis. Great flavor, not too spicy. We ended with that tiramisu, and once again might be the best I've had. The cake was moist and had the perfect balance of sweetness. I'll be back until I go through the whole menu. I'm looking forward to seeing this place evolves a great addition to the neighborhood!“
“Came by for a show my friend was playing in on a Sunday night. The bar staff was friendly and quick with drinks and the sound was good (but loud). They had free ear plugs at the bar which was great. We were a bit concerned about the smell of gasoline at one point…but quickly learned it was a motorcycle outside. Looking forward to seeing more live music here this year.“
“There’s CATS INSIDE BRUH THATS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW!! Andddd i guess the drinks were super yummy too. I loved the cucumber gimlet 10/10 on that. Cutesy family (+jake?iykyk) business! I will hit this place up every time I’m in SF, you have to try it!“
“There is a lot to like about the Chapel. It's an attractive and intimately sized room. The booking is eclectic. The staff is nice. It's well located (although parking sucks in the mission) so maybe take BAR, MUNI or UBER. All that said, I've been to two shows there in the last week and the sound for each of them pretty much sucked. In each case the mix was such, that one or two instruments dominated. It was really hard to hear the vocals. It was two different sound men, so perhaps the problem is in the system. There are two flying line arrays on each side and some lower fill monitors also on the side but not pointed towards the center. So maybe they need to figure out a center fill component. In any case, if left feeling like I got less than the full show, because I couldn't really hear the vocals and other elements of the band.“
“All the bartenders here have a great vibe and all are ready to help you have a great night out. Really love the vibe and drink menu of this place. Find my way here at least once a week… larger crowds on nights with chase or oracle events, more mellow on other nights. If you’re in the hood don’t miss out!“
“I hit up Last Rites with a friend one night, and it is a cool little bar. The tiki drinks are really tasty, and the whole vibe that they are going for - a downed airplane in the jungle - is pretty unique. The sound effects for the crashed plane are a little loud depending on where you are sitting, so bear that in mind especially if you are going for a date.My friend and I enjoyed the place, and I would return again, albeit with a larger group. I think that this place would be fun to go to with a group of people.“
“Sashimi and brussel sprouts were excellent! Very fresh and full of flavor. The rolls were also fresh but we didn't love the flavor combinations. They do have several spicy options and if you like the heat then you should give them a try! Staff were friendly and the service was quick.“
“Local bars like the Dogpatch Saloon are part of a vanishing class of drinking establishments: Friendly vibes where regulars and newcomers are all welcome, dog-friendly, low-key and sort of divey but also classy(??), expert bartenders who treat customers feel like familiar friends, and a great selection of liquors and beers on tap. Walking into this place kinda feels like coming home whether it's your first time here or your fiftieth.“
“We found this Mexican restaurant while we visited Golden Gate Park and walked to there following google map. Their complimentary chips are freshly cooked, we especially liked the pairing red sauce salsa. It's delicious. I liked the carne asada taco and al pastor taco. The carne asada is seasoned well and grilled tender. The al pastor taco is paired with mango and has a little bit of sweet taste. The portion is generous and the price is affordable. The owner is warm and friendly. It's a great restaurant worth trying.“
“This place is such a hidden gem. I got the Kentucky hot chocolate and loved it. My fiancé tried the Weary drifter which was nice too. We also had their shooters made with homemade raspberry infused honey which was pretty good! Loved the vibe of the place with the pool table and juke box. We had such a fun time here!“
“This is my go-to spot in the Castro for a well crafted cocktail, good conversations and fun. I always end up meeting with and talking to so many random people. And the fact that I can order a Paper Plane, Naked and Famous, Aviation, or a Last Word with the bartenders not blinking in confusion is priceless - CJ in particular is the BEST.Bonus points for the content on their TVs where you never know what random movie on DVD will be playing from Death Becomes Her to Rat Race to random horror flicks.“
“When your clients decide on Liholiho Yacht Club as the place to meet to design their future wedding rings ?Food is communal by nature, as a result, I was amazed by the fruitfulness our meeting yielded — as we departed, our spirits soared with inspiration and excitement for what’s to come ?“
