“One65 was an amazing discovery on our trip to San Francisco. Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). “Please don’t make stupid lines in other places maybe indicated as the “most popular”. The place, the food and the staff are amazing! Don’t waste your money, please try the Brazilian magic. The coffee, the eggs, the flavors are real!“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

A random young Indian man here tells me he worked for Elon Musk, then left Twitter, and now works for LinkedIn. He doesn’t read books but attends rare-book festivals and informs me about one where he will arrive at noon. He is still in touch with Musk but refuses to work at Tesla. He assures me of his success and his wellbeing. I almost asked him, “Then why are you at this roadside hole-in-the-wall eating dosa and striking up conversations with a stranger like me?”“

“Jane is my favorite bakery in San Francisco!! Wide variety of delicious pastries and amazing selection of bread - try the cardamom bun, pistachio strawberry Nutella tart and purple corn bread - also fresh salads and sandwiches.“

“There’s so many authentic Chinese places in San Francisco, but it’s hard to find the American-style Chinese food I grew up with in suburban Georgia. I finally found it here, this place really hits home for me. The general tso’s chicken is delicious, and so is the hot and sour soup. They have a great value lunch special, it’s $15 for the whole combo including rice, soup, and egg roll.

If you’ve been looking for good American style Chinese food in San Francisco, this is the best I have found yet. I will definitely be coming back!“

“Came here for a friend catchup and we got seated and had a reservation beforehand.

Good:
- The ramen came out very quickly - I got the classic ramen bowl
- The portion size was good - I was very full by the end
- A nice place to catch up - it's got japanese izakaya vibes and more dimly lit

Bad:
- The soup was really salty so it felt like it was unhealthy to drink too much of it

Overall this was a solid place to have an extended catch up and the ramen was quick and tasty.“

We had the banhmi and the chicken and waffle. The banhmi was ok. I preferred the chicken and waffle which was quite nice. For great Asian brunch my go-to place is kan kin in daily city.

I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years, sometimes 3+ times a month🙈🤣 I always get the chicken tikka masala & chicken Cho mein, (I ask for both Spicy but you can get any level of heat you prefer) & a side of the garlic naan. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu but those are my favorite! The owner has always been very accommodating, I’m a picky eater & this is one place I come and know I’m going to get a good meal.“

“Back in 2026 for the breakfast smash biscuit sandwich and the breakfast sandwich with ham and Gruyère. Both excellent; they put avocado in the smash biscuit for a vegetarian option at no extra cost. Really excellent food, service, and setting. 2023:Fun place and bakery with an interesting twist. The food has a Japanese accent with a euro-American base. We tried the breakfast sandwich and the egg salad. Both very good and different. The bakery items were fun. We had the matcha pandan and the pan de coco. Both excellent. The matcha in the pandan was subtle. The pan de coco was exquisite. Topped off with chrysanthemum tea and the strawberry lassi (very very sweet).“
