Frenchie Wine Bar Reviews
This was an incredible experience. The husband and wife, the owners of the place, made us feel like royalty at the wine bar. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning
Walked into Frenchie on a Saturday night without a reservation and had a fantastic experience! The wine selection is wonderful, the service was attentive and friendly, and the ambience is incredible - super clean, stylish, and welcoming. Perfect spot for a relaxed weekend drink. Will definitely be back!
This is my new favorite restaurant in SF. Expertly curated wine list, top-notch food and friendly service. Some of the best ceviche I’ve ever had. The Spanish jamón and the fideuà (which was a nightly special) also really stood out. Overall, just a really well thought out and well executed menu. It was also unique and included a variety of wines and food you don’t always see. I will definitely be back.

Frenchie Wine Bar offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making guests feel like family from the moment they arrive. The owners, a husband and wife team, create a special vibe that enhances the dining experience. The wine selection is impressive, with a well-curated list that includes unique options like a new Chilean wine, and the sommelier is skilled at choosing perfect pairings, including a recommended somm flight. The ambience is stylish, clean, and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed weekend drink or a memorable meal.
The menu features a variety of thoughtfully prepared dishes that stand out for their flavor and quality. Highlights include ceviche, which many reviews praise as some of the best ever, along with deviled eggs, broccoli rabe, and steak. The grilled octopus, served with a Peruvian chili sauce and little potatoes, is described as tender and perfectly balanced in flavor. Other dishes like jamón and fideuà, a nightly special, showcase the restaurant’s diverse offerings. The food is well-executed and unique, with some accommodating gluten intolerance.
Guests also enjoy desserts like crème brûlée, which is highly recommended. Service is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, with staff eager to recommend wine pairings and dishes. Overall, Frenchie Wine Bar is a delightful spot for those seeking excellent wines, flavorful food, and a cozy yet stylish environment that keeps guests returning for more.
