After another local bakery redesigned our family favorite, I found Black Jet based on locals' recommendations on a message board. Their funfetti cake is the best and got so many compliments from grown up guests at our daughter's birthday party.
I also love their sourdough. We've found our family's new go-to cake place. I can't wait to go back in the meantime.

My favorite breakfast sandwich in the city (and yes, I've had all the viral ones). Rich, cheesy, peppery, & spicy on a beautiful tender roll. It's fantastic.
Their pastries and other baked goods are also great. Vibe is always chill & pleasant. A gem in Bernal Heights.

I'm hesitant to tell you how good the buckwheat financiers are, because they will likely sell out even faster, but they are remarkably good.
There's a reason there is almost always a line outside the door here. Great treats and coffee, along with quick, friendly service.
