“Very yummy stuff at this cafe! A little on the pricy side, but it's san francisco so it's typical prices for the town. Very good pastries and small sandwiches. I got one of their savory crepes and it was great! Highly recommend if you're visiting fisherman's wharf to also visit this cafe!“

“The first time I came here I ordered the special pandan coffee and it was a little watery and I could taste the coffee, and the pandan was overpowering but I tried it again this week and I really enjoyed it. I felt like the coffee was really aromatic and I could taste the pandan as well.
I also love how the staff here are really sweet and accommodating and there is enough space to sit and relax“

“So good! I got the pork rice plate to go and took it to Golden gate park to eat it. The milk tea was ok, not sure if it’s the best tea quality but ordered it because I didn’t have water with me. TLDR the food is really good I highly recommend“

“Food was very good (!!) but as others have mentioned: the portions are too small and left me unsatisfied. I’m a petite woman from Europe and this is not even a European sized meal. Make it more expensive (because I understand ingredients are expensive) and normal size, this would be fine for me. This way it feels kind of like a joke when you see the food after arriving.
Edit: I had the avocado ricotta toast“

“This place serves the best breakfast in san francisco for a great price.
Cash only or venmo so be prepared.
Bagels and croissants are both delicious. I havent had any drinks from here yet as I just make tea at home. Its really popular here though so I imagine their drinks are as good as the food.
Ive tried the asiago bagel with a Lil mayo, bacon egg and cheese as well as the croissant with sausage egg and cheese and hot sauce. Highly recommend the hot sauce here, it doesnt taste like a hot sauce ive had before. Its a little sweet and not too spicy or vinegary. I got one of each today for 11.75. I didnt know if I should tip via venmo, so I didnt, so ill bring extra cash next time.
Even if I didnt live as close as i do, id come here.
The only downside is there is no place to sit. Its intended to get your breakfast needs and scoot scoot.“

“Chemine is a beautiful coffee shop that serves a variety of deserts, sandwiches, salads, and bread items.
The interior is a very high quality work of interior design and craftsmanship. The rooms are very creatively designed. The hard work that it took to fashion this dining establishment is commendable.“
“This place was so sweet. There's a beautiful mural inside and the chairs are incredibly comfortable.
My server helped me pick a drink because I usually don't do hot drinks, but it was a cold morning. She was so sweet about it and the drink we landed on was delicious (the pistachio lime really is fantastic, you can really appreciate the complexity of the flavor combination when it's served hot.) I didn't try any of their food, but it smelt very good.
The vibes are delightful. They seem very community oriented, and the next trip I make up to San Francisco I will definitely be stopping in again.“

“Its a quiet coffee place at the corner of the street. I got biscoff cake which was basically a tres leches topped with powdered Biscoff and the biscuit. Its very sweet and I'd recommend you share it with someone (or not if you feel adventurous lol).
I also got a black coffee and it was moderately hot. I personally don't like very hot drinks so it was perfect for me.
My friend and I spent almost an hour here chatting! I saw some people were on dates and some people were working on the laptop.
Perfect place to go on a date or just read a book / work.
10/10 recommended for the vibes and food!“
“# The Registry: Field Report - The Coffee Movement
The streets of the Richmond District are quiet, but it’s the kind of quiet that makes a guy nervous. I needed a jolt, something to wire the mainframe and keep me sharp while I waited for a contact who was already twenty minutes late. I found myself staring down a joint called The Coffee Movement.
They don’t mess around here. No velvet armchairs, no jazz softly weeping from hidden speakers. Just a stark, black slatted metal table out on the unforgiving concrete and a product that speaks for itself.
Observe the photographic record. Exhibit A: The hot cup. Matte black, business-like, adorned with a clean, unassuming white logo. But look at the straw protruding from the lid. It stands at attention, straight and tall, a white plastic periscope scanning the neighborhood for approaching trouble. It’s an oddly formal arrangement for a paper cup.
Exhibit B: The espresso. They pulled the lid off so I could see the engine room. The crema was a thick, rich amber—a perfect, unbroken ring clinging to the sides of the cup, hiding a dark, bitter truth beneath. It stared back at me with the intensity of a loan shark waiting for his envelope. I took a hit. It was smooth, aggressive, and entirely necessary.
Exhibit C: The iced latte. My contact finally showed, gripping a clear plastic cup filled with a pale, milky beige liquid. It looked like the kind of sweet, approachable beverage a person drinks when they don’t have a care in the world. I didn't trust it, but she held it like it was the only thing keeping her grounded on a windy San Francisco afternoon.
Five stars. It’s a clean operation. They hit you with the caffeine, skip the small talk, and put you right back on the pavement where you belong. Just watch your back while you sip; that black metal table leaves you completely exposed to the elements and whoever might be tailing you.“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“One65 was an amazing discovery on our trip to San Francisco. Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?“

“I have loved this cafe since 2003 when I lived on Coleridge St and would have my salmon wrap every weekend. Such a cosy cafe with a beautiful courtyard. I’ve been home in Australia for many years now, but every time I’m in CA, I make an effort to get to Progressive Grounds for my salmon wrap. No one makes it like you do. I can’t even make it the way you do. Beautiful people, great service, and a very atmospheric cafe not like anywhere else on the other side of the world. I’ve been looking. So grateful you are still there. Looking forward to my next salmon wrap!“

“We’re just strolling in the area and I found charms coffee I purchased their Matcha and breakfast burrito. Let me tell you their breakfast burrito and Matcha was amazing. Their breakfast burrito comes with egg cheese potato, and the meat choices was chorizo and bacon. I opted out for the meat options and chose avocado. But their potato in the burrito was amazing. They don’t deep fry it which I appreciate. The Matcha was so good. I’m glad that they don’t mix sugars in their Matcha cause most places do and I use.“

“I just discovered this place and it’s such a hidden gem! Ariana who works at the front is so lovely and literally memorized my name after I had gone maybe 2-3 times. The coffee is super high quality (reminds me of Saint Franks) and is in a lovely little hidden corner. I’m definitely a regular now!“

“One of my favorite places in the Castro to get coffee. The people are friendly, the selection of beans is wonderful, and the service is superb. They provide a great spot for people to gather, sit and people watch. Castro is lucky to have such thoughtful businesses as this that work hard to provide quality service and make the experience of being there special. I hope they stay around a long time.“
“First, their espresso and matcha drinks are fantastic. Second, the humans that operate Hedge are down-to-earth, thoughtful, kind, and friendly. And that feeling permeates through everything from the quirky-yet-cozy outdoor seating, to the way they take care of you when you visit. They're authentic people and they genuinely want you to enjoy your beverage and your visit -- and they're great at helping you do both! A lovely place to be, even if only for the time it takes to say hey and pickup a cup of Joe. Shout-outs to Olga, Alex, Kyle, Wei Ling, Billy, and the friends I haven't yet met! P.S. Delicious pastries too!!“

Can't wait to go again soon and enjoy the outside seating at Clement Street on a sunny day.
Oh, and get the Karl the Fog cappucino! I'm usually not a sweet drink person, but it was the perfect balance of sweet mixed with the earl grey tea.“

“the menus posted everywhere help you decide what to get so you don't hold everyone up once you're at the counter. super cramped, crazy busy, couldn't really move much but you'd still have to eek your way tighter together so people could leave, since there was only one entrance/exit. waited in line for about 10 minutes while everyone tried to sort out how to form lines in such a small space. the staff is attentive to who's next in line though, and are really welcoming and helpful once you finally get to the counter. i got the ube salt bread and the hojicha latte. they were so so worth the wait. the ube cream inside was the perfect level of sweetness, and the salt on top balanced everything out. amazing squishy texture, tons of cream in every bite. the latte was delicious as well. i highly recommend coming here.“
