“I love this spot! My sister used to work here while I was growing up as well as a few friends while I was in my teens. It has always been a peaceful place to draw, read, catch up with a friend, and sip coffee with a snack. They have changed ownership a number of times and always retained good quality! From time to time a man will come in and play piano on the out of tune wooden one. Mostly 60s-early 80s music, he knows all the lyrics too! The landscape artwork by Pam Anderberg is really phenomenal and matches the coastal energy of the cafe. Couldn’t speak higher of a cafe in Pacifica!
The line can be a bit overwhelming on weekends if there is an event. When there was a running event I think it took 20 minutes to get a coffee and muffin.

Reducing a star because of a female barista here that gave terrible service. I asked if I could order two separate single shot espressos, instead of a double shot to which she responded “take your scam somewhere else this is a small business etc.” and generally took a harsh tone. I still ordered and just got a double shot. When I gave her cash for this, she tossed the change back across the counter from my purchase which slid onto the floor. This interaction has stuck with me as I’ve never had a problem visiting this cafe before. Anytime I see this barista behind the counter I decide I’ll just have coffee at home instead.“

“Amazing! I’m currently obsessed with their Milky Way Bombe! Explosion of flavor. Fruit tarts are good, and I can also recommend the raspberry cheesecake. They do NOT have eating spaces, so this is a strictly to-go store. They also have a much bigger selection of cakes through the website that you can order for pickup. I haven’t given any of those a try, but they definitely look good. Service is always polite and helpful. Since the place is small, If there’s a line, there’s a little sign at the sidewalk indicating it.“

“I recently moved to Portland from the Mission (where I lived around the corner from Arizmendi for its entire existence), and for all of Portland's strengths, no bakery here can rival Arizmendi's sourdough. But truthfully, few bakeries anywhere in the world do, and none exceeds it. That Arizmendi is genuinely worker owned makes it that much yummier. I miss it!“

“Got the Paris ham sandwich with salted butter & cornichons, fantastic. Not really “Paris” since it’s not a white baguette, but it’s an incredibly good wheat bread. You would be happy eating the bread by itself.“

The club sandwich was put together nice. I didn't know it came with jalapenos peppers, but honestly it was perfect. I wish I took pictures, but I enjoyed it too much. Will be back next time we're in the city.

“WOW the food is delicious. I never liked lamb before, but the lamb was to die for, it was so juicy and tender and flavorful - I added it on top of hummus and ate it with their warm pita bread. Also that was the best falafel I've ever had in my life, hands down -crispy and flavorful and NOT DRY. The pickles were amazing too. 10/10 will return.“

“This HK / Macau bakery is a shining star amongst the plentiful Chinese bakeries sprinkled all over San Francisco. Its fair to say their portuguese egg tarts (po tats) are internationally known, and arguably the best in the Bay Area. A sleeper baked good is their curry beef bao - that's my go to for a quick bite in the early AM.

My other favorite are their whole cakes - specifically their mixed fruit cakes. Hot take - asian cakes are better than western cakes as the frosting is less sweet, and the cake is more spongy. Their cakes save me a short drive to Sunset Bakery (another staple Chinese bakery on the western side of SF).

The other items on their menu are fine - but these are the three that really stand out. The ladies are great, the place is a literal hole in the wall, and I always feel lucky when there's less than 1/2 dozen people waiting to be helped.

If you need a drink to go with your baked goods, their HK milk tea is pretty darn good too.“

“We had a great experience working with Yana at My Baking Creations! Yana was responsive, creative and an amazing cake artist/baker. From start to end of the process, Yana was communicative and helpful to bring our design idea into fruition. Delivery was seamless and on-time as well. The cake had beautiful fondant work and the chocolate cake tasted divine and decadent. Looking forward to going to Yana again for future birthday cakes!“

“I went to a Starbread at a different location a few years ago and fell in love with the señiorita bread. I was in San Francisco for a few days and found out there was a Starbread here as well. I wanted to go back and get the bread that I remembered being so good. Well, this place did not disappoint! The señiorita bread was actually better here, it was fresh and sweet and buttery! Because I was traveling back home, I only got 10 for $6 however next time I will be getting a bigger box to bring back home!“

“Solid! I got an egg, cheddar, and sausage sandwich on a sesame bagel for $10.95 and took it across the street to eat in the cute Noe Valley plaza. The workers were friendly and the service was very fast. Great spot for a hearty midday snack.“

“This place is pure Guatemalan awesomeness! It's just as good if not better than the original. The pan francés And pan dulce are on point, and the breakfast is amazing. If you love Guatemalan and Central American style breakfast this is the place for you. I have to warn you though, parking and seating is tough on the weekends. So be ready to park a few blocks away, and hunt for a good table once you get there.“

“This place is super cute and I loved all the decorations. Service was nice overall. I tried their ruby and salmon sandwiches which were both good. I thought the bagels were a bit hard but it might have tasted better if I ate it there/sooner. I also would’ve liked the green onion cream cheese to have a bit more green onion flavor. I liked the vegan cream cheese though. The line moved quickly but I had to wait a while for the sandwiches. Drinks and plain bagels were handed out really quickly though. Would give it another try.“

“Lots of variety at great prices! They have everything from bagels to english muffins to sourdough and your basic sandwich loaf bread. Many breads are close to sell by date, but the breads all freeze wonderfully. Deals range from about $1-$1.99 perloaf with 3 for $5 deals for some. Also, free loaf of bread from the rack near register when you purchase $8 worth of items!“

Note that everyday from 3-6pm, all drinks are half off. What a great offering.
We got the matcha cake slice, the cherry pie, oatmeal raisin cookie, and the mini chocolate chip cookie.
Cake was light and each bite contained matcha and yuzu. A solid option. The cookies were soft and chewy.

“There are wheat items on the menu, which has been increasing in occurrence, so I am concerned about the gluten free cross contamination. So far I have not had any bad reaction as someone highly sensitive to gluten. The food is very delicious, im obsessed with their salmon sandwich, so tangy and a little spicy. I love the staff too, very sweet and caring.“
