“Interesting secret location. Seems to mostly be for the office building tenants but also comes in handy for marina visitors and tenants. A bit pricy for a tiny selection too.
No drip coffee too early or late but they will make espresso drinks any time.“

“Very yummy stuff at this cafe! A little on the pricy side, but it's san francisco so it's typical prices for the town. Very good pastries and small sandwiches. I got one of their savory crepes and it was great! Highly recommend if you're visiting fisherman's wharf to also visit this cafe!“

“The first time I came here I ordered the special pandan coffee and it was a little watery and I could taste the coffee, and the pandan was overpowering but I tried it again this week and I really enjoyed it. I felt like the coffee was really aromatic and I could taste the pandan as well.
I also love how the staff here are really sweet and accommodating and there is enough space to sit and relax“

“We visited Banh Mi Crunch after breakfast at Mimosa's -- my Daughter is a Boba Tea Junky.
The lady serving us was very nice and helpful.
The Thai Milk Iced Tea was pre-mixed (usually a non-starter for me) and was very sweet. Daughter loved it, me not so much. While convenient for the restaurant, feel its better to not have a pre-mixed thai tea so the customer can adjust the level of sweetness.“

“On a recent visit to SF I had brunch with my son. Without a doubt the best food I’ve had in a long long time. The great food quality was what really got to me. I’m from the Caribbean so I need spice and flavor in my food and the flavors were so unique and interesting and the owner and her Chef hubby were so fun and genuinely nice people.
I had absolutely no notes.“

“It’s an amazing small cafe with food outside to help people who are struggling as well as fresh food, and even grocery’s inside that you can purchase! The Thai iced tea is so good, and it’s the only place I go for Thai iced tea. It’s super popular among my friends at school, and the staff are so nice and understanding. Amazing place 👍
Had to edit review to 5 stars, don’t know why I had it at 4 stars 4 years ago!“

“Della Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops! I especially love coming in the morning. The girls are always so welcoming, friendly, and smiling, which makes the experience even better. The drinks are always made perfectly, and the service is consistently excellent.
The atmosphere is amazing—the music, the vibe, and the overall energy of the place make it such a cozy and enjoyable spot. I always leave with a great coffee and a good mood. Highly recommend!“
“This place was so sweet. There's a beautiful mural inside and the chairs are incredibly comfortable.
My server helped me pick a drink because I usually don't do hot drinks, but it was a cold morning. She was so sweet about it and the drink we landed on was delicious (the pistachio lime really is fantastic, you can really appreciate the complexity of the flavor combination when it's served hot.) I didn't try any of their food, but it smelt very good.
The vibes are delightful. They seem very community oriented, and the next trip I make up to San Francisco I will definitely be stopping in again.“

“# The Registry: Field Report - The Coffee Movement
The streets of the Richmond District are quiet, but it’s the kind of quiet that makes a guy nervous. I needed a jolt, something to wire the mainframe and keep me sharp while I waited for a contact who was already twenty minutes late. I found myself staring down a joint called The Coffee Movement.
They don’t mess around here. No velvet armchairs, no jazz softly weeping from hidden speakers. Just a stark, black slatted metal table out on the unforgiving concrete and a product that speaks for itself.
Observe the photographic record. Exhibit A: The hot cup. Matte black, business-like, adorned with a clean, unassuming white logo. But look at the straw protruding from the lid. It stands at attention, straight and tall, a white plastic periscope scanning the neighborhood for approaching trouble. It’s an oddly formal arrangement for a paper cup.
Exhibit B: The espresso. They pulled the lid off so I could see the engine room. The crema was a thick, rich amber—a perfect, unbroken ring clinging to the sides of the cup, hiding a dark, bitter truth beneath. It stared back at me with the intensity of a loan shark waiting for his envelope. I took a hit. It was smooth, aggressive, and entirely necessary.
Exhibit C: The iced latte. My contact finally showed, gripping a clear plastic cup filled with a pale, milky beige liquid. It looked like the kind of sweet, approachable beverage a person drinks when they don’t have a care in the world. I didn't trust it, but she held it like it was the only thing keeping her grounded on a windy San Francisco afternoon.
Five stars. It’s a clean operation. They hit you with the caffeine, skip the small talk, and put you right back on the pavement where you belong. Just watch your back while you sip; that black metal table leaves you completely exposed to the elements and whoever might be tailing you.“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“One65 was an amazing discovery on our trip to San Francisco. Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?“

“If you’re trying their signature Miso Caramel Latte, may I recommend going with the iced latte option? While the hot latte is still good, the umami-ness of miso and the contrast of the flavors is much more pronounced in the iced latte version.“

“Ariana is absolute perfection! The espresso-grade coffee here is incredible, but honestly, Ariana's warmth and energy are what make this place a must-visit every single time.
My only wish list item for management: Please add breakfast burritos to the menu, and join the movement to stop charging extra for oat milk!“

“The Fillmore Sweep: Strategy and Caffeine at Compton’s
The afternoon sun was cutting right through the glass storefront of Compton’s Coffee House on Fillmore, bouncing off the sleek wooden counters like a spotlight. It’s a busy, sharp, independent neighborhood operation—regulars spilling out onto the wooden benches outside with their dogs, while the interior runs on high-efficiency espresso pulls.
The miniature anarchist and I took a spot near the back counter, positioned directly under a rather cubist, geometric oil painting of a solitary pigeon that looked like it was auditing our conversations. She was taking a tactical break from her usual high-grade pastry targets, demanding a sweet afternoon fluid instead.
We laid out our orders to keep the afternoon moving smoothly.
For me, a single shot of decaf espresso in a standard-issue paper cup—clean, robust, and expertly pulled with zero bitter edge. For the anarchist, an iced vanilla latte layered beautifully over thick blocks of ice. The espresso float mingled perfectly with the sweet vanilla cream, providing the exact hit of sugary momentum she required to plan her next neighborhood campaign.
The layout inside is wonderfully clean—towering stacks of pristine paper cups lined up behind the glass case like architectural pillars, shelves stocked with clean chemical pour-over kits, and a team behind the counter that handles the heavy peak-hour rush with smooth, absolute precision.
**The Verdict:** Compton’s is a flawless, five-star neighborhood asset on the Fillmore beat. The coffee quality is premium, the atmosphere balances a bustling neighborhood energy with a cool, artistic edge, and the drinks are crafted with zero technical errors. It's the perfect drop-point to refuel your wits before heading back out into the city fog.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars.“

“I have loved this cafe since 2003 when I lived on Coleridge St and would have my salmon wrap every weekend. Such a cosy cafe with a beautiful courtyard. I’ve been home in Australia for many years now, but every time I’m in CA, I make an effort to get to Progressive Grounds for my salmon wrap. No one makes it like you do. I can’t even make it the way you do. Beautiful people, great service, and a very atmospheric cafe not like anywhere else on the other side of the world. I’ve been looking. So grateful you are still there. Looking forward to my next salmon wrap!“

“We’re just strolling in the area and I found charms coffee I purchased their Matcha and breakfast burrito. Let me tell you their breakfast burrito and Matcha was amazing. Their breakfast burrito comes with egg cheese potato, and the meat choices was chorizo and bacon. I opted out for the meat options and chose avocado. But their potato in the burrito was amazing. They don’t deep fry it which I appreciate. The Matcha was so good. I’m glad that they don’t mix sugars in their Matcha cause most places do and I use.“

“I'm so happy I stopped here for a meal! The chef/owner was very kind and the food tasted homey. I had a veggie combo and it was portioned well with the variety. Their spiced tea was soothing and had a good balance. She was very thoughtful and added a packet of black tea on the side since I had asked for coffee earlier and their machine was down that day. I would love to come back. Thank you!“
