Not only is the food delicious the family that owns Universal Bakery is one of a kind. Señora V,Jorge his wife and sweet daughters I can't say enough good things about them. The food is comforting everything on the menu is delicious. My guilty pleasure is the mini conchas I literally can eat a dozen I have to stop myself. You won't find a better breakfast for your money. Stuffing the bread with plátano beans egg and whichever meat you choose ugh I dream about the first bite....read full review
Amazing pastries and food at an affordable price. Flaky, sweet, fresh pastries I was very surprised by. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich served on a fresh roll. Will definitely be back!
I had an issue with a delivery through a third-party app, but the owner of the bakery contacted me personally to offer a solution. He personally drove to my house to deliver my order and even gave me double the food I ordered to make up for the inconvenience. The food is delicious, but his kindness and commitment to his customers are what truly set them apart. Highly recommended!

Universal Bakery on Mission is a popular spot for breakfast in San Francisco and a hidden gem in the community. Their tortas are highly recommended, with fresh ingredients and generous portions. Customers often praise the very friendly and helpful staff. The #6 breakfast option, which includes scrambled eggs with chorizo and fried plantains, is a favorite. The bakery offers amazing conchas. The Pan con todo is quite possibly the best breakfast sandwich in all of the Bay Area. Customers also love the Bolillo, Frijoles Negro con Queso Fresco and the grilled Pollo Adobo Asada. The line can be out of the door, but the deliciously good food with decent prices makes the wait worthwhile.
