“This place is pure Guatemalan awesomeness! It's just as good if not better than the original. The pan francés And pan dulce are on point, and the breakfast is amazing. If you love Guatemalan and Central American style breakfast this is the place for you. I have to warn you though, parking and seating is tough on the weekends. So be ready to park a few blocks away, and hunt for a good table once you get there.“

“There are wheat items on the menu, which has been increasing in occurrence, so I am concerned about the gluten free cross contamination. So far I have not had any bad reaction as someone highly sensitive to gluten. The food is very delicious, im obsessed with their salmon sandwich, so tangy and a little spicy. “I went to a Starbread at a different location a few years ago and fell in love with the señiorita bread. I was in San Francisco for a few days and found out there was a Starbread here as well. I wanted to go back and get the bread that I remembered being so good. Well, this place did not disappoint! The señiorita bread was actually better here, it was fresh and sweet and buttery! Because I was traveling back home, I only got 10 for $6 however next time I will be getting a bigger box to bring back home!“

“Been there twice this month. Staff is friendly. Interior is lightly lit. Menu items are displayed clearly. Food is Asian sweet, not American sweet (which is a good thing). “One of our weekly go to locations to get pastries after groceries shopping at Ranch 99. We normally get baked Pork Buns, Cream coconut bun, cocktail bun or egg tarts. We have also bought cakes here. Love the tiramisu, mocha cake and their fruit tart cake. Unlike other cakes, their cakes are not sweet and doesn’t have too much whipped cream. Love it.“

“What a GEM! In town for a concert at Cow Palace and loved this place. The croissants were the best I’ve had in my life and he makes them. They were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft/flaky on the inside. Husband and I loved our breakfast so much we went back the same day for lunch. Loved the Vietnamese coffee and Thai tea as well. “We got the Ube cheesecake. It was a good size and was nicely packaged. The color and presentation were 10/10, but most importantly the flavor and texture of the cake was amazing. It’s very soft and delicious without being overly sweet. We will definitely be back here again.“

“This is a brand new bakery in our area. They have a grocery store right across the street from the spot. What a quaint and beautiful bakery with all kinds of savory and sweet pastries options.

The employees there are very friendly and will assist you the best that they can.

There is plenty of parking. However, the ihop nearby can really get busy and take up the spaces quickly.

There's a section of the bakery that has seating, as you can see from my pictures. Your view outside to the parking lot. And the inside is just very tastefully done and matches the environment.

“I went here over the weekend, I didn't know that ownership had changed and the items being sold were different until I came across it on yelp/google. I was looking for best breakfast places near me. I read they offered a variety of empanadas and hopia ube.
I walked in to see a line and a bunch of O.G. lolos/lolas playing scratchers/ drinking coffee. I was like ok they must be good if there's a line. I ordered a sampler for my family to try of empanadas: pork,beef,tuna, and chicken. For my husband and I we got ube and mongo hopia.
The empanadas were a hit with my family. The hopias were fresh and flaky. The inside had a generous amount of ube/mongo. I found the price of $8 for 5 pieces to be steep but it's way better than Goldilocks and the possible hit or miss hopia from other places.
I'll definitely be back soon to try the empanadas first hand and get more hopia. The gentleman who helped me was super nice and took the time to talk to me despite the growing line. I'm not too sure what the people in line were waiting for but I'll be back to find out and keep you posted!“

“This is my favorite location when I feel like getting some empanadas, pastries (mamon), or cakes (Ube flan cake). Empanadas, I usually order the chicken, beef and pork. Beef is my favorite. They came out with a spicy chicken which I haven’t tried. And recently I just bought their version of senorita bread. Will update how it is. But I always will come back when I need my empanadas fix.“

“My family loves going to Manila Oriental. Whenever I don't want to go in with them, I like going in here. The store is clean and always has freshly made pastries and goodies.
It has the standard staples like bbq pork buns, egg tarts, and sesame balls, to name a few. I like that it is a no frills bakery and it is reasonably priced. People who work here are nice and tell me about any other fresh seasonal items they have. You can't really ask for more, just be warned if you come later in the afternoon, most of the items might be sold out“

“Sheng Kee is one of my favorite Chinese bakeries in the Bay Area, especially around Mid-Autumn Festival! 🥮

I got the 12-piece mooncake box with four flavors: red date, pineapple, lotus seed, and red bean. They’re the perfect size for sharing, and my favorite is the lotus seed!

The salted egg yolk pastries are also amazing—huge egg yolks, flaky pastry, and beautiful gift packaging. Their taro cakes, cake rolls, egg tarts, and savory breads are always great too.
