“Easily my top 2 boba spots in the bay! Their quality is so consistent and unique flavors keep me as a loyal customer. Sunright has 2 kiosks and a counter to order from but they're never too busy and always have enough staff so there usually isn't a long wait! Milk teas in general - Super fragrant and made out of actual brewed tea so quality?? Unmatched. Their Yakult drinks can be VERY sweet so I'd personally recommend 75-50% sweetness. Their boba is also of perfect texture and perfectly drenched in honey syrup. **They used to have aged tea latte which was my fav but it hasn't been available for months now :((**“

“I've had my eye on this spot for a couple of months and I'm so glad I gave it a try. What caught my attention was their fried pork chop over rice. Pretty huge portion for $13.95. I got it with curry sauce and it did not disappoint. The curry didn't taste like the typical Japanese curry with a lot of spices.. it's more like the HK style cafe curries.. idk man but I loved it. I do wish it came with a little more sauce because I'm a sauce drinker LOL. The pork chop had the perfect amount of batter and it was perfectly crispy and seasoned. So tender. Came with a bed of white rice and cabbage/salad.Once you walk in, you can order from the kiosk or online. Then they'll call your order when it's ready. Basically you can choose to dine in or dine out because it comes in a to go container for convenience. Overall, solid spot. 4.5/5. Would come back!03.06.2024 | Wednesday @12:40pm“

“The teas are strong, the smoothies are delicious. I have only heard about the tea because I am a caffeine free child, but the smoothies. THE SMOOTHIES!!!!! They have so many different flavours, and the sweetness is always perfect. I also like how their large sizes are actually large. I definitely recommend the red bean smoothie, which somehow exists, and I LOVE IT. The drinks can get a bit sweet, but you can change the sweetness on all of them, I believe. Since they are a very popular business, it does take some time for them to make the drinks, but the wait is always worth it. And, they are "professionals," and they work as hard as they can to make your drink. It's a very small place, so most people get their drinks to-go, which is what happens at most boba shops anyways, so that doesn't change anything about my extremely high opinions about them. I did have a favourite drink before, but they took it off the menu. I have since loved the red bean smoothie, and highly recommend it.:)“

“You know, for the longest time, I used to wonder why there weren't more boba shops around the outer edge of the Sunset District. I get that the area out here doesn't get the same foot traffic as the stretch of Irving by 19th Ave, for example, but that's also my point - without much competition, and given all of the nearby schools, a good boba shop could kill it! So, you can imagine how delighted I was to see that Bobaville opened up their second location out here. Granted, I'd yet to try their original location in Daly City either, but I had heard so many good things about it from friends that I couldn't help but feel excited to see one pop up so much closer to me!Now, I should note that I'm fully aware that Eggettes offers boba and they aren't all that far from here. However, like several of my longtime, go-to spots on this side of SF, they seem to have fallen off over the years (or my taste has just improved). As such, Bobaville and their collection of drinks is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Sure, it'd be nice if they also had food offerings as well, but I'm not going to quibble over that. Not when nearly every variety of tea, matcha, smoothie, and coffee on the sounds so enticing! Plus, their boba is made in house, so huge plus points for that!-- ICE CREAM TEA - Choice of Tea (Black) with a Scoop of French Vanilla Ice Cream...$5.25(yelp.com/biz_photos/boba…)Pretty unique...and delicious! Given the ice cream, I asked for 25% and it was just right after mixing everything together. Surprisingly, the texture could've been creamier, but I liked how the ice cream complemented the tea rather than overpowered it.-- HONG KONG MILK TEA - Black Tea Serviced with Sugar and Evaporated Milk...$5(yelp.com/biz_photos/boba…)Not as good as the Ice Cream Tea, but still pretty solid! It was a little sweet at 75%, but not as sweet as other places' 75%. As far as taste goes, it was quite tasty, though the consistency was a little bit on the watery side for me.-- ALMOND TEA - Almond Flavored Black Tea with Non-Dairy Creamer...$5.25(yelp.com/biz_photos/boba…)I got this one at 50% sweet and it was just right - just enough to complement the almond flavor (though I wish the latter was stronger). I also added their Homemade Boba to try (+$.75) and it was fantastic! Flavorful with a nice, tender chewiness to it.-- MANGO KING - Ultra Creamy Mango Drink Made With Mango Puree, Mango Ice Cream, and Whipped Cream...$6.50(yelp.com/biz_photos/boba…)I came for this after hearing so many good things from friends and it is SO GOOD! The consistency is perfect (super creamy but not thick) and it's full of mango flavors from the ice cream and the puree. One of my new favorites anywhere! In addition to their tasty drinks, another big positive about Bobaville is their staff. Every time I've been here, the workers have always been super friendly and seem genuinely happy to help when folks have asked questions. I also love how relatively easy it is to find nearby parking. Of course, it's even easier at night, but they close somewhat early (6pm on most nights, 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays), which is really the only "bad" thing about them. I mean, I get why (not many places out here stay open late), but if they were to close a bit later, I'm sure folks like me would make the drive from elsewhere just because everything here tastes so good! All in all, I'm not sure what I'm happier about - the fact that Bobaville has opened up in SF, that I've finally learned what so many other Yelpers have already known about them, or that they were as good as I had hoped. I'm not sure if I'd go so far as to say that they're my favorite boba shop around, but they're certainly one of my favorites on this side of The City. Yes, even ahead of my nostalgic favorite, Wonderful Desserts.FOUR AND A HALF STARS rounded up.“

“In many Asian households, the highest compliment for something that's supposed to be sweet is, "Yum, it's not too sweet!" Cuppa isn't enthusiastic about making sugary drinks according to a posted sign, which suits my palate just fine. Though their pretty ombre drinks are tempting (July4 is red, white, & blue, & Summer Sunsets is aptly named), I've always only ordered the unadventurous, but reliably delicious Decaf Jasmine Green Milk Tea with lychee jelly. I alternate between 50% and 75% sweet & honestly, they both taste similar & perfectly not-too-sweet for me. Love it, will continue to order it. I've yet to try their frozen yogurt, but I did buy Chicken Teriyaki Misubi (two pieces to an order) based on being told that it's made with chicken breast. Plot twist: it was made with chicken thigh, my least favorite piece. All good, they excel at making milk tea, & that's all that matters. I guess you could say Cuppa is my cuppa tea.“

“I was super skeptical of this spot for a long time because it's next to a gas station but one day I figured since it had the highest number of Yelp reviews and one of the higher overall ratings for boba spots in the area I'd finally give it a shot. As a couple of the other reviews have pointed out, it's surprisingly good for literally gas station boba. I recommend ordering ahead directly from their website to get the best prices. They might not have the most extensive menu but they've got all the og milk teas, a couple fruit tea options, and even a Vietnamese coffee so what more can you ask for.I've tried the guava passion and the Thai milk tea, nothing out of the world but done right both times. I really like how every drink comes with a detailed description of what's included and how there are 11 different topping and 15 topping options. All toppings are relatively the same price too (unless you get double the quantity which makes sense), which I will voice my support for. They also offer 125% and 150% sweetness options, which I've never seen for boba before but hey if you like your drinks really sweet this spot could really be a gem for you. There isn't a whole lot of space inside the store, it's mainly just one small counter with the register and enough space to put bobas that are ready for pickup. There is more parking in the back but honestly who wants to stick around a gas station for longer than needed just place your order online and hop out quickly to pick it up once you arrive. There is a bathroom but it's on the other side of the building and you have to go outside to pick up the key, I just decided to wait until I got home. Overall, much more than it appears to be from the outside and don't knock it until you try it.“

I asked them what the difference was, and was told it was a little more floral but it's similar but different depending on who you ask. In my opinion, it was quite different from normal thai tea. It definitey was more floral, but still subtly floral in the general sense. I got it with less ice and 70% sweetness, which was perfect. I do love floral and strong tea tastes and this really hit the spot. It feels like it's high in caffeine content. Tasty! My friend had the coffee drink, which he liked. “I just tried the mango sago coconut jelly and it was amazing! I can't wait to try more flavors. My daughter is vegan and so we inquired through yelp to ask the owner about ingredients. Most flavors do contain low fat milk, so my daughter won't get to enjoy with me. However, we both appreciated the quick response from the owner and I personally intend to be a loyal customer.“

“Love this place for boba. It’s different (in a great way) in the sense that it has a Pacific Islander influence. The Tongan Mango Otai is my favorite. They have photos with the drink names if you need help envisioning what the drinks are. Great little spot with even better music always playing. Staff are always nice. There is a parking lot, but also plenty of street parking all the time.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp entrance.“

“I've tried just about everything but their hot drinks, their food is a little weird but a guilty pleasure for a quick snack, generous with the popcorn chicken. When it was still Quickly's, all I would get was a Taro or Almond milk tea, but their menu is massive, I HAVE to try everything. Patient bobarista, kept the same attitude for years, we appreciate you very much!!! Please make sure to tip the [small] staff, they get quite busy and backed up with big orders past 3pm when the kids are out of school (teenagers don't tip, so please be kind). Love chilling here sometimes too, cute atmosphere! :)“

“I was in the area, so I decided to check this place out. It has a cool modern vibe with claw machines and K-pop in the background. There are surprisingly few tables for the amount of space inside. I decided to get the following: Watermelon Slush with Coconut Milk and Sago - This was one of their $4 specials, and I needed something non-caffeinated since I was here in the evening on Sunday. The drink was at 50% sweetness, which was pretty light. The watermelon tasted like real watermelon blended together. There was sago in the drink, which I am not used to, but it works. I also added boba, which had a great chewy texture and was where I felt most of the sweetness was coming from. It was also a little warm and was able to maintain that chewy texture despite the cold from the drink. Overall, I still liked this drink even though I generally love sweeter drinks.Sesame Eggettes - This was so fresh I could still see the steam! It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, just the way I like it. The sesame flavor was pretty subtle.ECO NOTESBring Your Own Container Policy (BYO): They accepted my 16 oz reusable tumbler after I let them know that it was okay if they gave us less drink (since my tumbler is smaller than their usual size).“

“Tried the strawberry crepe from BB Tea's food stand, while attending the Piedmont Food Fest this past Saturday. It was delish! The thin pancake-like texture, filled with cold and creamy vanilla ice cream, topped off with fresh strawberries and sliced bananas... it was a nice little treat on a beautiful afternoon in Piedmont. The service could be a little better. There were five workers in the tent, and a large crowd of people waiting out front. The wait for my order to be ready was about 15-20 minutes... prior to that, I even stood at the order window for a bit before being acknowledged or helped. Beyond the slow service, I felt that these handheld sweet treats were a bit pricey for what you get. But the product was really good, and at least the staff was friendly, so 4 stars seems appropriate. Glad this SF tea and dessert shop could make it out to this event.“

Taiwanese Style Crispy Popcorn Chicken

“Craving popcorn chicken and there aren't too many places we know that make them nowadays in our neighborhood. After a quick search, hubs suggested trying Foam Tea House. Small place, but there were a couple of tables and seating along the window. We ordered at the kiosk - roasted oolong milk tea w/ grass jelly, Thai tea, popcorn chicken and fries. Drinks came out quickly. I ordered the roasted oolong with 30% sugar and less ice. I tend to like my teas strong, and this was a little weak for me. Hubs ordered the Thai tea, which was good. Faves were the snacks as they were made to order and came out hot and crispy. Popcorn chicken was crispy and perfect amount of saltiness. Fries were also hot, and I enjoyed them with the Sriracha ketchup. Hubs and I agreed that we'd each order our own fries and popcorn chicken next time. Would love if they offered a combo deal.“

“Good selection of drinks and great flavour. The Honeybear Boba has a good variety of beverages and toppings to choose from. We bought taro milk tea and peach green tea with tapioca toppings and they were both good. The Honeybear Boba offers other interesting options for toppings like crema, pudding, grass jelly etc. Would definitely go back to try them too. However, the size of the boba/ tapioca balls was a bit smaller compared to other boba shops. There is no sitting here so orders are only for takeaways. The staff is lovely and they give recommendations too. It is economical as compared to some other boba shops. In all, it was a good experience.“

“One of the more affordable boba shops in SF! I ordered a Jasmine Green Tea for only $4.50. That price is no where to be found in SF anymore. At 50% sweetness, the tea flavor did stand out, but I do wish it was more on the floral side. This spot offers a variety of snacks, drinks and desserts. It's located at a very convenient intersection where multiple MUNI lines run. They have a couple tables and chairs but it can get pretty loud so I wouldn't recommend studying here. Overall, a decent boba spot in the Excelsior District.“

“Really just a boba guys. Asked why it's called the burrow and was told that it's where a lot of their pasties are delivered out from. Overall boba guys is pretty solid boba. I usually order a jasmine milk tea with 70% sweetness. Only downside is that sometimes the boba can be a little watery and I wish that the tea taste was stronger/more consistent“

Osmanthus Oong Tea
Fruit Tea

“Went here on a Thursday night and my friend and I were the only ones there. There's barstools facing the window and a bench along the wall so plenty of seating, but the restroom was closed. Unfortunately, a lot of the drinks were out of stock so the menu was much more limited. My friend recommended I get the Very Citrus drink, and I thought it was great! The contrast of the slushy with the jelly made for a fun texture combination. The osmanthus jelly had a very unique flavor that I really liked. I got less sweet and it was perfect. My friend got their soy milk tea -- the soy cream was good but the tea had burnt rice (but not in the way that tea can be when it is over-brewed). The drinks came out relatively fast as well. Overall, I don't think I would try milk tea here but I would definitely get a fruit tea if I were back.“
