“I love coming here because it’s spacious, they have friendly service, good baristas, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Mario, who has been working here for 11 years, is a staple of the cafe. I love supporting the business and visit weekly.“
“This quaint -hippie- modern coffee shop is too cute! Last time I was here there was a musician playing, and I love their organic coffee options! I was the first costumer in line and the Barista was very patient with me, since I can never figure out what I want to drink and I ended up getting a specialty espresso drink. Hee. Plus all their sweets and even gluten free items. Hee. I always stop by here when I'm in the area.“
“This place is truly a diamond that doesn't get enough attention! We have been coming to World Green Acai since they have opened 4 years ago. Authentic Acai is hard to find and World Green does not disappoint! This is not a fast food restaurant. The care and effort to make high quality authentic Brazilian food is the ethos of the owners. Have patience and you will be rewarded with a delicious unique and authentic Brazilian food experience. It's true that folks travel from all over the Bay Area just to experience the food and environment of World Green Acai.“
“Super cute spot with great boba and friendly staff. I’ve had the brown sugar milk tea and the mango sticky rice inspired drink which is amazing and so unique and fun! Easy to order on the kiosk and quick service.Dietary restrictions: They don’t use powdered mixes so you can get the drinks dairy free with alternative milks“
“Nice confy hidden jewel in Marin! The food is very tasty and feels homey! The pastries are super good(specially the small almond cakes and croissants!). The customer service is super friendly and very attentive! I highly recommend the kitchen breakfast! We have to support our local businesses! Especially when the food and service are excellent!“
“Hands down one of my favorite places in San Rafael!Everything is so thoroughly thought and delicious. The best gluten free options I’ve ever had, everything is so tasty and pretty you’ll want to spend the whole day in there.Outstanding serviceDietary restrictions: Gluten free options“
“Very authentic, great food and pho, friendly service! I spent 1 month travelling in Vietnam a few years ago and this food is awesome! I had the pho tai and spring rolls, both excellent! The family vibe is really cool too, I enjoyed watching the TV with grandma, seriously!“
“Because I read the Marin IJ Feb. 2024 review, I tried this new cafe. The spicy pork protein bowl was fresh, delicious, and nutritious. The kim chee was excellent! When I lived in Seoul, I ate Korean food in high-end restaurants and cheap hole-in-the-walls.This cafe gives a great taste and feel for the uniqueness of Korean cuisine.Highly recommend!“
“I love the Pump Espresso Bar. Love it. In fact, if I was lucky enough to work from home, I would work from the Pump. The inside is super cute, and it is oddly calming as soon as you walk in. This is saying a lot as I am one of the most high strung, overly driven humans and calm is not in my vocabulary. Lots of great coffee options, and they are all so good! The barista that helped us last time was fantastic and I want to give her all the kudos. She let me taste test their pumpkin syrup and she mentioned that they make it in house. I ended up going with the cardamom latte which seems to be the only drink I get at the Pump Espresso Bar. I keep telling myself to branch out and try a different beverage.Lots of food options that look delicious. The Pump Espresso Bar is always busy and it is such a welcoming local business that I am more than happy to give my business to.“
“Love this special spot with accommodating hostess with the mostess and tasty treats served with style + your favorite pot of Tea! Lovely idea for birthday or special occasion. You can wear your fascinator or hat, too! We had the classic. high Tea with a split of champagne and we are coming back next week! Take your fave gal pal, your Mom, Auntie, Colleague, Niece of any age and create a wonderful memory together!“
“From the time we sat down to the time we left... all the servers were very nice and attentive. The food was so flavorful. The calamari was small piece but it overfilled the plate. The fish and chip have some of the best seasons I ever had. Will definitely come back if I am in the area again.“
“We came here because they specifically called out good breakfast but did not find that to be the case. Prepackaged, very expensive burritos and a very bland quiche were what we found.Coffee and matcha was great, atmosphere was great. Just really not a place to get food, too.“
“I feel like I've tried all the coffee in Marin, Fox and Kit keeps me coming back. They pour the most consistent shot, and with smiles on their faces. They even have amazing French pastries and other goodies. But beware, there are .....MANY children there on rainy days! It might take a bit longer to get a coffee on those days but well worth it.“
“This place is the best and I hope they never close! I grew up in the area but now live out of the country and my family has relocated to the east bay but I still make the 60 min drive all the way to Jelly Donut whenever I come to visit them. The owners are super friendly and generous, often throwing in an extra freebie too. We've tried 4 other donut shops in the east bay and none are even close to as good as these. Long live Jelly Donut!“
“Red Whale has brought hipster coffee to San Rafael. If you are a coffee aficionado and you haven’t been here yet, you need to be. I love a good latte and Red Whale does not disappoint. Their lattes can easily hang with the likes of Blue Bottle and Equator. And if you are a drip coffee or cold brew person, these guys look legit. They have a wall of glass equipment dedicated to making cold brew (it’s worth going just to see that wall!).There has been as much thought put into the space as they have put into their coffee - with a room dedicated to coffee paraphernalia and a lounge room equipped with a seating area, record player and vintage pinball machines. One thing to note is if you’re in a rush, you may or may not get your coffee quickly. Sometimes the regulars like to chat up the baristas which can slow things down a bit but the coffee is definitely worth the wait.“
“This is my neighborhood bakery it's the BEST and I basically go every morning. My go to is the Pain Suisse, delicious ? my daughter's favorite is the chocolate croissant, and my son's all about the morning bun. The staff is so friendly anf welcoming you must visit.“
“Went for a morning drive to Sausalito from San Francisco. I hadn’t been to this town in ages & wanted to revisit this charming town. I googled places for breakfast & Fred’s looked promising so we headed there. There’s a small shared parking lot next to the cafe & plenty of street parking. It’s a small cafe with some outdoor seating & it was pretty busy on Saturday morning. We were seated at a large shared table with two other people. They didn’t mind & neither did we. Extensive menu- I’d read the most popular items are the lemon ricotta pancakes, egg plate with sweet bacon, deep fried French toast & the Swedish, but looking at fellow customers plates who’d ordered some of the dishes, I decided I could not eat such large portions! I went for the single berry waffle & my husband ordered the veggie omelette. The waffle was delicious; only wish the syrup they served was realMaple syrup. I don’t eat the fake stuff so I skipped it. The omelette was very nice & came with toast & hash browns. We had ordered cappuccino & laughed when we saw the size of the “cup” - almost like a mini bathtub! I’m fussy about my coffee & this one just ok.Overall, a nice little place to enjoy breakfast before walking down to the marina & town center.“
“If you’re looking to get some yummy fresh boba tea then choose Teaspoon! I was impressed for my first time here.Drinks: The boba teas were fresh and light. They both tasted just right, not too sweet, and with great flavors. We tried the taro milk tea and the dirty ube and we would highly recommend both!Atmosphere: It was a charming little place with indoor and outdoor seating available. The place wasn’t too crowded as well and staff were friendly and welcoming.Price: Normal price for these quality drinks! You get what you pay for.Parking: Parking is found in the parking lot area outside of the many shops/restaurants. You don’t have to pay for it either.“
“12 years ago I visited San Francisco, cycled across the bridge with friends and sat here and had sandwiches. When people ask where I had the best sandwich in my life, I say it was this place. And despite being from Manchester UK, I'll be going back.“
“Best ice cream in Sausalito IMHO. I’ve been here about five times and I always look forward to it. Any of the coffee flavored ice creams are great, but my personal favorite is the Oregon Cherry one. Expect Sausalito prices, but worth it. Great when you’re waiting for the ferry!“
“Great cafe, went here to and from the north coast and it was fantastic! I will definitely stop here again next time I'm in Marin.A heads up though if you park on the street nearby with meters, I had the city parking enforcement ticket me 10 minutes before my meter actually ran out and I had no proof because I used quarters, so either use a credit card or take a photo of your meter...“
“The owner Cindy is the best barista I’ve met she loves to see customers happy with every cup of coffee she makes for them. She loves to have everything done with perfection and, let me say that’s what makes Bean Crema & Tea my favorite spot for coffee. They also, have very reasonable prices compared to other places and the best thing is that their pastries are home made, on top of that! they are very delicious. The atmosphere is great and makes me feel comfortable.“
“Looking for a coffee to go in the area we ended up in shoreline coffee shop. As we were walking towards the Cafe we preceived the aromas of the food coming to us and inviting us to stay and eat. The food was good and freshly cooked. It's a traditional breakfast place. It was sunny enough to sit outside. Coffee was good.“
“Equator coffee in Larkspur is 10/10. They consistently deliver an EXCELLENT cappuccino and the staff is so warm, it’s a local community feeling. Special shout out to Kaitlyn. She’s wonderful. I just love coming here every morning ❤️“
“We had a fantastic dining experience at the Malibu restaurant in Tiburon, San Francisco. Our server, Manny, was incredibly helpful and truly made our visit memorable. The restaurant offers stunning views, and everything from the food to the coffee was excellent.“
“This review is essentially a 3.5/5, but i rounded up. It is based on ordering one cortado to go. The espresso is the only thing keeping it from being a 3.Milk steam quality, 3/5. The temperature was a bit on the warm side but not overly hot. The milk was just slightly too thin. Even for a cortado I like a bit more air in the milk, not to the consistency of a cappuccino, but the cortado shouldn't taste slippery.Espresso quality, 5/5. I'm not sure what is in their espresso blend, but it stands up to milk really well. It's malty and nutty, but not overly roasted.Ambiance, 3/5. Just average. Trying to be both a deli/sandwich shop and a coffee shop. It's not a place I necessarily would want to come camp out and work in for too long, but it could be a decent spot for lunch. However, there's a lot of people always mulling about, waiting for to go drinks, etc., so it feels busy.Service, 3/5. Neither overly hospitable or hostile. Just average.“
“I can't speak highly enough about this place. I used to go here fairly often in the mornings, but I moved several years ago and had been jonesing for their coffee. I recently ordered 2 bags of beans: my previous favorite, the Astral Blend, and one I hadn't yet tried, Hakrz Delight. My GOODNESS the Hakrz blend is amazing. Boldness of a dark roast with the complexity of something much lighter, this may be my new #1 all time.Regarding the service here, when I placed my order, I got a phone confirmation (sorry, I can't remember who called) and she was such a sweetheart. She let me know when my order had just finished roasting, and had it packed and shipped immediately.I'm sharing my coffee with my whole office and everyone agrees, this blend is wonderful.“
“The coffee drinks are great...beautiful foamy presentation, yummy, and perfect temperature. The pastries and cookies are to die for. The service is very prompt and friendly. Ambiance has a very boutiquey feel. There's a large parking lot nearby or can do street parking. Very safe area. I'm from San Jose but, I love coming here.“
“This place has some of the best gluten free treats in the Bay Area! I drive from the next county over just to go here, that's saying a lot! I have been coming here for a little over 5 years and it never disappoints. I love their rapture, carrot muffin, pumpkin and chocolate. I saw they now offer layered cakes which makes me so happy, definitely going to remember that! Their ginger cookies are so good as well!! I have tried a Turkey sando there years ago and it wasn't bad. I have never tried their bread items. Great service and they have remained consistent which is actually really special. Don't miss out!!“
“Fast service. I was in the area for an early morning appointment and stopped in here for coffee and a bagel. I ordered the BLT bagel with no tomaties. It was satisfying and delicious. Their menu had plenty to offer. The service was great. They had heavy traffic which is a good sign in my opinion.“
“I had never tried a Thai iced coffee before, so I figured that I'd give this place a shot! I was liked in and got my drink quickly. It was delicious and priced competitively for it being a special coffee drink. I'll definitely be by to try it again soon.“
“One of the best coffees I’ve had in years. This is the stuff of why coffee is so delicious - not that horror inducing brown water in most places across America.Had the cold brew shaken with cream, and no sweetener. Coffee flavor shone, and perfectly complemented by the richness of the cream (which I understand is house made and certainly tastes like it). Gluten free financier was also delicious and perfect size for a snack.“
“If you are looking for somewhere to buy delicious coffee beans, stop by the new coffee at 1208 4th St. I hate to say it, but their decaf beans that I use for cold brew is better than anything. Peet''s offers. Strong and smooth! The family that works here is very sweet, and the teenager was polite and positive. I will come back soon when I can hang out and drink their pumpkin spice brew or try one of the delicious baked goods. Also know if they have outdoor seating if you have a puppy“
“I am a huge fan of Republic of Tea. First, their tagless tea bags keep very well in the plastic free containers they come in (take that boxed Celestial) - they don't lose their potency quickly and at about 25 cents a tea bag (50 bags at $12 a can or so) it is extremely economical to make your own iced tea at home. I'm able to buy their cans in store, or (as I've been doing lately) direct from their website. Shipping turnaround time is a bit on the long side, however it comes packed like a tank and I love that I can re-use the tea containers for other types of teas from smaller companies (like Classy Hippie). All in all, I'm a big fan of the volume of selections on their page and they're very easy to order from. In fact, I think I'm going to buy a few more cans right now!“
“Friendly service. Plenty of staff. Located on a cute street great for walking and shopping. All the diary alternatives offered. Appeared to have an extensive food menu, vegetarian options; I didn't look for vegan options. Easy to find off 101 and return to the freeway. Nice alternative to a chain location.“
“Delicious Waffle with brie and avocado, lavender latte with soy was good but a little sweet. Dont have their own wifi - bring a hotspot or can use the wifi in the square which can be. spotty. But, can you ask for a more beautiful area to focus and flow in work?“
“This cafe has staying power...has been open for many years. I recently started having weekend breakfast there, but the woman working behind the counter on Saturdays is not very welcoming: stone-face, no smile, no intentional eye contact and no greeting. Big turnoff. Think I'll venture to a more friendlier venue on Saturdays“
“I've been here for breakfast several times over many years. I always experience a friendly, homey place with delicious food. On my most recent visit, I had the best Eggs Benedict I've ever tasted! Thank you Mill Valley Coffee Shop staff!“
“Loved! So busy and lively but you know that's all means good stuff. This latte was soooo creamy and perfectly sweet. Coffee is roasted in house and let me tell you it's some good coffee. They also have a generous food menu and pastries! -Cost of medium almond milk sugar free latte: $6.75 (Because of the modifications)“
“This is the best coffee in Marin! These drinks are time consuming and hard to make and the staff work their butts off creating them! And always smiling and providing great customer service! A shout out to the boss Mary for creating an environment that both customers and staff enjoy! Cheers!“
“When I went there, they had no lines and the churros were only $2.84 for 3 churros. They were very kind to me and quick to serve. I was craving for churros and started searching. Lo and behold, there is a churro restaurant just exclusively churros set aside sandwiches and smoothies but now I know there is a churro place when I am craving for churrosParking: Good luck finding a place to park as their parking lot is a shared lot.“
“Demerit to the location for being out of both Italian and French roast, but a real positive shout out to new employee Scott. He bent over backwards to resolve the situation, looking upstairs, then calling the nearest Peet's in Tiburon. Thanks for trying, Scott!“
“Shout out to the Starbucks crew today from 4-5pm. I had a meeting with someone while a difficult and inappropriate visitor came in the coffee shop twice and they had to ask this person to leave. The unstable person was rude and hostile back to the workers but the staff was not phased and handled the situation appropriately. Just want to say thank you and you are doing a great job.“
“THIS IS SPECIFICALLY FOR THE DRIVE-UP IN DOWNTOWN NOVATO. I go here every morning before work. It's great. The baristas are super nice and very friendly. Coffee is very, very good. I honestly think I like the seasonal flavors at Marin Coffeen Roasters more than Starbucks'. The toasted marshmallow lattee is to die for. Its not candy coffee like Starbucks. Marin Roasters strikes a perfect balance between flavor and coffee, so youre still tasting coffee as well as flavoring. Pastries are also surprisingly good. Coffee is the same price as Starbucks. As far as "atmosphere", I go to the South Novato Blvd location which is a drive-up so there isnt really much atmosphere to be had to begin with which is why my atmosphere rating is 3 stars, but its still pretty cute. Do NOT take the 3 stars for atmosphere as a negative, its literally just because this specific location is a drive up building. The coffee place before them was also a drive up. The building they happen to occupy is specifically designed for drive up coffee. Also, they take walk-up orders and have dog treats. I don't know why they wouldn't do walk-up, but its still worth mentioning cause you can grab a coffee and a treat for your dog if you're on a walk. The Ignacio and San Anselmo location however ARE sit down cafes, but I've never been there. Judging by pictures, they look very nice and are the place you want to go to if you want to sit down and aren't just picking up coffee and a pastry to goTLDR the coffee is fantastic, I like it more than Starbucks, and the people are great. Go there. Support local and enjoy some of the best coffee in town.“
“We passed through here on our way out of town. Open menu so we had dinner for breakfast! Amazingly fresh and authentic Italian food. We had a a meatball sub, pesto pasta and chicken Parmigiano. Coffee and tiramisu was amazing also. A must go if you are in Sausalito.“
“Old school place don't miss out the food is great and feels like home chicken fried steak makes me smile when I need it ...huge cup of coffee ...take your fam or your person and enjoy you won't regret it park out side of main street 4 hr parking then you can wander and see the parks near “
“Had my espresso machine serviced here, and it was an extremely helpful experience.Food choices are a little old school. Haven't seen piroshki for a while, but they have em.Geared to serving the local business employees, since they're in the warehouse district.“
“I had brunch there today and it was delicious! I had the California Benedict. The hollandaise was smooth and tasty, the avocado was abundant, plenty of spinach and I loved the toasted sourdough (in place of a regular muffin.) The accompanying fruit combo was nicely presented, plentiful, and fresh. My daughter had the creamy polenta with poached eggs and eggplant, and feta and loved it. We're definitely going back for more.“
“On our hunt to find “The Best Burgers” in the area on Google Map….Pretty close…We searched & found “Best Burgers”a great find for family-owned quick fresh to order homemade like burger. Lots of other menu options, full menu availableConvenience for time management & multi-tasking. Located in the Trader Joe’s parking lot @ Montecito PlazaWe had a super low battery on car, hungry & needed to go grocery shopping @ Trader Joe’s. Trifecta. We plugged into a ecar charger in front of the restaurant for Rockstar parking. We arrived hungry & left happy. We ordered a Cheeseburger combo with sweet potato fries. The place just had a huge crowd walk in before me, of at least 20 people. The cashier and orders with the kitchen were coordinated like a machine and no one waited for lunch. Thanks for Great Burger & service & Fries!Parking: Not only a large parking lotElectric car vehicle charger & Trader Joe’s share the parking lot for convenience“
“It's all about the service here. The point of drive-thru coffee is convenience, right? (And coffee). And somehow Java Hut managed to make this convenience even more convenient. I drove up for the first time the other day. I had maybe one or two cars ahead of me. And an employee (or maybe even the owner) came up to my window to take my order, then brought it out and took my cash before I even made it to the order window! And on top of that, he gave me a dog treat for my dog, who was sitting in the passenger's seat. And not your run-of-the-mill milk bone, but a real, meaty jerky treat. I try to find places with walk up windows, since I pretty much always have my little dog with me (plus I still avoid bringing my not-yet-eligible-for-vaccination 3 year old to indoors spaces), so I was particularly pleased to see that Java Hut also has a walk-up window with pleasant looking covered patio seating. Coffee is Starbucks equivalent, I think, so not, say, Equator or Ritual, but a nicer, more pleasant, convenient, and local experience than Starbucks. And we enjoyed the scone!“
