“While we were in San Francisco, my daughter really wanted to get a special drink with popping Boba. We had done a bunch of research ahead of time and had our hearts set on a particular store, but when we got there, they didn’t have the popping Boba she wanted. Needless to say, she was a little disappointed.

I told her, “Let’s just walk around Chinatown. I’m sure we’ll find something!” And find something we did!

We were heading to the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory when we noticed By Me Boba Tea right next door. We decided to pop in and see if they had the popping Boba drinks she was looking for—and they did! She was thrilled.

The shop was really cute, with adorable lanterns that immediately caught our attention and drew us inside. The store was clean, there was plenty of seating, and they had lots of different drink and topping options.

My daughter got exactly what she wanted, and she loved it! In fact, she liked it so much that she wanted to go back again during our trip. Unfortunately, it wasn’t close to the other places we were visiting, so we never made it back.

If you’re visiting Chinatown, I definitely recommend stopping at By Me Boba Tea, especially if you’re planning to visit the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory. It’s literally right next door, so grab a refreshing drink before you get in line for the fortune cookies. It turned our little boba hunt into one of the highlights of our Chinatown visit!“

“Good Boba place in the area. There are a lot of options and many add-ons and flavors to make your drink taste wonderful. Workers are friendly and patient. Wish this place is closer to my home.“

“Cute, small place, but would not suggest the sparkling drink. I was craving boba late at night and didn’t want caffeine to keep me up. The only non-caffeinated option seemed to be turning it into a sparkling drink instead, which I did. I got the grapefruit flavored drink btw! While it didn’t taste bad, it did not feel worth the amount of money I paid for it. So to my late-night boba-craving friends, find another non-caffeinated option elsewhere and don’t spend your money on this.
Rating 4 stars because I think I’ve come here before and the regular boba tea drinks are alright.“

“Love Dots Boba! The eggettes have the exact right balance of sweetness—we finished ours before we even made it out the door. All the drinks taste fresh, but the HK Milk Tea and Hokkaido Milk Tea are easily the standouts. A fantastic spot for the whole family!“

“My daughter and I love hitting up this quiet boba spot for some delicious and chewy honey boba after school. We've enjoyed their oreo brulee and oreo smoothie, but I plan on trying some fruit teas next time, which we just learned are made from REAL FRUIT! They don't use fruit syrups to flavor any of their drinks. The service is outstanding -- I accidentally ordered extra boba on a drink that already included boba, and they offered to refund me. I'll be coming back every week!“

“I'm not usually into boba but I really love the fruit tea here!! Strawberry peach black tea with mango popping boba is my new favorite. The flavors are so good and the price and size are very reasonable. Also the owner is really nice and super quick with orders. This is the only place I go to when i have a craving for a sweet drink.“

“The place was clean and near the parking structure. Our order had 5 drinks, at least 2 of the lids were not closed completely！Small spill in the bag and that was my only complaint. I had HK milk tea with red beans, less ice, 25% sugar, was fine.“

“When I visited, the store had no seating and had closed their restrooms to customers, not sure if this is a usual thing. I ordered from an iPad, I liked that it had photos & an in-depth description of all the different tea options. My friend got the Oreo Matcha & I got the Lil’ Giraffe. It was pretty good, I was surprise they didn’t already come with the traditional boba ($0.75 additional charge). My friend’s was better, I didn’t taste much of the cake batter maybe due to my 75% sweetness instead of 100%? I wouldn’t recommend the Lil’ Giraffe, I’m sure there other options are better.“

“One of the best brown sugar boba I had!

On our way back to our hotel we were thirsty and were interested in some boba. Zhu's tea was nearby so we decided to give it a shot because of the good reviews

Very happy we went! The boba was great, we had brown sugar with fresh milk and tapioca and the mango fruit tea with popping passionfruit boba. Both were delicious and even after having tried lots of boba in my life, I would say the brown sugar might be in my top 3. The sweetness was great, lots of depth in the taste and the tapioca balls were perfect texture and amount. The price was also very good for what we're used to in Europe.

We went minutes before closing and still received great service, the woman working was very kind!

“The drinks taste excellent and cost $8 after tax for a large.

There is very little seating despite the large space, and a small awkward trash can. Happy Lemon seems to love their cheap uncomfortable interiors, so I guess it's typical, but for premium prices I'd expect a premium experience.

There's not a lot of parking nearby, so expect to hunt for parking within a three block radius.“

“Honey Bear Boba is definitely one of my favorite spots! 🧋 The Brown Sugar with Crema is so good—the perfect combination of sweetness and creaminess, and the popcorn chicken is crispy, flavorful, and delicious. Everything is always fresh and satisfying.

“LOVE Pixlcat coffee, keep coming back for more! Every time I'm in San Francisco to visit my family this is a must-stop for me. I get the drip coffee, butter mochi, whole bean to brew at home, and even have to leave with a few T-shirts because they're great gifts and souvenirs. “Stopped by B&B and had an amazing bánh mì. The owner was super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell he really cares about both the food and his customers.

The sandwich was huge and packed with fresh ingredients. I also loved hearing that he doesn't carry ingredients over from one day to the next, so everything stays fresh. That attention to quality definitely shows in the taste.

“so my wife and I were craving some ramen for lunch in San Francisco. I came upon this random spot on Google, read the reviews & skimmed the menu. looked pretty damn good based on our personal ramen preferences. my wife ordered the black garlic oil ramen. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen. we both are very picky with our ramen - we like our broth rich, salty, creamy & flavorful. and let me tell you, coming from the east coast / NJ / NYC (we have great ramen spots there) - AFTER HOURS RAMEN TOTALLY DELIVERED 200%. I could not stress enough to my wife how satisfied I was with our meal today. oh & they had some nice 2000s hip hop/pop/r&b music playing during our lunch. loved it.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you're in the SF area. located couple blocks from ocean beach so you can walk off your food.

“Choose 100% sweet, it tasted like if I choose 0% sweet, like if it had no flavor at all, I even asked for extra boba to make it a little sweeter and it was just disappointing, I'm not expecting it to taste extra sweet but at least a to have a little flavor. It wasn’t terrible but it was not what I expected.“

“Boba Guys has been a reliably great spot for milk tea and boba for years, and their quality has not wavered. Lately I've been favoring their mochi topping over the regular boba, which adds a nice variety and a different texture to the drinks.

However, I'm writing this review specifically because of the Boba Guys collaboration with Yiltiz, a small business specializing in absolutely delightful Uyghur meat pies. I'm a fan of meat pies in general (New Zealand and Australia variants are my favorites), and these Uyghur beef pies are wonderfully crispy, flavorful, and satisfying little snacks. They can only be purchased at the Boba Guys in Potrero and Fillmore, so if you have a craving for a savory treat, I recommend getting these!“

“Cool Tea Bar never disappoints! The grass jelly roasted milk tea was absolutely delicious — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with just the right sweetness. The grass jelly added such a refreshing texture and made the drink even better.

The green pandan waffle was also amazing! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with a fragrant pandan flavor. It paired perfectly with the milk tea.

Great drinks, tasty desserts, and friendly service. Definitely one of my favorite spots to relax and grab a treat. Highly recommend!“

“Hok Tea is seemingly a new boba spot in Chinatown and a great addition to the neighborhood collection. I tried the Mango Coconut Milk and the Yakult Qing Tea. Both were good, but the Mango Coconut Milk was definitely my favorite. It was refreshing, fruity, and creamy at the same time without being overly sweet. The Yakult Qing Tea was light but I felt less enjoyable. The shop itself is small but cute, cozy and welcoming vibe. There was only one staff member making drinks when I visited, but service was still quick and efficient. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would happily come back to try more drinks.“
