This bakery is the place of my dreams. No joke. As an Asian American, what is better than a bakery that sells well-known pastries w/ an Asian twist?? The black sesame cream puff......is to die for. I am a black sesame lover and it exceeded my expectations. Best cream puff I've ever had. The kalbijjim croissant was a cool idea, I think it would've been yummier fresh (and warm)! Overall....definitely a bakery I'd come back to!!
I visited Jina Bakes during the recent Cherry Blossom Festival and it was a treat! Despite the long line, it moved pretty fast. I missed out on the Matcha Cream Puffs, but the Banoffee Croissant, Basque Cheesecake, Matcha Butter Mochi, Dalgona Candy Lollipop from Squid Game, and Kalbijjim Croissant did not disappoint. As a Korean-American, I hate Korean fusion or Korean flavor/influenced food. But, please TRUST when I say the kalbijjim pastry is soooo good. I thought it'd suffice because I needed something thick to take with my meds. I was pleasantly surprised as it was not heavy, nor was it excessively sweet.
