A really enjoyable bakery experience in San Francisco. I liked the variety of pastries and the relaxed atmosphere. Everything I tried tasted fresh, and I left with a few things to take home.
Perfect focaccia thickness. Check the hours & go early. It’s an SF institution, tucked into historic North Beach. Try the raisin focaccia for a breakfast treat. It’s an instant trip to Italy!
Best focaccia I’ve ever had. I make it a pilgrimage when I visit the city to get my bread there. Get there early or wait in a line potentially. I buy 5 loaves when I go. Eat one during the day and freeze the rest. $10 each as of 8/2026. Expensive but worth it. Rosemary/Garlic is the win.

Customers love the pizza and raisin focaccia, as well as the rosemary garlic focaccia. Be prepared for a cash-only transaction, but it's worth the trip for a taste of their amazing baked goods. They often sell out of popular products, so it's best to get there early, as they will close shop once sold out. Despite the early closure, the staff remains friendly, even on busy Saturdays when they stay open late to finish up with customers.
