“This place was recommended to me, and seeing that there was a line out the door 2 days in a row, I decided to give it a try. I was very disappointed. First, I had to pay and leave my tip before I even got to sit down. I had ordered a cappuccino and it came in an espresso cup. There must have 8-10 waitstaff and not one person asked how I was doing. Big disappointment there. My food was OK had good flavors, but crust from bread was so tuff my knife didn't even wa
nt to cut through it. Then there was the cold pear sauce on my warm French toast. I had to ask about the bacon I had ordered because it was not sent out with my meal. It looked like they threw it on the plate. Anyway I won't go back. Not worth it. Not recommended, save your money for another place.“

“Just around the corner from The Morris, right on Hampshire lives Greenly Pickingoater and his little stab CocoRey the ex-sword swallower for the Ringling Brothers side show.
He called me and said get here lickity split cuss we've got a pork roast from The Morris being delivered in 1 hour.
Well, I couldn't get there fast enough! And let me tell you something...That Pork Roast and everything else from The Morris was Bombtasticly Porkalisous and every bit of 5 stars!

Loved the vibe and decor. Short-ish menu but everything was good. Yes get the duck and yes it’s huge. Brown butter seaweed noodles was another highlight.
Overall solid spot, we weren’t disappointed although might not come back as nothing was too impressive either.“

“After reading reviews I knew I had to come here. I brought a book and assumed I'd need to wait about 2 hours. They quoted me 30 minutes, but I probably only waited about 10. Keep in mind that I was also dining alone so I think it's easier to get a single spot up at the bar area compared to having a larger group.

I read that the lemon ricotta pancakes were unique and amazing, and the poster recommended that I order an extra side of lemon curd, which I did. I enjoyed watching the food being skillfully prepared while I sipped on a grapefruit mimosa. As I watched the dishes coming together, I was worried I'd ordered the wrong thing. There were so many amazing dishes and the smells were extraordinary! But I'm glad I ordered what I did because it was delicious. It also looked like there would be way too much lemon curd but sure enough, it was a good recommendation.

It was a really large portion and I wasn't able to finish it all. There were so many other things that looked amazing. It's all fresh and you can see the quality in the product.

Everyone who worked there was super nice and helpful. Really enjoyed my time there. The other people at the bar were friendly and it felt like I'd made new friends.

“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I am a business owner a few doors down and I wandered in with a friend after work one night about a month ago. We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.“

“I had such an amazing experience with Tate, Ken, and David at Waterbar! From the moment I walked in, everyone was incredibly friendly, and Tate made me feel completely at ease. Her positive energy and enthusiasm really made the whole experience unforgettable. She has such a great vibe, and I left feeling so uplifted.

David and Tate made planning the event so easy, and everything was perfect. Chef Lori created such a beautiful cake for our wedding—we chose the s’mores cake, and it was absolutely delicious!

Ken was also fantastic—he made me feel welcome right away, and his drinks were a hit! Everyone was raving about them, and his jokes added such a fun, relaxed atmosphere to the day. Tate and David ensured everything ran smoothly.

Besides the buckwheat course which was a bit salty for my taste, everything else tastes amazing. The highlights of the meal are the lobster and the lamb. The pairing of lamb and berries is so ingenious as the berries balance out the richness of the lamb. Nordic herbs and fermentation techniques make such a huge difference and elevate everything. Presentation is gorgeous. Wine list is superb. Service is top notch as well. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Well deserved 2 Michelin stars in my opinion.“

“Such a fun, iconic spot! I loved the atmosphere and it was really easy to find parking. The food was fantastic also, and I'd recommend in particular the bouillabaisse and the shrimp scampi.

The service, however, was lackadaisical. It took nearly an hour to get our food, and the server didn’t bring the appetizer first (in fact it didn't even arrive with the main meal). He seemed unconcerned about our experience.“

“Great little wine bar with a lovely little back patio area. We came here mid-afternoon on a Sunday with a group of 5 and were seated right away. There were heated seats and warmers around to keep the patio cozy in cool weather. The service was great - our waiter listened to our preferences and picked out a great bottle for the table. We enjoyed the food options too - peppadew pepper poppers stuffed with goat cheese and that were unexpectedly sweet and spicy and vinegary, and a nice meat and cheese board. Would love to try the pistachio feta dip next time I’m visiting!

“The Pork Store Café is a half block away from my pal Eyeball Joe's place so when I visit him we always get our food delivered, it comes hot and fast right from the kitchen. The last time we ate in the restaurant the order was mixed up with another table and he got someone else's order, so he popped his glass eyeball out and pressed it against the servers shoulder and said "I've got my eye on you...so you better watch it!" Ever since them he's got his food delivered. We had an Amazing porkchop dinner! ☆☆☆☆☆“

It's amazing to think they aren't trained chefs because it's one of the best meals I've had! We did the mini sake pairing menu and it was so much fun. As a sake lover, it was great to see such a unique and varied selection paired with the courses. I wanted to live in the moment so didn't take any pics. :) I wish Clint and Yoko an abundance of continued success.
