About Tartine Bakery

Tartine Bakery in San Francisco is a must-visit for food lovers, known for its fresh and delicious pastries. Standouts include their flaky morning bun, which is chewy and has a nice cinnamon sugar coating, as well as tasty quiche and croissants. The almond tart is incredible, with lots of flavors that work together but are not too sweet. The pastrami is a lesser-known delight, but well worth trying. The sourdough bread, particularly the buttermilk variety, is highly praised, though it sells out quickly, so arriving early is recommended. While popular and often crowded, the line moves quickly, and staff is friendly. This touristy spot also attracts locals who don't mind waiting. However, the seating is limited, and music can be loud. Prices are considered pricey, but the huge variety of fun pastry choices makes it worth a special trip. Some desserts, like the banana creme tart and chocolate eclair, may be a bit too sweet for certain tastes, but overall, the offerings are exceptional.

Morning bun and coffee... hard to think of a better start to the day
Maintains the feel of a local bakery despite the national reputation. I am not local so I try to visit when I am in the Bay Area.

To make sure that they didn’t run out of bread ordered a Country Loaf and a Sesame Whole Wheat ahead of time on the app. I stopped by for a great breakfast sandwich and picked up my to go bread.

Crowded on a Saturday morning, but worth it.
Best Sourdough Bread!!!!

Freshly baked bread
