“[grain of salt] I love Peet's, and unless given a reason to do otherwise, I will always rate them five stars. This location has a nice spacious interior, a decent amount of outside tables, parking is always great on their side of the lot (though I wish there was more than one way to exit it), and I've never had a problem with my orders or the service. And if that weren't enough, you can hit up Sweet Things bakery a few doors down for some fairly amazing (though pricey) Russian coffee cake.“
“I think I ate every“ wow that’s great banhmi! “ spot around lately and ;Pork banhmi = warm bread , well seasoned! ? I would put just little bit of more veggies to balance the meat and veggie ratio or add chunky peanut sauce which makes a perfect bite to swallow in every time.Egg rolls are served warm and I like that the fish sauce has the right density& salt.Ps. Don’t forget to watch rolling the king roll 101 video that I haven’t record yet lol -(yes pretty much joint rolling but better)“
“Excellent service and delicious food. Really loved the freshness of the crudo and the sandwich was very rich and perfect for sharing. Obviously great wine with a good selection of glasses and bottles available. Best to make a reservation because it's on the small side but definitely with a try.“
“The best dessert/ice cream in San Francisco and an absolute gem in sf. Hilas caffe is your one stop for Italian desserts- gelato, cakes, pastries- and Italian coffee.Hila’s gelato is absolutely amazing- perfect texture, light, not too sweet. The pistachio and saffron flavors are perfect. Her espresso is also great! There’s also all kinds of Italian pastries and desserts… including a pistachio cornetto, my favorite pastry in the world! Cornettos are similar to croissants (but imo, lighter, less sweet and just better). For 9 months, I’ve been trying to find a pistachio cornetto in San Francisco like the one I had while visiting Italy without success. I finally found it at Hila’s and it was perfect, filled with pistachio cream. I wish I took a picture.Hila herself is so funny and kind- and patiently practiced speaking Italian with me.Her space is in a lovely part of mission near Dolores park and has a few seats inside. If I lived closer, I’d probably come every day ;)Grazie Mille Hila :)“
“Went to a fun chocolate tasting "date night" event at a local chocolate shop in San Francisco. Got to learn more about the effort that goes into every step of the chocolate making process, from sourcing chocolate made from the rare heirloom variety of single origin cacao beans, to the structural integrity of the chocolate, to the creative symphony of flavors and textures. Carol, the head chocolatier and founder of Kokak Chocolates, has managed to bring all of these details together into delicious, fine chocolates and sweets. The chocolate outer layer is made with 70% chocolate. It's very smooth and well balanced. We got to try their most recent batch, called Hearts on Fire, and they were tropical and delightful: -Guava Crisp -Passion Paradise -Cafe Au Lait We also enjoyed a yummy champorado shooter, which is a Filipino chocolate rice porridge. Their brownies were melt-in-your-mouth good.“
“I tried baguette, puff pastry brioche and fig tartlet. The baguette was nothing more, the brioche was hollow rancid but it must have been an accident since the others are delighted with it and after informing the shop I got a refund which is very kind and fair play. The tartlet was divine and I dream of tasting it again but since I don't live nearby, I never found it on the right day, even via Doordash. In short, give it a try and if you are disappointed, don't hesitate to talk to them directly about it, they are open people.“
“The best donut I have ever had. Cannot be beat! Cash only but super affordable and the Woman behind the counter has the most calming voice I have ever heard. Honestly though; I have had a lot of donuts in my life and this was far and away the best.Kid-friendliness: They were very kind and patient with many kids and teens (accompanied and unaccompanied) that came in.Wheelchair accessibility: No step to get inside but is a little small. It’s possible to get a wheelchair in but may not be super comfortable“
“We love everything about One65 but this was our first Bistro visit. Impeccable, relaxed, attentive service. They offer a choice of seating, either in the dining room or at the counter overlooking the culinary crew, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Food was artfully and perfectly prepared. Sommelier service magnificent. We will return for more!“
“No reservation for brunch or lunch, only for dining. It's a first come first serve with standing line to order and find a seat yourself. Good thing is that the place is huge with possibility of seats.Make sure you order all you want at once. Can't fix or add anything when you sit.Breads, pastries are really good. Mushroom soup was a bit thick and spicy more like a mushroom sauce (later used for steaks maybe!) but delicious.Fig & honey pudding was ??.Not good for groups/gatherings/seniors/kids. Good for couples, quick meetups, <4 groups. Parking could be a bit hassle due to popularity but there are many free street parking around.Parking: Many free street parking around but may be difficult find a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: No easy accessibility. No ramps with many stairs.“
“I can see why this place has 5 stars. Very friendly staff and very clean, the food was delicious and the OJ was very unique. I had the breakfast sando with croissant. Also had the potatoes very delicious. Would like to see an ALL Organic plate instead of only some items for the price but overall very tastey.“
“My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Hahdough bakery to supply the cakes for our wedding. They were wonderful to work with and helped us to pick out the right 4 different cakes. Delivery was seamless and they worked with the venue for a timely drop-off. Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the cakes were! It was a great way to offer our guests multiple options while being super affordable compared to traditional wedding cakes. Not to mention that the cakes were beautiful (see photos).“
“Il Canto Cafe is pretty awesome. Hella convenient for me because my office is upstairs. Back in the day, this used to be a Tully's coffee. To the right of it used to be a pretty busy Chinese restaurant. All that is gone now. This morning I got really hungry and weren't quite ready for lunch yet. The guy said good morning to me when I went out for a cigarette, so I decided to try their breakfast croissant (cheese egg sausage) $7. It was tasty! It hit the spot and I was ready for work again. Take-out service was excellent.“
“The space is small, and the tables are on top of each other . It’s cool it’s open late. See,Ed a bit dirty the floors and table, and some shady people homeless in and out. The Yemeni tea was absolute rocket fuel. Had me productive for hours lol . Cleanliness and lay out need to be worked in a bit here. The window bar is small on. Fits 1 maybe two people comfortably with laptop and coffee.Vegetarian options: There are noneDietary restrictions: No gluten free options or vegan sad.“
“Latte art can't decide a good coffee, but can tells you at least they are serious about coffee. Here we have both good latte art and coffee. You can taste a perfect balance between bold coffee touches and sweetness. Not sure if it all tastes the same, but this morning I tasted walnuts and candy in it. The chocolate croissant is also perfect. Too bad they don't have enough space so you might have to line in the street for a while. But it will worth it.“
“We tried a bunch of coffee in this area, this one by the best one out of all of them. The croissant with chocolate was really good and we tried special coffee with coco y choco, which really good and my sister tried the cafe con morro which was good too but we found ourselves to be more of the coco choco gals. The cute lady behind the counter was very friendly and helpful in explaining things to us, the cafe is nice and spacious and clean. You want good coffee stop by here“
“a perfect third place! this fairly new soma cafe sets itself apart with an inviting atmosphere and vibes perfect for lounging by yourself or catching up with friends. there’s ample seating on couches, tables, or by the bar while piano instrumentals quietly play in the background. owned by a lovely korean couple, you can tell the attention to detail they put into this place, also serving some pretty good drinks! be sure to look on their insta for the latest live piano eventsmatcha latte: no complaints, a tasty latte! love the touch of the piano stencil“
“This place is great! A great alternative to the common taqueria style Mexican dishes you’ll find throughout the mission. In my top 3 of Mexican places in SF. I predict it’s only a matter of time before this places blows up and has overwhelming lines! Which would be a good thing! ?“
“This has become our go-to cake for our birthdays, and we love it! The chocolate imperial cake is our favorite and it is a chocoholics dream. I never share it with anyone because it so darn tasty! It is pricier than a lot of other cake places, but well worth the money for a special occasion.“
“So this was probably the best smoked salmon sandwich I had in my life so far. The Brazilian cream cheese is so good with the salmon! The coffee with milk didn't need sugar, it's just so refreshing on its own.I tried a small bite of the Veggie omelet, and the tapioca crepe is so good, and the omelet is even better.Highly recommended at the fisherman's wharf, with a order by number service, in a good location, I'm gonna say you have to try it here!Vegetarian options: You can get vegetarian options that are clearly marked. Pretty sure you can make minor substitutions, but you'll have to ask!“
“The staff here are so delightful! This is a nice place to work since they have wifi + outlets (a rarity compared to other coffee shops). They play oldies that aren’t overly busy, which contributes to the overall charming + chill atmosphere. Wished there were more savory options (veggie plates? chicken and pesto sandwiches? egg + cheese bagels?) since I can’t eat ham (their current only savory option). Loved the brownie bites ?. Would like to see more seating and expanded menu options.“
“This place is truly a diamond that doesn't get enough attention! We have been coming to World Green Acai since they have opened 4 years ago. Authentic Acai is hard to find and World Green does not disappoint! This is not a fast food restaurant. The care and effort to make high quality authentic Brazilian food is the ethos of the owners. Have patience and you will be rewarded with a delicious unique and authentic Brazilian food experience. It's true that folks travel from all over the Bay Area just to experience the food and environment of World Green Acai.“
“I've tried espresso beans from a number of different local roasters. I'm so happy that I've finally found one near my home which has beans that are consistently great quality. The range of unique drinks that they make, awesome. I go in and get something different pretty much any time I get a new bag, or any time I'm passing by for that matter!“
“Best breakfast burrito of my life hands down. The tater tots were crispy, eggs were flavorful and not dry, tortilla was warm and fresh. What a fantastic burrito. Also had a delicious piña fresa agua fresca. On top of the great food they are able to churn out orders so even though it was very busy the wait wasn’t bad at all.“
“Living nearby, we consistently choose this spot for its unbeatable combination of food variety, prices, and exceptional staff. The open kitchen concept is a highlight, showcasing the chefs' remarkable speed and coordination. While weekends can get busy due to its popularity and small size, the overall dining experience never disappoints.Highly recommended for a satisfying meal close to home or if visiting SF!“
“Great spot for excellent coffee, friendly baristas and a pure SF vibe to it all. Besides coffee and pastry offerings, Cafe Suspiro has a well curated selection of books and vinyl to shop. It’s a cafe definitely worth going out of the way for.“
“Best pineapple buns in the Bay Area!!! It’s definitely worth the wait and the buns are reasonably priced. The buns are delicious with a flaky crust and a soft fluffy interior—I usually get the plain or mini ones because I prefer my breads to not have fillings. They can improve logistics wise—even if you order ahead via their website you will still have to wait in another line. The ETA of when your order will be ready pretty much doesn’t matter and you’ll find out if it’s ready when you get there, and I don’t think it’s ever been ready on time.“
“This has to be one of my all time favorite sandwiches! I had the roast beef sandwich and it was packed with all my favorites. I went on a Saturday so there was a wait which was expected but they work hard to get orders out. Overall, definitely coming back here to try out the rest of the menu.“
“Home has some of my favorite drip coffee! It's a cute place with great decor. The staff is very friendly. It's a great spot to work or grab coffee with a friend. They have big windows and a bar seating option by the windows making it a bright and cheerful space. I got a bag of coffee to go and they gave me a free drip coffee with it. Great idea! They have a cute coffee and merch section as well. I love their logo and branding. They have a lot of great lattes on their menu that I want to try next time, including oat milk and almond milk options.“
“I only tasted the pain au chocolat and the choux and I was won over. The cabbages are super good, the taste is fine and sought after. The pain au chocolat is worth a French one. The place is pleasant and the staff welcoming. Only remark: the tea served in a small half-full mug, a little too light for my taste, even if I am used to European portions.“
“The avocado toast and Dulce de leche latte were delicious! They made the latte decaf at my request, and it was so good. I’m always grateful for a cafe that offers decaf espresso. The vibes and service were excellent. We came in on a Monday morning and were able to sit and enjoy breakfast! Highly recommend!“
“I've been coming to David Rio for years as I used to work right near by. This place is definitely worth a stop and by far some of the best chai I've had in the US. I've gotten to try their whole menu, you can't go wrong with anything here. My favorites are the tea frappe, flamingo and black rhino. You currently can't sit inside which is understandable. This is owned locally and highly recommend stopping by.“
“The coffee not just looks good, but also taste so good, I have to return just to get my birthday cake coffee, and it was worth it!!The only downside was someone so impolite touching my cup right after its finishing, and nobody told him not to do that before I came to take my order. But everything else was great, it's totally worth it to have your coffee here!“
“The flat white was quite good, and best of all, it didn't burn my mouth when I first took a sip. That's how you know your barista is great! I also got the banana bread, which was delicious, as well. All around worth the trip and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town. The only thing is I wish the chairs looked a little comfier and I might be more inclined to stick around and enjoy my coffee.“
“Great coffee, food, and natural lighting! Very cute and intimate. Small and only three small table but there are outlets and wifi if you purchase something + scan a barcode they have at the front. To use the bathroom you have to be a customer and ask them for the hotel key card to use the bathroom in the hotel next door. Some free parking a few blocks away but it is limited“
“As soon as my husband and I walked in, the owner welcomed us with a warm smile. We both tried the cheeseburger, the fries, the chicken nuggets, and jalapeño poppers. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. We will definitely be back the next time we visit.“
“It was a delight to be invited here for dinner. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service was fantastic and food was unique and high quality.I was thrilled to learn that the flour comes from Italy so my gluten intolerances can be managed with imported flour - what a treat! The liver mousse was an interesting and unique starter and the linguine limone with crab was a solid dish.“
“Looking for simple breakfasts that we could potentially eat on the go. We ended up dining inside. We were floored by how good (and huge) the bagel sandwiches are. The kids ordered donuts for dessert as well. Two of them chose the fresh squeezed orange and watermelon juices for drinks and were visibly amazed at how good they tasted. The woman who took our order was patient as it was our first time. Our items were ready in a reasonable amount of time. We were more than satisfied with our order. There was surprisingly enough seating for everyone who wanted it; there was a constant stream of customers coming through. Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: Ingredients are clear for individual dishes, but there isn't a section on the menu dedicated to vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Donuts are kid friendly no matter what.“
“I had my first Socola chocolate when co-founder Susan Lieu hosted a late night tasting event in 2014 at an alumni conference. My oldest child, Ming Li, was with me. Afterwards I ordered some chocolate to share with the rest of the family. That has evolved into ordering Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn chocolates to send to both my kids. We text about the different flavors and which ones we like most. It's been a lovely way to send a care package that connects us to each other with flavors that creatively connect us to our Asian heritage. So awesome!“
“A gem! I work in the area and wanted breakfast. Decided to come in on a whim and I'm so glad I did.No frills, mom-and-pop shop that serves up delicious food. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with sliced sourdough bread, eggs, cheese, chicken apple sausage, and a hashbrown patty. It was exactly what I needed. Super satisfying! The young guys who work there are super friendly and provide great service. Fully intend to go back to try some of the lunch items.“
“Best baguette in all of SF. All their breads are stellar. Haven’t tried many of the sweets, but everyone seems to love them all. Parking is tricky, especially on weekends. Oh also the mango chicken salad sandwich with some curry flavor is “
“We have walked past here for years, and I don't know why!!!! This Cafe has has a wonderful atmosphere of chattiness and welcomeness that you could find. Add the graciousness of the staff and it's amazing. We went for a late breakfast, and then went back the next day for a late breakfast. We ordered the Peanut Butter Açaí bowl, which was the perfect blend of açaí and peanut butter smoothie with the fresh fruit and granola on top. Add a pastry and it's perfect for brunch. Well worth your time and I'm so glad we slowed down and did a double take.“
“You can't beat getting a hot beverage when you are chilly at the ocean! This place has a beach vibe. It's right at the city light rail turnaround for the N-Judah, which you can take to the beach and enjoy lunch at this cafe.Vegetarian options: I didn't see the menu, but they had hot chocolate, which is vegetarian, if not strictly vegan. They had oat milk, though, which is nice.“
“This was a welcome stop on my walking tour of SF. The barista asked if it was to go or for here, and I'm glad to see a comfortable, reusable porcelain cup for the "here" customers. The staff helped me find an outlet for my phone as I sipped. The coffee was a little more acidic for my taste; that is a preference. It was very good coffee. The price was lower than I expected.“
“In San Francisco in my opinion people are not always nice including service people, this place was awesome. They ice cream was delicious. I think the owner served us and he was super nice accommodated lots of samples, delicious, ice cream, and very reasonable prices.“
“I've had my fair share of boba and other crafty teas but Oddcha probably has been the best so far. I'm usually very picky about matcha drinks and Oddcha exceeded my expectations consistently. Love their golden matcha! Also their cheese toppings are delicious!“
“Love this bakery so much, you can never go wrong with their baked goods, don’t sleep on their pizza especially the pepperoni it’s so good! Along with the great food they serve they have an even better service, they’re very welcoming and kind.“
“We came here because they specifically called out good breakfast but did not find that to be the case. Prepackaged, very expensive burritos and a very bland quiche were what we found.Coffee and matcha was great, atmosphere was great. Just really not a place to get food, too.“
“Great, individually orderable breakfast with great bagels, freshly squeezed orange juice and (of course) the best donuts in town. The service is also great. We were there three days in a row and were thrilled every time.Other, perhaps fancier cafés haven't managed this.“
“This is currently my favorite bakery. Every time my friends/family and I make plans to go to Japan town I ensure we come in the morning and on a weekend to guarantee I can take the time to wait in line here (and there will be a line).I haven't had a single thing from here that has disappointed me in any way! My favorites are the kalbijjim croissant, the kouign amann, banoffee croissant, and the honeycomb toffee iced coffee!Vegetarian options: Most of their items do not contain meat! Only the kalbijjim croissant has meat. To my knowledge everything else does contain some kind of egg or dairy so none of it is vegan.“
“We dined for brunch and had a wonderful meal and experience. The food is really good and the cocktails were even better. Classic California flare.Highly recommend reservations for weekends, especially if you want to have a table outside. We prefer inside because it does tend to get windy. We had the smoked salmon pizza, the Greek salad with grilled shrimp and the Surfers ranchero. Highly recommend the Smoke or jalapeño cocktail.Service was top notch.“
