“I have always enjoyed stopping by this Philz for a coffee and some downtime. Vibe is chill, great coffee, and comfortable seating.

But I'm writing this review primarily to give a huge THANK YOU and shoutout to the management and employees here - an incredibly kind and trustworthy group of folks.

I lost my wallet just before a big trip, and after calling around, the manager of this Philz informed me that they were in possession of my wallet after it was found on a chair the day prior. The manager and employees kept it safe and upon retrieval, it still had all my belongings - including a substantial amount of loose cash.

The team here not only provide great service, but are kind and full of integrity - just one more reason to stop by!“

“I have semi-mixed feelings on this place. I simply ordered the royale matcha latte with almond milk. It was almost $10 with a tip. I was upset to see the matcha is premixed in a pitcher. So basically she just poured me a cup of milk and matcha mix for nearly $10. However, it did taste like a pretty good quality ceremonial matcha. I can imagine they make the premix to make it easier for workers during rush times. I will come back if I’m really desiring a matcha because I do think this one tasted better and more quality than many other cafes I’ve ordered from in Marin, though I do prefer it be made fresh. That aside, the woman who took my order was very friendly.“

“The staff is generally very friendly and responsive. Starbucks coffee drinks are mostly good, but the price to value relationship isn't quite what I expect. The breakfast food items are quite good when you're on the run. The lunch items are generally unacceptable to me.“

“While my significant other was inside Nordstrom browsing, I took Poppy for a short walk around the Village at Corte Madera and went looking for some much-needed caffeine. Just outside the Nordstrom entrance, I noticed the Ebar sign and decided to give it a try. The small coffee bar offers a selection of espresso drinks, teas, pastries, and a few light items like salads and snacks. I ordered a latte, which was prepared quickly and tasted surprisingly good, smooth, hot, and exactly what I needed.

There are a few comfortable seats nearby, including some outside where you can relax and watch the steady flow of shoppers passing through the mall. I sat down, enjoyed my coffee, and took a short break while Poppy and I people-watched for a bit. If you happen to be shopping at Nordstrom or walking around the mall and need a reliable caffeine stop, Ebar is a convenient and pleasant place to grab a quick drink.“

“The first time I came here I ordered the special pandan coffee and it was a little watery and I could taste the coffee, and the pandan was overpowering but I tried it again this week and I really enjoyed it. I felt like the coffee was really aromatic and I could taste the pandan as well.
I also love how the staff here are really sweet and accommodating and there is enough space to sit and relax“

“Nice cafe with a good selection of drinks and food right off the main thoroughfare. Upon walk in you are able to see a menu showcasing all of their drinks and food. They have acai bowls, a huge assortment of pastries, crepes, etc. everything has Brazilian flair which was cool. We ordered acai bowls which are big for their size and jam packed full of fresh fruit. Honestly, one of the best acai bowls I’ve had, presentation wise and taste wise. The coffees were also good, but nothing spectacular. The light pastry we ordered was very good and fluffy. You can see the assortment of pastries as you go through the check out, as it’s a bit like a school lunch line. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a trendy but quiet spot to have a good meal and a cup of coffee.“

“The kind of coffee shop you always hope to find. Having lived in the area for 6 years, this is my go-to spot. It’s where you’ll find locals coming back everyday (for good reason). Family-run. They know the names of most who walk through the door. Beans roasted onsite. It’s everything a great coffee shop should be.“

“I love this coffee shop! The staff are so welcoming, community minded, and great at making delicious drinks. They do great at having vegan food and drink options too. Last school year they donated to support the teachers at our neighborhood public school. It’s a great atmosphere and must stop when you’re on Fillmore😊“

“My second time coming for the Kaya toast. Their breads are unique and delicious but the Kaya toast is too sweet and salty at the same time. Also if you’re germaphobic the cashier here grabs everything with his hands after handling money. He was pretty rude too.“

I also highly recommend trying our delicious pistachio cheesecake.“

“One65 was an amazing discovery on our trip to San Francisco. Having spent the first half of our life in Montréal, Québec, Canada where it was hard to find a bad restaurant, we were absolutely amazed by this Bistro which looks more like a high end dining experience. The menu online & the photos attracted us to this location but we were amazed by the well timed service, the crisp white tablecloths, the table setting and the pleasant and calm atmosphere. My choices of charcuterie platter was perfectly sized; the chicken & the pork rillettes where a wonderful surprise. My husband had an onion tart with the crust as perfect as they get & which I envied. He loved his halibut, moist and tender and I raved over my grilled half lobster, so tender that I found myself munching on the shell parts as well. My bread pudding was not of overwhelming size & perfectly flavored. Don chose the Affogato (scoop of vanilla gelato « drowned » with a shot of hot espresso). We wanted to go back today but they are closed on Sundays.?“

“I love this place! One of my favorite spots in the city to meet up with friends or get some work done. The atmosphere is beautiful…bright, airy, and filled with natural sunlight.
The strawberry matcha is hands down one of the best in the city!!! I also love their Eggs Benedict. The whole place somehow makes me feel like I’ve been transported to Turkey or somewhere in Europe. ☕✨

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“If you're looking for an exceptional place to get coffee and a Vietnamese Bahn Mi, you must visit Fresh Brew!

I was greeted promptly and did not have to wait long to order or wait for the food and coffee to be ready. You can tell the owner takes pride in his shop and was happy to have visitors.

The iced coffee was vibrant and perfectly balanced. Not too strong or watered down. It was refreshing drink to have on warm SF afternoon.
Instead of typical pork, I tried the chicken Bahn Mi. The baguette was crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. It was filled with fresh vegetables and pickled veggies along with the perfect amount of sauce. There was no skimping of chicken, just the right amount to make the sandwich filling.

My only small complaint would be the lack of seating. However, it's a small shop in a dense area of the City so that's to be expected.

Prices are very reasonable for the portions, no silly up charges. I would highly recommend this coffee shop for lunch. Next time I will go earlier and try one of the breakfast offerings.“

This cafe is in the San Francisco Chronicle building and has a separate entrance on Fifth street. I stopped by for a medium café latte ($3.50) and Milano panini ($7.82).

After ordering, I looked around and saw that they have images of art from a Recology artist residency hanging on the walls and enough seats and tables for about a dozen people.

My latte was handed to me at my table in less than five minutes and was unsweetened, but there were different creamers and sweeteners available. The panini took ten minutes and was about the size of a burger. The bread was crisp with a little chew. I didn't really like the combination of ingredients inside, but it was what I ordered.

In a city where $9 coffees are increasingly common, this café offers excellent value and service for less. They also have different bottled drinks if you want something other than coffee. For food, they have other sandwiches, baked goods, instant noodles, and all kinds of packaged snacks available.“

“That Captain Crunch Burrito was so good we went twice in a row to get it.

Fantastic breakfast, everything looked extremely good as we had the please to sit with perfect views of the kitchen the second time.

The burrito was a delight and the hot sauce with it amazing. Great experience overall!“

“LOVE Pixlcat coffee, keep coming back for more! Every time I'm in San Francisco to visit my family this is a must-stop for me. I get the drip coffee, butter mochi, whole bean to brew at home, and even have to leave with a few T-shirts because they're great gifts and souvenirs. The service is always bright and cheery, even my kids love stopping by to say hi and they don't drink coffee :)“

“I was visiting SF from out of town and I stopped here for a break near Union Square. Honestly it ended up being one of my favorite memories of the whole trip.

First, about the cafe itself:

1. The ambience is really cute and comfortable. Italian vibe. I know there’s a lot of cafes nearby that are so packed that you can barely think, but this one felt calm and you can actually sit and relax. I could see myself doing homework here for hours if I lived nearby.

2. The barista was also super helpful. I was standing there confused looking at the menu and he just recommended something for me, which I appreciated. I got the Caramellatto and the tiramisu and both are nice. I do wish the tiramisu could be on the bitter side but that’s just my preference.

But the real reason I'm writing this. I accidentally left a print behind at the window seat. It was a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge that my partner bought for me at Coit Tower, so it means a lot to me. I didn't even realize until I was already at the airport. I called the cafe in a panic and they found it right away and offered to mail it to me. They never once asked me for money. I kept telling them I would pay for shipping. I even offered to send my ID so they know I'm real.

It arrived safely, packaged really carefully, do not bend and everything. Thank you so much to the staff here. You didn't have to do that for a random tourist.

“World Green Acai is one of my favorite spots in Larkspur! Their smoothies are always fresh, delicious, and the perfect treat when I want something refreshing. I also always get their spinach empanadas—they’re so good and honestly one of my favorite things on the menu. Everything tastes fresh, the portions are great, and the staff is always friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!“

“Paper Son Coffee is amazing! The ube salt bread literally blew my mind, it honestly might be the best pastry I’ve ever had in my life. The cream filling is super fluffy, and the outside is baked to a perfectly crisped texture. Their coffee was absolutely delicious, too, and paired flawlessly with the food. I got super lucky and walked right in with no line, which was a huge bonus. The inside of the shop is really cute and cozy. I’d love to come back next time and try the rest of their pastry menu!“
