“On a recent visit to SF I had brunch with my son. Without a doubt the best food I’ve had in a long long time. The great food quality was what really got to me. I’m from the Caribbean so I need spice and flavor in my food and the flavors were so unique and interesting and the owner and her Chef hubby were so fun and genuinely nice people.
I had absolutely no notes.“

“We had a great experience at Aziza. We came here for late brunch at 1pm on a Saturday.
The atmosphere in the main dining room is spacious and airy but a little plain. But the separate bar is simply stunning in decor. This space looks like an amazing place to grab a drink after work.
We ordered the following Moroccan inspired / flavored dishes:
- French toast - a beautiful thick egg coated piece of bread laden with excellent tangy blueberry sauce. Delicious.
- Avocado toast - a tasty and satisfying sprout laden avocado toast
- scrambled eggs - made with a dash of sumac and optionally, a very mild chili sauce. Well executed but not particularly memorable. It was only scrambled eggs.
- grilled prawns on a bed of polenta - perfectly done.
- date cake with a caramel sauce and toasted pecans. - simply delicious, but bring your sweet tooth!
- moroccan tea - very delicately flavored; perfect way to end the meal
The wine pairings available by the glass were good but not great.
Frankly the food was ALL delicious and high quality. And the service staff was gracious and excellent. We definitely will return.
If I had to change anything, it would be the following. Perhaps add one or two more vegan or vegetarian options, especially for mains.
Other than that, it was a great experience and one worth repeating.“

“As expats in Europe for many years, we find this restaurant a wonderful French bistro in SF. In a city full of good dining options, this one reflects a cool ambience, wonderful foods and excellent service - attentive but not overwhelming or pretentious. We ordered a number of starters - shrimp, omelette, country pate and the bread - of course, the bread... The main comprised 3 roasted chicken (our family loves a wonderfully roasted chicken - crispy skin and succulent inside).... as well as a halibut. Each of the dishes are on point... Just a note - the wine pricing is on a high side given the proximity to the wine country. The gentleman who took care of us was wonderful... checking in on us at the right time... Just a great experience.“

“Food and drinks were amazing. We had oysters, calamari, Caesar salad, lobster lasagna and hanger steak. For dessert we had the sorbet and tiramisu. The star of the show: the staff but specifically our server Maggie was also sooo amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and a farewell dinner and she made sure we had the best time! As a F&B manager, I love a good dining experience and this was it!“

“Walked into Frenchie on a Saturday night without a reservation and had a fantastic experience! The wine selection is wonderful, the service was attentive and friendly, and the ambience is incredible - super clean, stylish, and welcoming. Perfect spot for a relaxed weekend drink. Will definitely be back!“
“I’ve been here many times and really enjoy the vibe and their wine selection. However, the food could use more attention. We ordered a few dishes and while some were okay, the quality of others wasn’t great, which was a bit disappointing.“

“One of my favorites in SF! Food/wine list constantly changing with seasonal offerings. The team delivers excellent and efficient service as well. It's compact but not overly loud. Sitting at the bar next to the open kitchen is a great way to experience Buddy.“

“Truly unbelievable ambience, service, wine and food. A place I take friends in town, go for date nights, special occasions, weeknight relief, and everything in between. Something new to try by the glass every time (but I go straight for the bottles!! Some serious gems!)“

“Julia was the best server! She had the most amazing recommendations. The house red blend was incredible. The ceviche was amazing, guacamole was a huge and delicious portion. Chips were great. Sopes were great. We’ll absolutely be back!“
“Hands down favorite wine bar ever. Great wine, the kindest people. My partner and I love doing their tastings where you get to try 4 of their pours of that week from a particular winery, for a great price. Also good food and non-alcoholic options like tea. Adela and Tala are always so friendly and welcoming. Sometimes there’s live music or fun events like Mother’s Day breakfast. We try to come here often despite it being a 45 min trip for us by Muni. You won’t regret paying them a visit!“

“Greeted by very kind and accommodating staff, we were originally a party of 3 which became 4 (1.5hrs later) then finally 7 (another 1hr later). They sat us at the back which was cozy and very relaxed then to the patio at the front when we became a larger group. We were probably a headache but they made all the accommodations effortlessly.
Wine: love the concept of being able to choose your own (selection displayed inside) or being served based on your craving. We enjoyed all the bottles we had, combo of chilled reds and orange wines.
Food: meat board, holy shit the prosciutto was delicious, so delicate and easy to eat, no chewiness at all. Really enjoyed the flatbread that came with it. My only complaint is the portion, wish I had more.
Overall, a great place for quality time and conversation. We never felt rushed. I almost felt bad for not ordering “enough” for such a big party.
All our serves were women who were all so kind and attentive…. Thank you ladies!!“

The owner and his wife make make you feel relaxed and welcome. It’s also a great date spot and the tables are set up for comfort or intimacy if you prefer- it also offers food to go! Most people who try it want to return!“

“Worth the drive across the city from the Mission to eat here. It was a little cool outside so we were glad to find there was a table for 4 inside.
Our group of four shared 2 starters, 3 pizzas and 2 desserts. Everything was delicious. Favorites--marinated tomato starter, spicy San Marzano pizza, and Panna Cotta with fig“

Clever low ABV cocktails, and deep cut/ local beer selections abound. Knowledgeable staff that are the epitome of fun wine drinking, unpretentious but passionate. The people are incredible. “I just spent my birthday here with a small group of close friends and had the absolute best service! Robert was our server, one of my friends came in early and decorated our table (we reserved one of the back patio tables which seats up to eight, which was ideal for a gathering) and we just had the best time!! amazing food that was so easily shareable, incredible wine cannot wait to have another reason to come back here to celebrate!“

“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I am a business owner a few doors down and I wandered in with a friend after work one night about a month ago. We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.“

“Walked by and like the look of the restaurant. It’s an intimate and comfortable space. The menu is tight with only a few selected options for appetizers and mains! Wine list is extensive and the recommended pairing with the food were spot on.
Service was excellent and watching the food prep sitting at the bar was nice.
Would definitely be coming back when visiting again!“

“Such a fun find in the Mission! I’m always happy when a night out turns into a place I genuinely want to come back to, and this wine bar was exactly that.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. There was a lively energy in the room, but it never felt chaotic or overwhelming. The music and conversation were at a comfortable level, so we could actually talk and enjoy ourselves. There was also plenty of people watching, which, as far as I’m concerned, is always a bonus. 😊
The three of us sampled two different wines. One friend went with the Masha, while the other friend and I tried the Los Chuchaquis. The Masha was definitely the favorite of the night. It was so good that my friend ordered another glass.
The Los Chuchaquis was not quite my cup of tea, or should I say, not quite my glass of wine? 😂 I found it more tannic and bitter than I personally enjoy. My friend, however, loved it and thought it was delicious, so clearly this one comes down to personal preference. Maybe my palate just wasn’t ready for it!
What really made the evening enjoyable, though, was the overall experience. The bartender was friendly and welcoming, the crowd was happy and upbeat without being overly loud or obnoxious, and the whole place had a relaxed, comfortable vibe.
I’m not usually a night owl, so I have to give my friends credit for getting me out of the house. I ended up having a genuinely wonderful time, and I’m really glad I went.
I’ll definitely consider coming back. The wine bar itself is worth another visit, but I also noticed that the surrounding neighborhood seems really interesting. I’d love to return, wander around a bit, and explore more of this part of the city.
A great evening, good company, and a fun new spot to add to my list.“
“Such a special place. Similar to La Ciccia, Binu Bonu maintains a lovely neighborhood feel. Huge selection of wine (all of it new to me and something I really liked), wonderful charcuterie type small plates (out of this world olives). The stars are the husband and wife that make the magic place happen.“

“Where do I begin! We were in the area to help move family back home to the Midwest and I left behind a bag full of gifts I bought earlier that day. I reached out to Millay’s Instagram and not only did the amazing owner, Angel (Angel indeed) meet me there during non-business hours, but she packed us a bag full of goodies for our 30 hour drive 🥹 I’ve worked in restaurants for 13 years and been to many across the country and I’ve never seen such a thing.
For people that don’t leave bags behind (haha) our bartender was so warm and welcoming and easy to talk to. (Leni?) and they had a type of wine I have not been able to find where I live in Minnesota - I was so excited to see it, didn’t hesitate to order it, and it was perfection.
Cute little place with chill vibes, you could start or end your night here, or plan your evening around it. :)
Experiences like this are why I’ve always gravitated to California. Thank you for reminding me why I consider it my true home.
Until next time 🩷🍶🍷“

“My partner and I stopped in while visiting for the weekend and had a wonderful time. The space is charming, with two floors, outdoor seating, and a cozy atmosphere that reminded us of a wine bar you’d find in Portugal.
The wine list had a great range of prices, and we enjoyed both the whites and reds we tried. The tinned anchovies and the jamón and soppressata were also delicious and reasonably priced. The bartenders were friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. We’d absolutely come back the next time we’re in town.“

“Cute wine bar with open interior and small outdoor area facing the street. If it's good weather and you sit outside, it reminds me of a quieter cooler new york summer eating outside.
Food is ok, not amazing. The pictured salad was mediocre and the salami thing was too salty without enough stuff to balance out the salty. The wine was yummy but I'm no wine connoseriur.“

“I recently hosted a party at Ora and it was such a great experience! The space is perfect for a variety of occasions whether you’re planning a happy hour, hosting a celebration, or just having a fun girls’ night out.
A special shoutout to our bartender, Sabrina, who was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and really helped make the night feel special for everyone.
The wine selection was excellent! Everything we tried was delicious and there was something for everyone to enjoy. Overall, the atmosphere was warm, stylish, and welcoming.
I’d definitely recommend Ora if you’re looking for a great spot to unwind or celebrate with friends.“
“Super cute wine bar just across the street from Cafe Zoetrope. We were there for a calligraphy class but my daughter was feeling ill so we sat outside for a bit. The sommelier was kind and empathetic; he offered us waters and was talking to her to make her feel less embarrassed. While we were waiting, he even helped a lady park her car. So while we didn't have wine or food, the service is top notch and we'll go back!“

“Overall would recommend!
Had an excellent dinner and experience here. Few highlights: best dish was the cold smoked scallop, amazing texture and taste. Cabbage, very creamy and great umami flavor. Salmon, came with a little bowl of delicious tomato water to compliment each bite. Sourdough, apparently a remnant of their last restaurant. Would skip the Waygu + morels (although delicious). My turbot had a little piece of bone in it, which considering the overall great experience can be overlooked. Impressive bourbon collection, wonderful blues guitar playlist and friendly staff!“
