I can't believe I've lived in San Francisco my entire life and hadn't had Liguria's focaccia until last month. I came in right before 9:00am on a Tuesday and was able to get three slabs of the pizza focaccia ($9 each), which is what my colleague who grew up in North Beach recommended, to bring to the office. It was easily one of the best focaccia I've ever had! No wonder they typically sell out well before they close for the day. I'll definitely be back to try the other kinds. Note: they're cash only.

THE source for the BEST focaccia!!! Definitely worth a side trip to North Beach! I learned about this place from my wonderful cooking teacher many years ago, Joan Wood, who grew up in this neighborhood.

They sell out early so order ahead. Saturday is the only day with pesto. Mg favorite is the cheddar jalapenk and rosemary garlic!

Best focaccia in the city! Get there early and expect a line, but it's always worth it!!

Just tried for first time. Cheese / jalapeño was so good. Trying the pizza next. Get there early, they sell out. Live the classic paper and string packaging

One word Focaccia. That's it. That's what they do and they do it at an elite level. If you hate bread then this place isn't for you. If you have an appreciation for soft baked items with a no frills approach then this is it. Beautiful in its simplicity. The menu is simple, the idea is simple, the prices are simple. The flavor? Anything but simple. Liguria is an SF staple... a North Beach strong hold. A place stuck in time. I had the pizza style bread. I had it cold, I air fried it and got it crispy and I tried it microwaved. I suggest a nice toasty air fry. Does that break focaccia bread laws? I'm not sure. But it was elevated. If Focaccia bread means anything to you, then get on your high horse and get over here. (4.5 Stars)

Hands down THE best focaccia bread I've ever had. I didn't believe the reviews until I had my first bite. Went on a Tuesday at 9am and the mushroom flavor was already sold out. Favorite is absolutely the pizza - the sauce and bread and how the two fit together is simply unreal. The best favorite is probably rosemary and garlic then onion. I will brave one day and wake up early Saturday morning for the pesto and cheese!!

Simply the best focaccia on the planet. That includes Italy. Make sure to get there early, once they sell out, it's gone.

Finally re-opened after a fire I think. This place sells out around noonish. So I am rarely in North Beach before that. Today we had to get up early to go to the new hot bakery Butter & Crumble, so we were passing this on the way back home. One could judge me and say "you just came back from a bakery, you don't need more carbs" But when on the carb train, ride it. We got 2 focaccia's and a loaf of the (even more elusive) soft fluffy white bread (one of 3 loaves left at 9:30am). The bread was the star of the show it is so fluffy and yeasty and good. I ate the heal en route to home and then sliced the rest and popped it in the freezer. ALSO - if you are a tourist looking for a unique souvenir, get a liguria Bakery t-Shirt - they even have some that look like 49ers gear.

Best focaccia bread I've ever had, seriously. You know the place is on point when they have short business hours and there is a line outside all the time. Highly recommend! Favorites are the Pizza, Garlic, and Jalapeño Chedder (sells out fast). Owners of the shop are super friendly and helpful.

The best focaccia! Smells like stepping inside a loaf of bread! Personal favorites: Onion, Rosemary & Pizza. The fresh made pizza dough is delicious too!

I love this bakery, there is no better bakery on the West Coast of the US for focaccia. It is literally just as my southern Italian grandmother used to make. When I walk into that store, its like walking back in time into my long-departed, beloved grandmother's kitchen. Thank you Liguria Bakery!

If you go to Liguria Bakery - you know what you're getting in to. You're getting exceptional focaccia, with limited supply, in a no-frills shop. More than likely the flavor you want will be sold out, so get whatever they have and be happy you snagged some focaccia. My favorite is the Rosemary or the Garlic. The times I've been the service has been quick and friendly. I love the way they cut the focaccia into slices and wrap it up in parchment paper for your travels.

I have to agree with Franks comment. The Focaccia fell short and I feel it could have to do with the new oven. Hopefully they fine tune it.
