“The food was great, the wine choices were great but I can’t say enough wonderful things about my waiter Brayden. It’s not hard to find success with the view, but the service was above and beyond! I can’t wait to come back when I’m back in the city.“
“I took a friend for brunch that has never been to Sula or Cavallo Point. She was so impressed with the food, cocktails, the service and the view. We both had the scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and fruit. Everything was delicious! The bacon was high quality. I wish I could scramble eggs as good as Sula's. We ordered the diplomat cocktail. All outstanding! I was watching other tables and all the other breakfast entree's looked amazing. The chef never disappoints at Farley or Sula. Highly recommend!“

“Needed a splurge by myself. Sat at the bar and ordered off the full menu. Bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. Went with their wine suggestions since I was drinking by the glass, and both wines were delicious and well suited to the food.
The food, by the way, was excellent. Had the buckwheat tartine, lots of interesting flavors! The two-way duck was tasty in two preparations, one more tender and the other a bit more spiced.“

“We walked in on NYE without a reservation and they graciously found us a spot in the bar area. Service was on point and staff were festively dressed! I love a crafty cocktail but most are too sweet. I had the Smokey mezcal cocktail 🍹. Perfection. Appetizers were delish as well. Perfect way to start our NYE celebrations.“

“🌟 NOPA San Francisco: A Bucket List Culinary Triumph! 🌟 Review by: The Bucket List Coach Webshow. I recently had the distinct pleasure of crossing a major culinary destination off my bucket list: NOPA San Francisco. My dining experience on December 12, 2025, was not just a meal; it was an absolute masterclass in hospitality and farm-to-table excellence. Exceptional Service: A Shoutout to Zach! From the moment we sat down, the experience was elevated by our server, Zach. He truly went above and beyond, anticipating needs and offering spot-on recommendations, making the dining experience feel incredibly special and seamless. A massive shoutout to Zach, as well as the entire Culinary team, Management team, and staff—the level of coordination and passion was palpable. Appetizers and Beverages: Instant Classics The meal kicked off with the Date and Pear appetizer, which was absolutely fantastic—a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and texture. And for the beer lovers out there, you must try the Honey Beer 🍺. I'm officially adding this to my personal "Beer Bucket List!" I will absolutely be recommending it to all my followers on my podcast and through my travel agency. Thanks to Woods Beer and Wine Company! The Entrée: Perfection on a Plate For the main course, I opted for the Duck, and it was cooked to perfection. Seriously, melt in the mouth- tender meat was phenomenal. The plate presentation was stunning, far exceeding my expectations—it was a true work of art. The side of Grapefruit and Vinaigrette Salad was the perfect accompaniment. It was one of the best salads I have ever had in San Francisco; the brightness of the grapefruit cut through the richness of the duck beautifully. Desserts: Celebrating National Cocoa Day! To celebrate National Cocoa Day Dec. 13th-I couldn't resist. I highly suggest partaking in the Hot Chocolate for a decadent dessert item—it was rich, velvety, and a perfect holiday treat. And if you still have room, the Cheesecake with Brown Sugar is another truly fantastic dessert that offers a wonderful, comforting finish to the meal. NOPA is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination. The ambiance, the incredible staff like Zach, and the impeccable, thoughtful food quality solidify NOPA as a must-visit spot in San Francisco. It earns its place on any serious foodie's bucket list Cindy Lee Podcast Host at Bucket List Coach Web Show & Founder of Bucket List Coach Travel Tours“

“Really nice place with some great food. The charteruie board was great, the duck was fantastic and the drinks were great.
Unfortunately another guest got really drunk and started puking outside. I don't blame that on the restaurant or the staff, but just unlucky I guess.“

Btw Mr boss is a cool guy - he helped me replaced my first order because there was a misunderstanding of the item name with almost no questions asked and he also refilled my coffee without me asking for it (so rare nowadays)“

“Food was very good (!!) but as others have mentioned: the portions are too small and left me unsatisfied. I’m a petite woman from Europe and this is not even a European sized meal. Make it more expensive (because I understand ingredients are expensive) and normal size, this would be fine for me. This way it feels kind of like a joke when you see the food after arriving.
Edit: I had the avocado ricotta toast“

“One65 was an amazing discovery on our trip to San Francisco. Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?“

“Prospect pleasantly pleased palette-possibilities perfectly! 🙃 . . I opened with the Candace cocktail—Gin, Licor 43, St. Germaine, Peychaud’s and a citrus slice—flirted with my inner #Hedonist in a way that every cocktail should. Each sip sparkled with hints of sweet and sour with salacious depth. I find so much inspiration at the bottom of a glass… . . Then I went with my favorite protein, braised octopus; nested in squid ink gnocchi with an almond relish! It was a dope expression of land and sea in every bite. . . Followed, was the mushroom lasagna; layered with trumpets and truffles, dusted with lemon-shallot bread crumbles. It gave a béchamel-type flavor that was rich, luxurious and lingering. . . Finally—ending with the Scallops grounded in a Venetian black rice, sorrel butter and fennel sofrito! The sear was sensually done; perfectly caramelized Andy succulently sinful. . . Thank you Prospect for reinforcing the internal passion I have for gastronomy! 🗣 B R A V O ! .“

“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I am a business owner a few doors down and I wandered in with a friend after work one night about a month ago. We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.“

“Saison Retrospective Evaluation
Audit Date: February 2021
Dining at Saison in February 2021 showed how a high-end restaurant adapted during pandemic-era restrictions. To maintain seating, the restaurant constructed covered wooden parklets along the sidewalk. Eating inside a temporary wooden structure on a public street in the middle of winter felt unusual, though individual space heaters and overhead lighting kept the area reasonably comfortable.
While the outdoor setup was well-executed, it lacked the immersion of a standard indoor service. Peeking through the entryway offered a view of the hearth kitchen, where the culinary team operated under hanging herbs and copper cookware. The street-side experience was pleasant, but it left an open question as to what the baseline would look like within the main dining room.
The patio menu adjusted Saison’s fire-driven style into an outdoor format. The kitchen paired cold, raw coastal courses with the warmth of hearth smoke, a contrast that worked well given the winter temperature.
The outdoor setting did not compromise technical execution. The kitchen delivered clean textures throughout the meal, transitioning from delicate ocean elements to savory protein plates. The kitchen demonstrated good control over temperature and reduction work, which was visible across both the bread course and the glazing on the primary savory dishes. The meal concluded with a well-seared, evenly cooked wood-fired Wagyu beef course before shifting into a clean palate cleanser and a dessert featuring house-smoked dairy.
Documented via Check #0995, Table 37/2 at 8:25 PM on February 20, 2021. Two Saison Patio Menus at $178.00 each with two Wagyu supplements at $58.00 each.
The menu was accompanied by a bottle and glass pour of Trappist Achel Blond ale at $14.00, which provided a bitter profile that balanced the rich, smoky textures of the hearth cooking.“

“Service was impeccable. Music was a bit disjointed with a mix of hip hop and rap that didn't fit the vibe. Food was great but not 2 Michelin great, with a bit too much acid in each dish so things are on the sour side. Highlights were the duck, scallops and dessert.“

“Exceptional food and outstanding service! From the moment we arrived, John, the owner of The Richmond, made us feel incredibly welcome. He was funny, attentive, and remarkably generous throughout the evening and surprised us with extra dinner rolls (soooooo good), treated us to an unexpected dessert, and frequently checked in to ensure we were enjoying everything (including offering wine refills and/or to sample different selections).
What truly set the experience apart was John's thoughtful approach to wine pairing. Rather than simply recommending wines that complemented each dish, he took the time to understand our personal preferences and tailored his choices accordingly. It was clear that he genuinely cared about creating the best possible dining experience and did so without being pretentious in the slightest which I appreciated.
The food itself was awesome and the portions were surprisingly generous for a fine dining restaurant. By the end of the meal, we were so full that we could barely finish the last few bites (unexpected coffee ice cream with almond brittle set us over the limit).
We will absolutely be returning and are already looking forward to seeing what appears on the menu next. That said, we sincerely hope the roasted duck never gets removed!
Note: give John a heads up if you have any food allergies!“

“We were hungry, it was Memorial Day, we just left Best buy, and we walking down the street, and we noticed this place and it had a big window whiich caught our eye and we looked in and decided to check it out. We had our furbabie with us and he was welcomed too. We ordered something to eat and a drink and water for our furbabie. They had all different games to choose from and a pool table. We ate, we drank, we played Bingo and won a few games, we received, free drink tickets to use that evening, and gifts we picked from. The people that worked there were polite and friendly and the customers were friendly too. There were other furbabies hanging out too. We enjoyed ourselves and we will be back to visit. They have a variety of entertainment for each day of the week.“

“I was invited to Waterbar for a business dinner and was excited to finally visit a restaurant that had been on my list for quite some time. Our group was seated in a private dining room upstairs with access to an outdoor balcony overlooking the Bay.
San Francisco weather in June can be unpredictable, but we lucked out with a beautiful evening. The balcony, complete with its own bar, was the perfect spot for networking and conversation before dinner. The private dining room comfortably accommodated our group of about 30 people without ever feeling crowded.
Dinner was served as a prix fixe menu, which made the evening easy since no one had to spend time deciding what to order. Every course I tried was outstanding and exceeded my expectations. The food was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented.
Despite the size of our group, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly throughout the evening.
The restaurant itself is gorgeous, especially the main dining level with its impressive floor-to-ceiling fish tanks that add to the waterfront ambiance. Between the beautiful setting, excellent food, and outstanding service, Waterbar lived up to the hype. I'll definitely be back!“

“The restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. The environment is vibrant with warm lighting, rustic wooden tables, and friendly staff who will go out of their way to ensure you have a memorable visit. I ordered their famous lemon ricotta pancakes, which were perfectly fluffy, tangy, and served with crispy potatoes that were seasoned just right. The freshness of the ingredients really stood out, making every bite an absolute treat. What I loved most about dining at The Plough was the sense of community and comfort that one felt while dining. It's clear that the restaurant paid attention to every detail, from the decor to the presentation of the dishes, to create an inviting and enjoyable dining experience.“

“The Rustic is the best restaurant in San Francisco that you haven’t yet heard of. Whether you learn of it from this review or from your friends who won’t stop talking about it, you will hear about it eventually. The only question is if you will get in and try it before it’s crowded every day.
Between the staff, the ambiance, and the food, you can’t look anywhere without seeing the care and love being put into what they are building here. If you can’t see it, I’m sorry, but you’re either blind or just not looking hard enough.
Do yourself a favor and try the Porcini Ravioli. Their best dish in my opinion. Though, that is not to say the rest of their food is anything less than some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. The fried chicken is also to die for, both of which I got tonight.
They also are happy to accommodate family style dining, which was great when I was here one Wednesday with my family. By tomorrow night (Sunday) I’ll have been here three days this week, and I have absolutely no regrets about that decision. Every moment I spend here gives me the peace I’ve been looking for in this city.
If my review can’t convince you it’s worth it to try a good thing, then nothing will.“
