“My friends and I came here yesterday for cookies after a walk on the beach, and despite looking quite casual for such a nice restaurant we had such a great experience with the staff! Two staff were new (the lady was so competent for a new employee, you go girl!) and extremely nice, and the woman whipping up the desserts behind was the sweetest and gave us a few extra beignets to share :)

The best part (aside from the delicious food) was when the man at the register called my friend sir, a rare moment he was correctly gendered. We were all so happy! The desserts were also fabulous, cookies were GIANT and yummy, we particularly enjoyed the snickerdoodle and oatmeal raisin, the beignets were truly to die for, and the passionfruit lemon cake was such a good deal with real lilikoi flavor (Hawaiian approved)!“

The Entrée: Perfection on a Plate For the main course, I opted for the Duck, and it was cooked to perfection. Seriously, melt in the mouth- tender meat was phenomenal. The plate presentation was stunning, far exceeding my expectations—it was a true work of art. The side of Grapefruit and Vinaigrette Salad was the perfect accompaniment. It was one of the best salads I have ever had in San Francisco; the brightness of the grapefruit cut through the richness of the duck beautifully. Desserts: Celebrating National Cocoa Day! To celebrate National Cocoa Day Dec. 13th-I couldn't resist. I highly suggest partaking in the Hot Chocolate for a decadent dessert item—it was rich, velvety, and a perfect holiday treat. And if you still have room, the Cheesecake with Brown Sugar is another truly fantastic dessert that offers a wonderful, comforting finish to the meal. NOPA is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination. The ambiance, the incredible staff like Zach, and the impeccable, thoughtful food quality solidify NOPA as a must-visit spot in San Francisco. “It took me a while to try this restaurant since we have many good options on Potrero Hill but finally I did and now love it and return regularly. The flavors are unique, the food is fresh, the staff is kind and the coffee good. I like to try different dishes and I've enjoyed: Roasted Cauliflower Bowl, Pesto Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Vegetarian Scramble. My husband is a fan of the wagyu skewers. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend.“

“We walked in on NYE without a reservation and they graciously found us a spot in the bar area. Service was on point and staff were festively dressed! I love a crafty cocktail but most are too sweet. I had the Smokey mezcal cocktail 🍹. Perfection. Appetizers were delish as well. Perfect way to start our NYE celebrations.“

“The food was good. But unclear if Michelin 3 star level good. Seemed to me closer to Michelin 2 or 1 star. Also the pacing was off with lots of long gaps and the in the end went quickly. If had better pacing, i could have been done at least an hour earlier aka it shouldn't take an hour for small bites. I also felt many of the dishes were bland and i wish they were more like kimchi. My favorite was the albolone liver. I also wisn there was a non alcoholic pairing.“

“I was so happy that my dinner reservations (for one) were accepted the same day! I was at the Golden Gate Bridge all day and walked over to the neighborhood location; what a great decision.

My mind was blown at how John was doing it all - getting the fresh fish from the market, prepping the food, cooking AND serving!

The food was impeccable. I have a small stomach, but I was gobbling and stuffing myself silly, because I just couldn't stop eating. My favorite was a Petrale Sole dish, with the aforementioned fresh fish! Soooo delicious and with such wonderful textures.

I also felt so blessed to get more than the dishes listed on the menu... there was also soup, mouth-watering bread, and a bonus dessert! That said, I would also say that either Google or the website didn't have the right price listed. However, WELL WORTH the price for the culinary experience!

There's some quirky decor, which amused me. Check out the apron displayed in the bathroom! It was the chef/owner's when he was a little boy! What fun.

All in all, I would definitely recommend that you consider giving this place a try!“

“One65 was an amazing discovery on our trip to San Francisco. Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?“
