“Seriously, good bakery, and seriously great people. It’s a neighborhood treasure. I went there for the first time today and I will definitely be going back.
I tried the peanut butter cookie and the baguette, and they were both excellent and my friend had some other loaves of bread and told me about all kinds of other Great stuff that he gets there regularly“

“Stopped by Arizmendi Bakery and picked up a brownie and sesame shortbread—both were absolutely fantastic! The brownie was rich and fudgy, while the sesame shortbread had the perfect blend of nuttiness and buttery goodness. They made a wonderful pairing with my tea at home, creating a cozy, indulgent treat.
Arizmendi continues to impress with their unique flavors and quality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious baked goods that feel both comforting and a bit special!“

“Absolutely charming spot! With amazing mid day light and refined antique aesthetic, they serve top notch coffee and baked goods. The environment is comfortable and unrushed. Babka, chocolate labneh cake, cream puffs and floral cakes, it's really hard to go wrong with the selection and quality.“

“I travel to France often so when I was in San Francisco and heard about this cafe from Red Blossom Tea Company because they sell some of their teas. It was like walking into a French cafe. I loved their baked goods options. I had a beurre cookie. Délicieux.“

The owners clearly care deeply about the needs of their customers. I've heard positive buzz about this bakery and finally stopped in to be thoroughly impressed. “delicious german bakery!
ordered the beesting cake and poppy seed roll
beesting cake: one of the best cakes I’ve ever had! the cream is so light and it pairs really well with the almond layer on top
good mix of textures and flavours + not too sweet!
poppy seed roll: expected poppy seed lemon flavour, but what made it really good was the crumble on top! it added a nice change in texture
the roll was very large for the price so it was a good snack for our picnic :-)“

“The place is buzzing with people.
I got:
1) black sesame guava brambleberry danish - this was really excellent. The texture of the sesame plus the jam was awesome!
2) breakfast sandwich - was kinda average, a bit dry
Excited to come back and try the Kaya toast!!“

“This is a nice spot worth trying. I like the croissants a good bit. The service has been very good too, and it’s got a nice vibe. Seems like a good spot to either hang out at the outdoor seating or working at a table inside.
I did deduct a star because the cold brew and lattes are a bit weak for my taste. Also, I’d prefer their breakfast sandwich had more seasoning and flavor. But, honestly, I chalk up my dissatisfaction to my preference for stronger coffee and more robust flavors. I’d still recommend giving them a shot as I think the overall quality of the service, ambiance, and food is above average. It’s also a popular spot with the locals, so I think you can trust the wisdom of the crowds.“

“Great cakes, but have been having issues calling their store lately. My orders somehow get sent to the wrong location and they can’t tell me how this is happening. I suggest asking which store you’re ordering from if you order over the phone.“

“Absolutely worth the hype. I've been looking for a good bagel place in SF for two years now and I'm so happy I finally found one. The bagels are crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside, and the whole bagel is coated with everything bagel seasoning (it's a pet peeve of mine when the seasoning is only on one side). I will be back many times!!“

“I love this place. It's a great integration of classic cantonese baked goods with modern baking sophistication. Her sponge cakes are consistently delicious; the flavour combinations work so well, my favorite is the black sesame jasmine. Today I got a mango passion fruit cheese tart that I inhaled; so creamy and yet light. A must visit on the weekends.“
“My favorite neighborhood bagel & breakfast stop. I always get their lox bagel sandwich and love that there are so many bagel flavors to choose from. The employees are so nice too. We love to stop here on our weekend morning walks, grab a bagel sandwich to go to eat at the tables across the street at Noe Valley Town Square.“

“The egg tarts here are smooth, creamy, and reasonably priced! Coffee comes as a dark roast, strongly flavored if you're into that. My Chinese parents have much good to say about the fundamental baked goods, the egg tarts, pineapple buns, and cocktail buns.“

“I got them as birthday presents from my sister. The presentation and details in the chocolates’ design are so cute! The chocolates are neatly wrapped, I’m amazed that it’s still good coming from San Francisco, CA to Boston, MA. I also loved the different tropical fruit flavors that complements the chocolates. Perfect for gifts!“

“Simply excellent bagels perfect texture and flavor. We bought lox and cream cheese to make bagel sandwiches at home and everything was fresh and delicious. The bagels freeze well too - just slice them while fresh, put them in an airtight container, and pop them in the toaster when you’re ready to eat!“
“I loved working with Elizabetta for my birthday cake. She was super easy to communicate with and perfectly nailed my barbie cake fantasy complete with a quote from the movie. The cake itself was a work of art but the taste, omg, all my friends were floored. I've also been able to find her slices at Falletti Foods and love all the flavors. I do, however, go crazy for her basque cheesecake. I could have a whole one in one sitting. So luscious, creamy and delicious!“

“Best dessert focused bakery in the city delivered with a smile and east coast efficiency. “First time coming here, you'll probably buy 1 of each (BBQ pork bun, pineapple with char siu bun, spam and egg bun, cocktail bun, and others). Second time coming here, you'll buy 7 BBQ pork buns because they're that tasty and you don't mind eating them for breakfast for a week.
Side note, if you want to buy curry buns like I did, come in the afternoon; that's when they make them (or so I was told).“

“I’ve had their croissants, sandwiches, and pastries (all good), but I just had a $2.50 Ciabatta roll from there and I can’t stop thinking about it. It hit the spot and would love to try their baguette and pizza dough next time! The bread is where it’s at!
They also have an adorable green outdoor patio space that transports you to a different dimension and time. Highly recommend!“

“This sweet shop is inside a Japanese market. The owners and staff are friendly. Their signature coffee crunch cake hits the spot! The cake is soft, and the sweetness is just right — it is the kind of cake you can indulge in without feeling sick due to the sugar content.“

“Fun little shop! In and out, pick your diabetes poison, pay cash or card, enjoy outside. I had my mind on ANY of the buns. Just waited in line for a sign. Something fresh was brought out, the guy ahead of us ordered 6, I asked what's that, they said "the real pineapple bun", of course we got it, and 2 mini mooncakes (pineapple and winter melon)!
Bun was warm, suger crust, and ooey gooey middle with Pina chunks! HEAVENLY
Not vegan, probably vegetarian. I took one full lactaid.“

“Without a doubt the best breakfast sandwiches on thee planet! I have referred a friend who said “it’s in a league of its own.” I will start with the buttery yet still flakey buttermilk biscuit. When you take a bite it’s just goes perfectly with the bacon and egg. It’s like a party in your mouth! They also have amazing blueberry & Apple cinnamon muffins that are unbelievably moist! The banana nut bread is just as fabulous. I can’t wait to go back and trie a scone. The best part is they also made fresh home made dog treats! So you can bring your friend along amd not feel bad eating your treats in front of him. While he looks droopy eyes. Your dog will love them too! We drive out from the eat bay(Pleasanton, ca) just to stop by!“

“Injeolmi (home made Korean rice sweet rice cake)croissant: The best thing about these injeolmi croissants, is that the rice cakes are wonderfully stretchy when they're warm, so you get that gooey "cheese pull" effect. (It's part of the kalbijjim croissant's appeal as well--and one of the reasons the bakery has a dedicated oven for reheating pastries.)
Croffle: a delightful light snack with a sweet glazed waffle crust hiding buttery soft & chewy croissant layers within.
The honeycomb latte will melt the honeycomb crumble and make it sweeter over time. Just eat the crumble to stop sweetening the drink.“

“So nice to see a gluten free bakery making items like croissants! I had an olive, ham and cheese roll, and the pain au chocolat. Other than the fact that they weren't warm (it was late afternoon and they'd likely sat in the case since the morning), they tasted very good. I really appreciated the pain au chocolat -- the dough had that golden, buttery baked color to it that gluten free flours have a hard time achieving. Is it as good as the gluten/wheat flour croissant? No, but when your allergies can't allow you to have that, this is a happy discovery in its place. Do they ship to Canada, by chance???“

“The best babka I've ever had. Incredible texture, chocolate quality, and baking skills on presentation here. I would go so far to say this babka is an achievement on the levels of the great SF bakeries (Tartine, Jane, b. patisserie). As an at home chef, I know how hard making things to scale can be and I commend the owner for scaling something this special.
Had a picnic with the babka pie, cake, and rolls. Cardamom, chocolate and hazelnut, and pumpkin. My personal favorite was the chocolate but everyone in my group had a different favorite. You can't go wrong at this wonderful bakery!“

“Honest, down-to-earth coffee with normal prices and if you're lucky like we were, a few neighbors sit together at the next table and talk about their everyday lives, which makes everything real and endearing. The coffee and cake were very good and the whole thing without shouting names, some of you will probably know what I mean.
Opposite is a park where you can watch Thai Chi groups and a few steps away is a great church, Peter and Paul, worth a visit if you like it.“

“I've come here for over two decades now. I love to come here for the har gow. The best I've had anywhere hands down. The other dumplings are also really good as well as the congee. I wouldn't say the sweet pastries are all that good though. The staff are very efficient but minimal on the charm as is common with these kinds of places. Finally they brought back seating after many many years without it due to covid. Cash only.“

“As a comparison to other major wholesale suppliers (who also do retail) in San Francisco, Acme is tier 1, but at a price. You’ll find Semifreddi’s to be a par-baked version (that you can finish at home quickly, for a fresher texture and flavor) at a lower price (though not organic, like Acme) — these two are about the only brands at a grocer that I’d recommend.
Whatever you do, Boudin — which is underwhelming and expensive — can be easily skipped. Even Paul Hollywood was rightly disappointed in his youtube trip to San Francisco (it’s a good episode in its own right). Their bread is made into various shapes to distract from its middling quality.
Since no one has actually posted a retail menu, I’ve contacted them and done so here. (Their on-site menu is comprosed of little signs in each bread). It’s updated as of 1/1/24.
Prices seem to have increased 25-80% since covid, but I understand. As I assume that they pay reasonable wages to boot.“

“really to die for bread!!! i got:
- the daily special: labneh, broccolini, mint, and chilli crisp
- toad in the hole: poached egg, garlic sage butter
both to die for, though i’ll note the bread gets kinda burnt in the back. but it’s okay because the taste is still great.
will be back for the black pepper parmesan bun & one of the sweet toasts!“

“I have been on the hunt for a good concha for months and this might have been one of the best concha I've ever had. Staff was friendly and explained some of the desserts I was unfamiliar with. While I can agree with some of the other reviews that the price is higher than most bakeries, I had no problem paying it because of the quality and taste was superior to other bakeries I've had.“

“Went here on a Wednesday morning 20 minutes after opening. Wasn't busy and no lines. Parking wasn't too difficult to find.
Loved the old school, no-frill vibes of the shop. They sold merchandise, olive oil, cans of tomato sauce, their own dough on the counter. I ordered a pizza focaccia and for the size you get it's absolutely worth it. The dough itself is very soft, fluffy and bready while the ingredients didn't exactly have a pizza flavor, but it was still delicious. I lightly toasted it a few days afterwards and I loved how it came out.
Overall, a staple in the neighborhood for a reason. Homemade goodness. Good customer service. Highly recommend going.“
