“Because I read the Marin IJ Feb. 2024 review, I tried this new cafe.The spicy pork protein bowl was fresh, delicious, and nutritious.The kim chee was excellent!When I lived in Seoul, I ate Korean food in high-end restaurants and cheap hole-in-the-walls.This cafe gives a great taste and feel for the uniqueness of Korean cuisine.Highly recommend!“
“This place is the best and I hope they never close! I grew up in the area but now live out of the country and my family has relocated to the east bay but I still make the 60 min drive all the way to Jelly Donut whenever I come to visit them. The owners are super friendly and generous, often throwing in an extra freebie too. We've tried 4 other donut shops in the east bay and none are even close to as good as these. Long live Jelly Donut!“
“I feel like I've tried all the coffee in Marin, Fox and Kit keeps me coming back. They pour the most consistent shot, and with smiles on their faces. They even have amazing French pastries and other goodies. But beware, there are .....MANY children there on rainy days! It might take a bit longer to get a coffee on those days but well worth it.“
“Red Whale has brought hipster coffee to San Rafael. If you are a coffee aficionado and you haven’t been here yet, you need to be. I love a good latte and Red Whale does not disappoint. Their lattes can easily hang with the likes of Blue Bottle and Equator. And if you are a drip coffee or cold brew person, these guys look legit. They have a wall of glass equipment dedicated to making cold brew (it’s worth going just to see that wall!).There has been as much thought put into the space as they have put into their coffee - with a room dedicated to coffee paraphernalia and a lounge room equipped with a seating area, record player and vintage pinball machines. One thing to note is if you’re in a rush, you may or may not get your coffee quickly. Sometimes the regulars like to chat up the baristas which can slow things down a bit but the coffee is definitely worth the wait.“

I will definitely stop here again next time I'm in Marin.A heads up though if you park on the street nearby with meters, I had the city parking enforcement ticket me 10 minutes before my meter actually ran out and I had no proof because I used quarters, so either use a credit card or take a photo of your meter...“
“I had never tried a Thai iced coffee before, so I figured that I'd give this place a shot! I was liked in and got my drink quickly. It was delicious and priced competitively for it being a special coffee drink. I'll definitely be by to try it again soon.“
“I can't speak highly enough about this place. I used to go here fairly often in the mornings, but I moved several years ago and had been jonesing for their coffee. I recently ordered 2 bags of beans: my previous favorite, the Astral Blend, and one I hadn't yet tried, Hakrz Delight. My GOODNESS the Hakrz blend is amazing. Boldness of a dark roast with the complexity of something much lighter, this may be my new #1 all time.Regarding the service here, when I placed my order, I got a phone confirmation (sorry, I can't remember who called) and she was such a sweetheart. She let me know when my order had just finished roasting, and had it packed and shipped immediately.I'm sharing my coffee with my whole office and everyone agrees, this blend is wonderful.“
“If you are looking for somewhere to buy delicious coffee beans, stop by the new coffee at 1208 4th St. I hate to say it, but their decaf beans that I use for cold brew is better than anything. Peet''s offers. Strong and smooth! The family that works here is very sweet, and the teenager was polite and positive. I will come back soon when I can hang out and drink their pumpkin spice brew or try one of the delicious baked goods. Also know if they have outdoor seating if you have a puppy“
“When I went there, they had no lines and the churros were only $2.84 for 3 churros. They were very kind to me and quick to serve. I was craving for churros and started searching. Lo and behold, there is a churro restaurant just exclusively churros set aside sandwiches and smoothies but now I know there is a churro place when I am craving for churrosParking: Good luck finding a place to park as their parking lot is a shared lot.“
“This cafe has staying power...has been open for many years. I recently started having weekend breakfast there, but the woman working behind the counter on Saturdays is not very welcoming: stone-face, no smile, no intentional eye contact and no greeting. Big turnoff. Think I'll venture to a more friendlier venue on Saturdays“
“Shout out to the Starbucks crew today from 4-5pm. I had a meeting with someone while a difficult and inappropriate visitor came in the coffee shop twice and they had to ask this person to leave. The unstable person was rude and hostile back to the workers but the staff was not phased and handled the situation appropriately. Just want to say thank you and you are doing a great job.“
